Thank you for your advice helping older women. I turned 60 and everything changed. Everything skin and makeup related didn’t work anymore. I’m looking for all new products. I suffer with rosacea and have new skin textures and wrinkles and even crepeness. Your taking time to focus on changes to older lips helps me to understand what to do with my lips. Thank you.
This will sound strange but it happened to me. As we age our muscles become more lax. I found that I started drooling in my sleep and this never happened before. I always put a good layer of lip product and Vaseline on top. I still wake up with crusty lips that need attention. There are so many weird things that come with age that no one talks about. I enjoy your videos because you help us motr mature peeps ! ❤
I think this could be hormone related too because I also had that postpartum!!! During the postpartum period, there is a hormone called relaxin that is released. 🤔 I wonder if it’s all connected in some way.
Hi, @kellyburnett1833 I'm 61 and this has been happening to me, too. I'm post-menopausal, so I'm not sure if that's related. I keep tissues handy to dab the outer corners of my lips and also have lip balm on my nightstand.
My lips used to be super dry. I have been using dr. Sam's flawless lip (the non tinted version) for years. Absolute life saver. I use it during the day as a lip balm and at night as a mask. When i wake up, its still there. Even on nights when I drool a bit 😅
@@jeffalewis5917 Yup! There is an easy solution. Your lipstick is getting on your teeth because the inner rim of your mouth has pigment on it. Wrap a tissue around your finger and put it in your mouth and press down. That will blot the lipstick off the inner rim and keep it on all day.
I use Aquafor every night on my lips. I never have a problem with dry, cracked lips. Red is my favorite lip shade. I'm 64 and will continue to brighten my look with red lips!
Great tips, especially for dealing with dry lips - here to say, I finally figured out why my lips were chronically dry for years and years - whitening toothpaste! I now select my toothpaste carefully by reading ingredients-❤
My dermatologist (who is excellent) showed me an article about Vaseline and how great it is for the skin. I always use it on my lips at night. (Hand models have been using this for decades.) And a small amount before applying lipstick during the day. I also use it around my eyes if the skin is feeling dry and even for "slugging" on my face. But ONLY Vaseline brand petroleum jelly, due to the way it is made. FYI, he said it's also better for healing than those popular drugstore ointments (Neosporin and Polysporin) and I have to agree. It's all I use for these purposes. Thanks for the tips, Gabi. Keep on Glamming. :)
Vaseline has so many great benefits. Aquaphor has lanolin. So be careful if you’re allergic to wool. Ceravea is great as it’s Vaseline added with ceramides.
I love the City Lips Products. No matter what I use on my lip, my lipstick bleeds and nothing lasts. I’m 67 years old and no matter what liner or lipstick I use, this always happens. Thanks Gabi for all you do! Love your videos!💕🙋♀️😊🇨🇦
The Eadem lip balm is the best, but the clear version is superior!! I put on the clear and then just use a lipliner or put lipstick on top and it prevents the lipstick from bleeding. So good for aging lips. You have to get the clear! The color ones aren't as good. Clear with like a firm staying lipliner blend together so nicely. Like the new glossier lip liner is a good one to use with the clear balm and it makes like a nice smooth lipstick. Yes it exfoliates so well!!
I have just watched the video where you are not ok. I am 71 years old and have learned a lot about people. There will always be critical people. These people criticize everything and everyone. Because you are so beautiful you will always have people that are jealous of you!! I adore your eyebrows!! They are gorgeous and I envy them as I have never had thick eyebrows!! I hope that you will find peace in knowing that you help a lot of people feel good about themselves!! You are amazing!!
You are a darling Gabi!! I love how you care about mature women. Your information and explanations of products and usage is invaluable. Thank you so so much ❤❤❤
Thanks for another great video Gabi! Love the home recipe. Sugar is a great, non skin damaging, exfoliator. I make a sugar body scrub for the winter months, but will definitely be trying your recipe. Using a washcloth also helps to keep those lips exfoliated. I go over them every night when washing my face. I also keep coconut oil in my bathroom. Its great as a waterproof eye make up remover and for moisturizing lips 🙂
Perfect timing, I was going to ask you about thinning lips and lip vertigo lines. Thank you so much. All of your videos help me so much as a 66 year old lady. Rewatch mama of your videos often.
I can't tell you how much I love City Beauty Lip Plumper - as a night treatment! I can't find anything that even comes close. Without it my lips chap and dry up. Only downside is - it's not cheap at $35 a tube. Sigh. THANK YOU for the code - that will help a ton!
