Brilliant and well presented vid, followed your suggestions line by line and what a difference its made in my game, if you were in this part of the world i'd owe you a beer, 07 RTX 4070 and non G-sync curved monitor, again my thanks
Are you running VR or Track IR ? Reason I ask is that I've heard people lock the track IR to 60 fps and get super smooth results however its not the case for me. I set the fps to 115 min as this ensures smooth fps when looking around. Anything lower feels like I'm getting way lower fps but I'm not. I hope this makes sense.
I use TrackIR. Yeah, it can get a little twitchy but I have a reason I keep it locked at 60. I record at 60. I can record at 30, 60 or 120. And I can't get 120 at max graphics. So I keep it at 60 and to be honest, it's good enough for me. The reason I keep the fps same is the recording software. If there is a difference between the recording fps and playing fps, the recording software will either add or delete frames to compensate, and that will make it stutter even more.
@@MeanStreakGaming I'm also running an RTX 4080 @ 3440 x 1440 with a 12700k, and 64GB of DDR4 and recently learned that I don't actually need the performance boost of DLSS, so I quit using it because performance is just fine without it. But now I'm trying to figure out if DLAA is designed with performance in mind, or quality, and if it's performance, then perhaps MSAA 4X is the better solution if you don't suffer any FPS loss, which I don't. I might be too blind to actually make out any differences in the graphics, so that's why I'm asking others (you)
@Solo6R well, as I've read from other DCS players, DLAA is makes the landscape look better, while MSAA make the planes and cockpits look nicer. But to be honest, I've found that MSAA looks better for me In general.

Appreciate it bud, I'm just glad it helped you. What part of the world are you in?
😀A tad west of Europe, historically the beers are room temperature
Well I'm in North West Germany.

Thank you for the video Sir, May i ask, what are your settings for DCS tab on NCP as you only did for the global settings? Thank you
Yeah the global settings are the what the video was about. I'll happily go through the rest with you if you want.

I’ve got a very similar set up but with the 4090 I’m gonna try these settings when I get on later thank you very much. New PCs and DCS.
Awesome! New PC always feels good. Happy for you.

Performance aside, which is supposed to look better? DLAA (without the use of DLSS), or MSAA 4x?
To be honest, I just tried it all and chose the one that looked better to me.
@@MeanStreakGaming Fair nuff.
With all the specs and info, I still just go off of what looked better to me.

Just 1 question do you have turn on Ray tracing, in nvidia panel ? (aka, rtx)
Well you can if you want to
3440x1440 isn't 4k
It's close enough
