Yo to make this faster park your car on the road closes to the hunting area and rest at the rest stop next to the diner. This way you don't have to travel with the chocobo back a forward. So when you are done with killing the bird fast travel to rest point, then get the mission again then fast travel to your car which pretty much gets you back to the birds instantly.
yeah even without the offroad car - if the trip's gonna take longer than 20 seconds or so on bird just park the car nearest to the kill zone and sleep at the rest stop - teleport to car to kill the things then kill the things then teleport to the last place you rested to turn in and reset the quest
basically you need to kill 50 cockatrices to gain 50 crests and use them all in one flask, which gives you 4 exp cast lvl99. If you use rare coin you get 5x cast with 8 coins and if you use debased coin you get 7x cast of the same level which means that your way still take roughly the same amount of time, if not longer.
Great method that doesn't rely on the RNG gods to take pity on you (not to mention waiting through the dreaded load times over... and over... and over...). Also, CHICKENS OF DOOOOOOOM!!!
you can repeat any hunt you want as many times as you want by just selecting the hunt again. I did the same this for couerl whiskers (I couldn't find the damn cat in the wild to save my life)
Awesome guide! What I've done with your guide is after I break the crests on all three - I run out of the battle and out of the hunt zone (yellow zone) then save and reload. I run back in to the zone to break their crests. Rinse and repeat ;D. Epic grind spot. Though I won't be getting the tail feathers I'm happy with the crests I've farmed. Thanks for this! Chickens of doom! also if you want this method to do even better, you can also use the infinte health regeneration and man regeneration glitch/exploit to make sure you never go into stasis, so you can just warp strike infinitely and break all the crests in a matter of seconds. Here is how you do it for those who don't know. First have a full tech bar ready to go and find a battle zone that had a hanging warp point (as in the points Noctis hangs off a cliff or something by his weapon) then target a enemy with a tech skill that allows Noctis to follow up at the end while still hanging off of the warp point. this will cause the game to think you are still on that warp point even though your not, giving you the regen the points provide for free. this will last until you quit the game, fast travel won't even cancel it. happy farming friends.

***** -_- I guess i set myself up for that one. Allow me to clarify. Normally has you progress through a game you start gaining more gear, but you also start to get gear specialized for one thing. Weapons tend to gain elemental damage, and clothes resist to that element. The defense part of this game is not really a worry since everyone two shots me. One shot in superbosses case. So i put great worry unto my weapons so i can kill the enemy faster than they can get me out of healing items. However for each weapon type there is always one weapon that is better than all the others.Making the need to switch weapons nonexistent. The only real decision on the gear i had to use was if i wanted raw damage or more stats. however i do enjoy the effect most weapons have in the game, its just that almost all of them become useless late game and their effect just aint worth it. Heck flans are the main reason why im thinking about this. Got stuck with 5 or 6 of them in a small space...camera sure didnt help that time... Sorry for just bitching about this, i really love this game. Its just that for some reason my brain keeps telling me to compare this to the Witcher 3.
Thanx but actually I think debased coins are way easier, without noticing I had like 8 I got during my gameplay and after I read about them and tried save/load I got like 9 with total 17, now I'll just search to reach 24. Those giant birds need a lot of time and higher level to even think about them, and 50 is a lot
all of this is awesome. but 1 hour of grinding is too much for me, plus I'm not that desperate, if you are smart you can get to level 99 just by doing the sidequests and story missions.
experixast works best with the higher tier items, so the exp level 30 item works like this, 30 x the amount used x 100. So say you use 10 that's 30,000 exp from a cast which you can then boost with moogle charms and food boosters, having the 100% with a couple of moogle charms will net you loads then just rest at altissia for 30,000 gil and triple your exp gains
"unlimited" its the same way with rare and debased. you could say the same with the coins then. Unlimited would be you make one or two spells, and somehow manage to not spend the spell, keeping it forever and abusing the perks forever.
coins rely on being a vegetable and sitting through load after load to change 1 blue sparkle on the ground to a coin. At least you get to fight things with this.