Thank you for some wonderful tips about taking care of the lips and making them look fuller and better. I am 70 and I certainly have thinner lips and had to change the lip colors I used. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and the videos. I look forward to trying some of the beautiful colors you showed. 🎀
Just a tip, it took time but I (finally) figured out that my skin, including lips, does not tolerate fragrance or flavor in products. The fragrance and flavor were causing the dryness of my lips. Now I just slather on copious amounts of vaseline before bed and during the day. No more dry lips. I'm a complete lipstick girly. My biggest struggle is that I have dark brown hair and pale skin so my lipsticks have to contrast enough or I look like death. Have never found a neutral or pink to suit. Personally, I don't mind reapplying lipstick.
Same here! I need at least medium, cool-toned lipsticks. I can't pull off a nude, but I love plums, berries, cool reds. I don't mind re-applying lip products, either. I use Carmex squeeze tube at night. I do have drooling at night, but that may be post-menopause related. I use Carmex off and on throughout the day if I'm not wearing lipstick or gloss. If I am wearing lip products, I'll use the stick version of Carmex. I know that's not for everyone, but it works for me.
@@karekausnicolli4890 Same. Berries, wines, deeper plums. As a "neutral" toned person, I struggle with reds. Most are too bright/not deep enough and blue reds look fuchsia and warm reds look orange. The closest I've come to a red (that is also fragrance free) is Revlon's Raisin Rage. My everyday is Revlon's Plumalicious, which I know looks lavender-ish online but is a lovely berry tone irl.
Instead of vaseline which is an oil byproduct try to find a natural tallow. I have found it reduces the redness of my rosacea. I use The Tallowed Truth’s S-Balm that has zinc in it. Works like a sunscreen without making my face red. I know they ship to the states too.
I'm a "light summer", blonde/blue so I find using a taupy-y neutral brow pencil works best for me as a lip liner (lightly touch!), then I fill in with a nude lip liner or lipstick or gloss. Great video, thanks!!
Yes it needs LOTS of hydration. If you apply a very hydrating oil or balm every night, you won’t even need to exfoliate. But if you are super dry and want a quick fix for an event or something else, that little DIY mask goes a long way. The coconut oil in it makes your lips so soft. Just be careful not to overdo it and create micro tears.

I have used lip balm daily for over 50 years. I always have something on my lips, as a result, my lips are the same as when I was young. I'm 65 now. I've been using e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip oil in Honey Talks since it came out. It's a pretty neutral shade that adds just a bit of color. For longer wear color I use Cover Girl Outlast All Day color in shade 110. The color stays put and I use the topcoat to keep my lips moist.
I instinctively used all of the tricks - except filling inner area of lips with crayon. Thank you for saying that my technics are right, and for sharing good products names with us.
I love your channel and the way you transform people. On the other hand I bought city lip plumper and threw it away immediately. It tingles ,stings, and burns. It's probably my own sensitive situation.
Avon's Anew make-up has a lip plumper that doesn't sting or tingle. You can get it in a neutral or coloured lipstick shade. I can't use the plumping glosses either because of sensitivity.
My lips used to be super dry. I have been using dr. Sam's flawless lip (the non tinted version) for years. Absolute life saver. I use it during the day as a lip balm and at night as a mask. When i wake up, its still there.

I loved this video, I learned so much I am someone that never wears lipstick as I have small thin lips so I was never interested in lip videos but this was a great video. I may try picking up a light colored lipstick and see how this goes. By the way the model in this video is such a pretty woman and her eyes are so beautiful!!
I’ve been using sugar and coconut oil as a full body exfoliation once a week for 40 years. I think it’s done something because I regularly get compliments on my skin. Especially on my legs.
Thank you for the promo code Gabi! I've been wanting to try the City Beauty products for a while now. The lip line filler one is what I really want to get!
You’re welcome! Hopefully this discount helps a little when making your purchase! We could all use some money off! I love it when they give me these codes because everyone gets so excited to stock up.
Hi Ms Gabi - could you do a video for the best non-feathering, non-drying lip liners for us older gals? I've wasted so much bank on products - cheap and expensive - that just DON'T work! Thanks again!
I use the City Lips Night Oil everynight! Definitely works wonders! I also use the City Beauty Line Therapy as well. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials!
I have City Lips on my lips literally 24 a day. I sleep in it and I wear it under and over lipstick. It’s the best lip moisturizer/conditioner I’ve ever used, I’m never without it.
