Incredible video about how our combat aviators put themselves on the line every day, and let’s be serious about it: even training exercises present an element of danger. I am grateful for the service of all of our men and women who play a part of our national defense. Thank you all who keep us safe, and wishing you safety in all aspects, regardless of whether it is flying, or performing other much needed roles in our military operations.

@Puppy_Puppington being in the military they resent you taking videos of anything especially publicly posting it, sometimes this can lead to punishment, also can vary by command and situation. Just doing a simple f 16 search the only pilot that shows up 98% of the time is right here, he probably had to do a lot of convincing to his command, and his tail is always on the line making these kinds of videos. Also i could be completely wrong and hardly any other pilots likes making videos, but even in the airline industry taking videos is considered highly unprofessional and can get you fired
I'd love to see their airspeed and G's pulled. You can hear them struggling to breath when banking etc. Really cool perspective though! It's no wonder why the F-16 is still a force to respect.
if dcs' flight models are somewhat accurate (they are certainly not 100%), the speeds are likely to be around 400-600 knots (f16 best sustained turn rate is around mach .8, 14 degrees per second) and the sustained g's are around 7, though when someone has a big advantage (read: behind the aircraft he is attacking) the speeds likely drop and the g's increase to the limit which is 9 i believe

This is amazing! The skill level these guys must have to fly in combat. Trying to jink while straining TF outta their necks looking back at the bogey. Wow.
I have always had a question with the missile placement on the F-16. Why is the Sidewinder placed under the wing instead of on the wingtip? Wouldn’t the Sidewinder have better visibility from the wingtips? How about efficiency? On jets newer like the F-18s there isn’t the wingtip AMRAAM option anymore. I have always wondered why.
On the F-16, putting the AMRAAMs on the wingtips reduces wing flutter compared to having an AIM-9 there. The AMRAAM is heavier, and as such "is more difficult to move around", keeping the wing better in place.
@@huntingfox3351I'm not sure if that's the real reason for it. Normally in an air battle the Amrams would first be used at a distance, so that the wingtips are no longer equipped. 🙄...? For better maneuver performance.?