the mother and child rice dish, which can be found during night at lestallum's overlook increases item drop rate by 50% and experience earned by 20% iirc (found on the opposite side of the road from the markets, farthest towards the scenic side and as far west as you can go. a cutscene should happen, after which the recipe is discovered). i used it to farm wyvern wings during a different repeatable hunt that gave ~500-750k gil an hour
Aripaima roe is pricy to purchase at 100,000 Gil but works way better, 3 of them gives you lvl 90 expiricast. Fishing and hunts earn you tons of money from selling items you know you won't use for food, weapon upgrades, or elemancy. The bonus exp and ap from hunts and fishing don't hurt either, so it's not too difficult to get Aripaima roe maxed out in your inventory. You just need AP for warp strike kills and all of the fishing tree unlocked in the ascension tree to start this method.
I find it great that you're making a video to help people out that's awesome, however I find it odd that anyone really needs to farm anything for xp. I simply played the game, I simply did not use any exp items at all until after I finished the game. I personally did a ton of side quests so I was somewhere near 50-60 also utilizing the x2 or x3 inn's whenever I had a bulk amount of xp such as 50-100k. After i finished the game I then just utilized all the exp items I had and created as many 1 fire spells I could and ran around using it on anything I could find. Got myself around 500k exp which using the x3 inn landed me around 1.5mil which put me well past 90, then I just played regularly, quests...etc I did not extended farming of the game. I feel the biggest thing to remember is that you do not need to constantly rest, it's more valuable sometimes to ignore resting for awhile when doing side quests in order for the inn multipliers to really pay off.

Nice video! I did find that playing the Justice Monsters 5 game for 40 minutes netted me 500k gil. Used that to buy 5 Roe items, 3 roe nets +90 exp spell, plus the remaining 2 goes for another +60 for a total of +150 in exp spells. More EXP, less time spent.
AuroraRipshreader its a good item you can get in altissa. You can win them in the arena for 250k or you can buy them at a vender for 100k gil. they are +30 exp for spells.
do any of these affect how many drops you get? essentially can you stack to do this even quicker? 1) key of prosperity 2) Gladiolus skill from the ascension tree that double items from his survival skill 3) the food that increases the amount of item enemies drop

would it be a better idea to retrieve the crests cancel hunt and repeat? you're more likely to get it when you break the crest right? only asking because the targeting system is rather weak in this game and makes it hard to fight these fucks sometimes.
Easiest way I found is after you reach altissia. If you farm arena mini game you can get that super expensive fish. The best part of it it only takes three to get a lvl 90 exp spell and if you constantly bet 9999 medals you can rack up really fast. Takes a quarter of the time as any other method.
For me to speed it up, i go to thag station to rest there, use the regelia as a travel point by placing it i a certain spot where you can just run straight there, do the farm then fast travel back to the resting place which in this case is th station, get the bounty again, fast travel to where you parked, savage mode on chickens, rinse, repeat, win.
if you use the nix band and rest there, accept the quest and drink the 50 gil drink to prevent poison, then drive to the closest parking spot, you would only have to ride the chocobo a short distance. then you can return to rest point and reflag quest and warp to car for faster results.
For me, this solves two problems; acquiring decent experience and making money (which I'm spending on Ingredients)...so thank you, and of course, Chickens of DOOM...!! ^_^
hey do you mind making a magic guild in what items are best to use (or keep to se later) when making magic spells. (i learned a few items make you use the spell more then once while only counting once.. but other then that i dont know what else.. i am hording everything now not knowing what items are best to keep or to even use when mixing them with magick
You can use the Ring of Luci and spam Death to speed up the kill farming after Chapter 13. Would be the best point in the game to start farming levels.
the trick i use is use gladio and press circle if ps4 or press b button if xbox one then you can easily break thier heads to get the crests that way you wont have to use wrap on them slow process in my opinion
This plus using the Rare/Debased coins and other Debased items you find is a good combo early game though tbh I made it to chapter 3 at lvl 1 and already completed Daurell Caverns and was Hunter Rank 4 the game is relatively easy if you know what your doing Oh I played after the later updates were out so Nixeperience Band was available to halt exp. tallying
50 crests replaying the same hunt vs 8/9 rare coins? The coin method is better in my opinion. Just go on the lestullum path and if you have got near 8 then start using the reload method to ensure you at least get 8 before all items are picked up
Damn chapter 3 at level 52? I to chapter 3 at level 30. And I thought I was taking my time lol. I finished the game at like level 68 (but it takes like 40,000 exp to level up once so yeah)