Thanks Theresa! The products truly are fantastic. I’ve been using them on clients for years. I LOVE the plumping glosses. I wear them myself nearly everyday. I have ever single color. It’s very viscous so it doesn’t bleed and lasts for so long on the lips. It’s super sticky as a heads up though because I know that some people don’t always love that.
Lovely job as ALWAYS GABBI and GREAT tricks of the trade! Because you’re always so honest with your content, it’s so nice knowing that the products you back must be legit. TSM for sharing your sparkle ⭐️💖
Gabi thank you again for your fabulous videos So helpful for us mature ladies. You look absolutely beautiful and I love your earrings. Have a blessed day
I was literally going to ask a lipstick question on another video, and here is a new video on lips! 😉 I used to have nice lips when I was younger. Naturally full and symmetrical. Made the perfect lipstick pout!! Now the bottom is lopsided! How does that happen? I cannot fake what I once had! 😞
the natural aging process can lead to a loss of collagen and elasticity, resulting in sagging and uneven lips. Sleeping in a position that puts pressure on one side of the face can also contribute to lip unevenness.
I love these tips! I’ve been making my own sugar scrub for years (brown sugar and honey … I’m going to follow your lead and add in a bit of coconut oil! Thanks!) Also, I’ve had ‘bedtime lip gloss’ 4EVER! Can’t agree more on this one. ☺️ I’m off to check out those discount codes! Thank you, Gabi!! 🩷💄
All makes perfect sense, I wear a well known brand which makes 16hr long lasting lipsticks and they do really hold on for a very long time. Others after every drink or eating just wear off but it does make my lips feel very dry, is there such thing as a lip gloss that can help protect your any brand lipstick from transferring or smearing?
They really are so nice and they stay on the lips forever unlike a lot of glosses. I get hours and hours of wear off of it. It’s just a great product all around.
As always, another fabulous vid of tips for us older gals! I’d love to try City Beauty products, but can’t find them in London, Ontario, Canada. Are they available in 🇨🇦 or only online from the US?
Hi Gabi! I’m new to your channel (first saw you with all the creators in Austin!) and love you and your content! And the fact you’re a fellow Canadian!!! I’ve used the City lips Night Oil for quite some time and love it! Now I’ve got to get the Line Therapy! BTW - Love your hair style!
Thank you so much for this video Gabi. I have really been struggling with this lipstick issue in the past few months 🌹 I love your tips and will use them.
Hey Gabi, I'm a newer girl fan & the demographic for this video. I loved it & found it informative yet I'm still at a loss pairing the 'right' color lipliner with the 'right' lipstick & then a gloss on top. Can you swatch & link some of your favorite combos?
Hi Gabi--- Great video! I would appreciate if you can make your favorite matching lip color with lip liner per light , light medium, medium complexions.
To be honest, I don’t find Vaseline to be that hydrating. It lasts on my lips for all of 5 minutes before it’s gone. If you want a budget friendly option the blue medicated blistex is excellent too.
Oh my gosh that’s my favourite lipstick right now BY A LANDSLIDE. Isn’t it spectacular? It’s the perfect natural flushed red color and the packaging is insanely gorgeous.

I love the night oil! Thanks for watching - I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I have City Lips on my lips literally 24 a day. I sleep in it and I wear it under and over lipstick. It’s the best lip moisturizer/conditioner I’ve ever used, I’m never without it.
Thank you for these awesome tips and can't wait to try City Beauty products.🌹
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate you!
Gabi thank you again for your fabulous videos So helpful for us mature ladies. You look absolutely beautiful and I love your earrings. Have a blessed day
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you watching 🫶👄 These comments mean so much to me.
This hair style is looking gorgeous on you
I love to use Mary Kay's lip primer. It keeps my lip color from bleeding and keeps my color on for a long time.
Thanks for sharing! I haven't heard Mary Kay mentioned in a while.
Dicas incríveis! Simplesmente amei, vou fazer isso na minha mãe! Obrigada pelo vídeo!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The City Beauty lip products are wonderful. I use all 3 of the products you referenced and I love them. 🙂❤️
I love the beautiful plum shade of your nail polish! Perfect for fall! Can you tell me the name of the brand and colour?
City Lips glosses are the bomb! Nice plumping action but not a horrible sting like some plumpers on the market. Thanks for the code! 💋
They really are so nice and they stay on the lips forever unlike a lot of glosses. I get hours and hours of wear off of it. It’s just a great product all around.
