you don't need to fight him, run towards dungeon with chocobo turn around lure the basilisk towards you and the other crab monsters and then run by, I did it at level 18 didn't fight him or the crabs, just moved the circle surrounding the basilisk by moving the basilisk lol
just an fyi... you can make this even easier.. grab the first hunt inside the gas station.. for the crocodile looking things... that will despawn the lvl56 guy and replace him with lvl 20 crocodiles...
Even easier - walk past the snake, pick up the dynamo, and leave. It's outside his aggro radius
The quest people are talking about is called Avenge the Anglers and you can get it in Lestallum at the Tostwell Grill. Recommended level is 24. Rank 2 hunter is required if im not mistaken. I didn't grab it till i was already at rank 3.

I'm probably late on this but...I have the Dynamo and the Bioblaster but Cid won't take it..
Fucking Level 47 magitek soldiers showed in the middle of my fight with this thing. So then I had to deal with fucking 15 or so enemies apart the giant ass snake. It was hardcore but I nearly had a heart attack when the soldiers arrived.
There is an even easier way. You don't have to fight the snake. I don't remember which hunt but it's from that guy at the restaurant where your video started. At this same location will appear much more weaker monsters without the snake...after you kill them pick up the dynamo before the snake pops up and you are golden.
Do you mean to get the snake fat away from you? I tried that and it work.
honestly me without the ultima weapon equils me getting mi as whoup the good thing about the ultima blade is that its easy to get compare to other ultima weapons

You don't have to fight that snake if you do the Cool Callatein Mist bounty, show up during the day once you have the bounty and the snake will be gone. The Dynamo will be there!!
why is it when I talk to cid that it doesn't do anything?
You might have the same problem I did. If you have a weapon that is up-gradable, but he doesn't offer you the quest to upgrade it, then you might have a bug. This seems to be "common" problem as many others have also experienced it. He no longer will offer to upgrade any weapons. I had to restart the game to get it to work for me. There doesn't seem to be a "fix" action to correct it without starting a a new game.
Yea idk where this is coming from but for me it takes me to the beacon so here’s a glitch. Everyone is being taken elsewhere but for me it’s the beacon.
I did this at level 28 with low potions and I beat the thing by myself Ignis Prompto and Gladio had all fallen it was badass at least it was for me

You do not have to fight the snake. Just rent a Chocobo and run past the snake. Dismount get the item. Get back on. And run past the snake again.

I know I’m like 3 yrs late but you can’t unless you load a previous save or start a new game, I did the same thing on my first play too.

You don't have to fight Midgardsormr to get it though. Just walk past him.

i got the ultimate blade with 208 attack is diferent for ather people