Amish Tech Support there are TONS of SQ and hunts for you to take trust me. I was level 59 by chapter 4. thats when i actually got a trophy for 80 finished sidequests. They arent the most interesting but the grind is addictive plus the Imperial base camps give tons of EXP.
You don't need xp modifiers to level up fast. Doing the Wyvern hunt mission by Ravatogh some 10 times after eating Maagho lasagna in Altissia nets 300,000 xp. Just use Ring of Lucii on the Wyverns for fast kills.
Jibbers that mission gives me 2500 xp. so, with the 100% boost plus moogle charm, its about 6000. Have to do that hunt 50 times for me to get 300k. and Im aiming for a million
I ran the Steyliff Grove today and it pits you against quite a few of these on the final 20 or so floors. I got a grip of them but didn't count them. too bad I'm already maxed out but I'll definitely use this with the new game plus mode more than likely.
took me about 8 hours to farm 97 rare coins doing the save/load method. i got to lvl99 but ignis, gladio, and promto only got to lvl96. thats because i had moggle equipped. now im in chapter 3 with lvl99 Noctis. doesnt seem op to me at all. hp makes up the difference between dying and staying alive in battle against weak monsters only from how i see it

They do, I'm sure the point he's trying to get across is the fact you don't need to search for coins, doing this hunt will be available at all times. And you can keep on farming so i.e it'll give you an unlimited supply.
it's kinda not for one: there's sort of a glitch that happens if you coin farm long enough without sleeping where all the foes disappear - even at night - so you can do the loop easy as shit - set the car at the top of the loop work your way down hitting over a hundred spots in under 20 minutes warp back to the car rinse repeat - easy as shit i don't even save scum it two: once you've got a decent loop in that same 'hour' you could get more than 50 coins probably - which is more than a single spell and third: 50 feathers is resetting that fucking quest 18 times - FOR A SINGLE spell that only has four casts - when you can get 8 coins quicker than doing that quest i dunno 2-3X and not only do you make a high end expericast spell in faster time - BUT it's also got more than 4 casts - iirc the two i made for funzies restarting the game recently before the first forced expensive extra exp spot were - adding 8 coins gives 4 extra casts not 50 for 1 it's your opinion sure - but it's misguided at best: if you want a simple and easy and guaranteed loop then sure - but even then it's got a few issues like the back and forth still takes up a lot of time it's a very weak boost for expericast chapter 3 isn't an issue - level 4 hunt however is a rather large roadblock given there's only what 5 levels max anyway - implying you've probably got to do half the hunts in the game anyway (which might be more than chapter 3 - you can run around the area getting coins in chapter 3 though) - if you can't stand just going around picking up coins then sure it's a great option - but it just doesn't actually compare for the ease and the quickness and the time verses high level expericasts gained - you spent an hour getting only 4 casts and i got that more while savescumming before chapter 3 in half the time - loading screens taken into account and needing more than 8 coins because it was debased instead of rare - i got more casts quicker and in an earlier part of the game without a high hunt requirement one last thing: you're gonna want to do this in batches and having a 50 item requirement kinda slows this down - if you've got 8 flasks that's farming for like 5 hours - 8 50 item hits for filling the flasks then maxing out your items so 99 more - for 10 overall flask burns with the 100% exp food and stopping the grind and using the flasks and then refilling them with debased and rare coins you could potentially have a lot more in between grinds - fill the 8 flasks with probably debased coins and eventually get near max of both of them with full flasks - except it's two item groups debased coins have like 2x as many fills so that's 8 already full and 4 refills - but the rare coins it's over 10 refills - making the most out of your break from grinding for materials and actually getting the exp in the most expedient manner (not necessarily 'faster' this idea really more about sort of less stopping to actually use the items repeatedly and getting more casts in per cycle)

Cerberus sniper rifle works so much better in breaking the crest. One shot most of the time.

also, if you equip hard-edged GS, hold L1 to block then counter, and immediately warp strike you will drop the crest every time.

For me to speed it up, i go to thag station to rest there, use the regelia as a travel point by placing it i a certain spot where you can just run straight there, do the farm then fast travel back to the resting place which in this case is th station, get the bounty again, fast travel to where you parked, savage mode on chickens, rinse, repeat, win.
the side quest doesnt appear for me. im on chapter 3 is there anything particular that i have to do for it to appear?
if you use the nix band and rest there, accept the quest and drink the 50 gil drink to prevent poison, then drive to the closest parking spot, you would only have to ride the chocobo a short distance. then you can return to rest point and reflag quest and warp to car for faster results.

hey do you mind making a magic guild in what items are best to use (or keep to se later) when making magic spells. (i learned a few items make you use the spell more then once while only counting once.. but other then that i dont know what else.. i am hording everything now not knowing what items are best to keep or to even use when mixing them with magick

You can use the Ring of Luci and spam Death to speed up the kill farming after Chapter 13. Would be the best point in the game to start farming levels.

the trick i use is use gladio and press circle if ps4 or press b button if xbox one then you can easily break thier heads to get the crests that way you wont have to use wrap on them slow process in my opinion

This plus using the Rare/Debased coins and other Debased items you find is a good combo early game though tbh I made it to chapter 3 at lvl 1 and already completed Daurell Caverns and was Hunter Rank 4 the game is relatively easy if you know what your doing

Major downside in using crests instead of debased coins: Using crests gives you 4 spells and using debased coins gives you 9
50 crests replaying the same hunt vs 8/9 rare coins? The coin method is better in my opinion. Just go on the lestullum path and if you have got near 8 then start using the reload method to ensure you at least get 8 before all items are picked up

OP, how do you repeat this hunt? Just made it to Chapter 3 at Level 52 and Rank 3 hunter, please help.
To repeat any hunt just select it again like you did the first time you took it.