Love the colors you used! Can I ask what nail poloish you are wearing?
As always, another fabulous vid of tips for us older gals! I’d love to try City Beauty products, but can’t find them in London, Ontario, Canada. Are they available in 🇨🇦 or only online from the US?
You made your model’s lips look amazing!!
Thank you so much 🙂
Thank you and welcome to the channel fellow Canadian!
@@GlamGirlGabi Thx Gabi!
Draga Gabi, kao i uvijek naučim nešto novo a tvoj video me uvijek oraspoloži i potakne želju da probam nešto drugačije i novo❤❤❤❤
Jelena that means so much to me 🥹 Thank you for being here 🫶
Thank you so much for this video Gabi. I have really been struggling with this lipstick issue in the past few months 🌹 I love your tips and will use them.
I hope it's helpful!
@@GlamGirlGabi Very!!!!!
ALWAYS line your lips girls….I’m 76 and this video is fantastic for us older ladies…go light ladies…
Do you use a liner that does not dry out your lips?
Looking for one
Great idea
My lips are saying Thank You!! Have a great week!❤
You are so welcome! 💋 👄
Gabi, great video! What is your lip combo here? It is gorgeous! So bronze and shiny!
Merci Gabi, je prends soin de mes lèvres exfoliation etc...tous les soirs avant d'aller dormir une huile à lèvre, j'adore. Merci pour cette vidéo🤩
Thanks for watching Audrey!
Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream is the best. Every night. I know I know but it’s the best. No more dry or crusty lips 😊
Hey Gabi, I'm a newer girl fan & the demographic for this video. I loved it & found it informative yet I'm still at a loss pairing the 'right' color lipliner with the 'right' lipstick & then a gloss on top. Can you swatch & link some of your favorite combos?
I’ll make a video about this! I know it’s a very common question. I’ll get several models with different skin tones in to demonstrate. :)
@@GlamGirlGabi Oooh I'm so excited! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
This was a great tip video. I love City Lips too!
I love all your videos! You have so much great advice and thank you for your recipe for your lip scrub!
Absolutely love the make-up you are wearing, where would I find a list of what you have on please? 😊
This channel is so darn refreshing!
I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos! Thank you for the support.
Hi Gabi--- Great video! I would appreciate if you can make your favorite matching lip color with lip liner per light , light medium, medium complexions.
Great tips, but can you tell me what lipstick you used
Looks fabulous! ❤
Thank you Gabby. Love the tips❤
Great tips! Can you do a dupe video for you favorite City Beauty products? They're way out of my budget 😕
Love this tutorial! Your model is gorgeous ❤
Gabi, this is nonna’s tip and I would like to ask you if vaseline really works for lips and feet. Do they?
To be honest, I don’t find Vaseline to be that hydrating. It lasts on my lips for all of 5 minutes before it’s gone. If you want a budget friendly option the blue medicated blistex is excellent too.
Thank you for this helpful video. Which lipliner shade listed is the color that you used to fill in her entire lip? I would like to order it.
I use the City Beauty Lip Oil every single night, without fail❤
Isn’t it so nice?
Hi Gabi, what is the color on your nails and by who? It looks so fall-ish!
I’m not sure because I get them done in salon! I just let them chose whatever they want because I’m not picky at all with my nails lol 😝
Question? Love the idea of filling in my lips with a lipliner! But i have not found one that doesn’t dry them out.
Suggestions please 🎉
OMG Gabi!!!! I loooove you!!!! sneezing on camera!!!!!
LOL! Keeping it real over here 😂
Love this video 60 Kiwi here so really enjoy when you look after Us Older Gals ❤❤❤
What nail polish are you wearing, it looks lovely
Thanks for all these hacks and for the past ones of makeup I just got the Gucci Mildred one and awesome ❤
Oh my gosh that’s my favourite lipstick right now BY A LANDSLIDE. Isn’t it spectacular? It’s the perfect natural flushed red color and the packaging is insanely gorgeous.
I need to say thank you! I got the city lips oil & OMG!! ❤️😘
You're welcome! I'm so glad you love it!
The model is stunning, as are you🌸🌸
Thanks so much for this information 😊
I love maybelline's pink popper for my older lips...has a lovely sheen without needing lip gloss
Thanks for the Awesome Tips 👌 👏 👍
For ladies who prefer a darker lip color, a gloss added on top can brighten the look enough to make it work.
Very informative, thank you!
