Great video. I learned that I can cut roots, split them, and protect wounds with cinnamon!
I like the sign above the door "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all." ❤

    Great video! ❤
My husband bought this plant for my birthday in a 10-inch pot. We are waiting for its arrival from the grower. I wanted to watch how you separated it, in case I I have to separate it when it arrives.😊
You did a great job ❤ I don't know if I will be that courageous when the time comes for me to separate my plant. 😊❤

I use a Sawzall on mine. I completely cut back all the leaves to about four inches, pot up, water well- then wait. They are incredibly resilient when they want to grow in the Spring.

I broke a huge leaf accidentally on Tuesday. I planned on putting it in a vase, instead it sat in a water bottle. I knocked it over last night & realized it already has roots.
I should have tried this years ago.

Great video.. So many new plants.. I love to split mine as well! Doing it your I didn't miss a single plant.. It is important not to cover the shoots.. and a soft soil so the roots can grow

If you use a common hand held wood saw it will be a lot easier to cut through the roots.

It may have been easier to cut through it if you had used a sharp blade. I thought I was rough on my plants but geez😮...

Just cut mine up…but the babies all have very sagged floppy leaves which won’t stand up. Help

Water as normal. Let dry out in between waterings. Give it full sun. Don't worry about those leaves falling off as the new ones will come out healthy. It took mine many months to grow new and lost most of the old leaves. Now it is taking off. Give it time. Best of luck

You could cut off the old leaves entirely and the plant will recover just fine. Plants are incredible.

Dirt is what you drag onto the kitchen floor off of your shoes. Soil is what you grow in!