Amish Tech Support there are TONS of SQ and hunts for you to take trust me. I was level 59 by chapter 4. thats when i actually got a trophy for 80 finished sidequests. They arent the most interesting but the grind is addictive plus the Imperial base camps give tons of EXP.
You don't need xp modifiers to level up fast. Doing the Wyvern hunt mission by Ravatogh some 10 times after eating Maagho lasagna in Altissia nets 300,000 xp. Just use Ring of Lucii on the Wyverns for fast kills.
Jibbers that mission gives me 2500 xp. so, with the 100% boost plus moogle charm, its about 6000. Have to do that hunt 50 times for me to get 300k. and Im aiming for a million
I ran the Steyliff Grove today and it pits you against quite a few of these on the final 20 or so floors. I got a grip of them but didn't count them. too bad I'm already maxed out but I'll definitely use this with the new game plus mode more than likely.

took me about 8 hours to farm 97 rare coins doing the save/load method. i got to lvl99 but ignis, gladio, and promto only got to lvl96. thats because i had moggle equipped. now im in chapter 3 with lvl99 Noctis. doesnt seem op to me at all. hp makes up the difference between dying and staying alive in battle against weak monsters only from how i see it

They do, I'm sure the point he's trying to get across is the fact you don't need to search for coins, doing this hunt will be available at all times. And you can keep on farming so i.e it'll give you an unlimited supply.

for one: there's sort of a glitch that happens if you coin farm long enough without sleeping where all the foes disappear - even at night - so you can do the loop easy as shit - set the car at the top of the loop work your way down hitting over a hundred spots in under 20 minutes warp back to the car rinse repeat - easy as shit i don't even save scum it
two: once you've got a decent loop in that same 'hour' you could get more than 50 coins probably - which is more than a single spell
and third: 50 feathers is resetting that fucking quest 18 times - FOR A SINGLE spell that only has four casts - when you can get 8 coins quicker than doing that quest i dunno 2-3X and not only do you make a high end expericast spell in faster time - BUT it's also got more than 4 casts - iirc the two i made for funzies restarting the game recently before the first forced expensive extra exp spot were - adding 8 coins gives 4 extra casts not 50 for 1
it's your opinion sure - but it's misguided at best: if you want a simple and easy and guaranteed loop then sure - but even then it's got a few issues like the back and forth still takes up a lot of time it's a very weak boost for expericast chapter 3 isn't an issue - level 4 hunt however is a rather large roadblock given there's only what 5 levels max anyway - implying you've probably got to do half the hunts in the game anyway (which might be more than chapter 3 - you can run around the area getting coins in chapter 3 though)

if you can't stand just going around picking up coins then sure it's a great option - but it just doesn't actually compare for the ease and the quickness and the time verses high level expericasts gained - you spent an hour getting only 4 casts and i got that more while savescumming before chapter 3 in half the time - loading screens taken into account and needing more than 8 coins because it was debased instead of rare - i got more casts quicker and in an earlier part of the game without a high hunt requirement
one last thing: you're gonna want to do this in batches and having a 50 item requirement kinda slows this down - if you've got 8 flasks that's farming for like 5 hours - 8 50 item hits for filling the flasks then maxing out your items so 99 more - for 10 overall flask burns with the 100% exp food and stopping the grind and using the flasks and then refilling them
with debased and rare coins you could potentially have a lot more in between grinds - fill the 8 flasks with probably debased coins and eventually get near max of both of them with full flasks - except it's two item groups debased coins have like 2x as many fills so that's 8 already full and 4 refills - but the rare coins it's over 10 refills - making the most out of your break from grinding for materials and actually getting the exp in the most expedient manner (not necessarily 'faster' this idea really more about sort of less stopping to actually use the items repeatedly and getting more casts in per cycle)

I prefer wyvern farming. Double exp boost from altissa lasagna and use the hotel that gives 3x exp and get about 1+ an hour.
