Tonight was ribs and I had always covered them in aluminum foil only, I think the parchment paper really lock in the flavour of the rub.

Hey John really good video! There is another method for doing them in an oven that Chef Robert Irvine of The Food Network does, he seasons them then wraps them in Plastic Wrap then in Foil and cooks them the same method you just did. And for people wondering No the Plastic Wrap does not stick or melt while it is cooking. I wish you would try it because the end result is some of the best Ribs you ever tasted!!
Got my ribs in the ninja foodi oven right now john... about 4 and half pounds prepared exactly the way u did it 2 and a half hours at 250 degrees gonna pull them out and check temp. I'll let u know the results!
I think it helps seal the moisture better and keeps the salts and seasonings off of the aluminum which i think may have some reaction to each other...thanks for watching!!!

I would do it work exact temp and times... but as i always recommend... check temps with an instant read when you remove them... but I recommend doing that even if you do the exact settings, times and temps I use...I don't think there is enough difference in these 2 settings to have an effect as it is only a slight fan speed difference...

It might be a little over kill but I'm not crazy about salts and other seasonings directly contacting the aluminum due to chemical reactions etc... that being said I don't always add the parchment paper...thanks for watching!!!
The one with the probe is the DT251 but the fact is it having a screen or not is not specific to model... some early ones have it...I think...lol... ninja has not explained it as far as I know...thanks for watching!!!

Ribs look good. I've only wrapped them in foil papper after the 3-2-1 method when in the smoker.. I've never heard of using parchment paper..wonder if there's any difference? Anyway happy eating.

@@JohnSanders I’m telling the timing was spot on and the temp was perfect my ribs came out at about 185ish and then hit them with the sauce for about 3min and they peeled from the bone not one piece of chewy meat well done my friend well done! Will for sure check out more of your Ninja videos!
Going to give this a good try tonight to see how it turns out. Not using the same air fryer unit though, but the technique and time & temp should be the same. Removing that skin was not near as easy as you made it look though. I am a real fumble-thumbed individual, so me and that set of ribs had to have a "Come to Jesus" talk a few times and I renewed my old sailor vocabulary in addressing it before I finally got the skin removed. :-)

Is that DT201 or DT251? Because it has a probe place which is DT251 but then you have a fan grill which DT251 does not comes with.,...

Removing that skin was not near as easy as you made it look though. I am a real fumble-thumbed individual, so me and that set of ribs had to have a "Come to Jesus" talk a few times and I renewed my old sailor vocabulary in addressing it before I finally got the skin removed. :-)

I’ve NEVER removed the membrane that easily. Never. I’m either very impressed, or a little skeptical. Can’t decide.
