🐸 yes, please do a video on blush tones and especially on mature skin. I’m 70 and very fair cool-skinned and almost every blush is too LOUD or orange😂 . Mature women of every hue are ignored by most companies because of what I see in IRL. 😢 Go for it, Gabi🎉🎉
@@karenhecht2342Knowing your season and warm or cool undertoned is so important for make up choices and clothes, to look and feel our best. Thankfully, this is not too difficult, because you already know what colours look good on you. Do you look better in peach tones or baby pink? Peach is warm (yellow undertone) and pink (blue undertone) is cool. So there is your tone. Summer and winter are cool toned, spring and fall are warm. Do you look better in pastels, mid toned or darker shades? This will help determine your season. I believe there are free sites to have a colour analysis done. Once you know what are the best shades to wear, you will always look fabulous! 😊
There are plenty of options out there, but it sounds like you are choosing the wrong ones. If orange doesn't look good on you, you probably need a cooler tone and should be looking more in the pink shades.
I feel like there is not enough content aimed to help you guys. I really want everyone to have the skills to feel better about themselves. Thanks for watching.
Yes to a video on blushes! I think that would be very helpful. I’m 64 years young and I decided to try the Kosas blush holiday gift set. Love those blushes! Three beautiful shade and they look beautiful on the skin.
I am 54 and post-menopause and find the liquid blushes by Hourglass to be divine. They are more pricey but a little goes a long way and it’ll last for a while. I would love a video on various blushes. Also, skin does dry out as you mature. I was shocked at how less oily I am after going through menopause, as I’ve always been in and out of Dermatologist offices to treat my oily skin- acne skin. So anyone trying to say women’s skin doesn’t dry out over time is fooling themselves - it’s just the hot flashes causing deception 😂
Thank you for such an awesome suggestion! I haven’t tried those but I’ll pick them up when I go to Sephora next! And yes about the skin drying out 👏🏽 thank you!!! I can’t tell you how many irritated comments I get about that. It is not that I think everyone’s skin gets dry but for most people it gets dryer. It’s simply a fact.
Yes!!! Please make a video on blush shades!!! Also- thank you- as a mature woman in her 60’s… I still love makeup (my 84 year old mother does too!!!)- Thank you for consistently putting out excellent videos for the mature woman on how to wear makeup so it enhances - not detracts!!!
Your videos are so helpful for us mature women and yours are some of the best I’ve found on RUclips. Your presentations are thorough without going overboard on any one product. I appreciate your presenting all price points as well. Please keep them coming. I’m a new follower and already a BIG fan!
Yes, please do a video on blush tones and especially for fair, mature, cool skin. I'm almost 62, and my skin changed overnight!!! Nothing seems to work!!!
I have been placing my blush higher up for a while now. Really makes a difference.😊 I also only use cream blush which I find also makes a big difference.
Beautiful model and really great tips that I have taken to heart. In fact, I ordered the Rephyr 105 brush through your link! You look great, Gabi! I like the way you styled your hair.
@@pennywynare you the model in this video?? At first glance at the thumbnail pictures, I thought it was Princess Catherine. You could be her older sister. Beautiful!
Absolutely agree with your placement. Some brands I like: Westman Atelier stick, Makeup by Mario stick, Hourglass liquid. Gucci powder blush really melds with the skin instead of looking like it's just sitting on top of the skin.
Laura Geller also has Cream Blush in stick form that goes on soft and you can add more if you want more color payoff. They are soft watercolor blushes!! Lovely!!
This was very helpful, thank you! I used to forego blush altogether when I was younger because I have freckles and a natural flush to my cheeks. But while the freckles are still there, that flush is gone and I struggle to find the correct placement for the blush. So again, thank you for these super helpful tips! I would also love a video on blush tones, that's a great idea!
Yes, please do a video on your favorite blushes. You mentioned options for warm and cool undertones in blushes. What would you recommend for a neutral undertone?
Thank you for this! Tried it today and it works perfectly. I have a spot on the top of my cheekbone that is wrinkled (smile lines😊) and I try to put blush around it instead of on it. Applied it today on wrinkles and all and it looked great. Thanks Gabi!
Thank you Gabi. I agree on placing blush higher but sometimes I like a hint of blush on my the front of my cheeks and bridge of nose to look like I was in sun.
I love, love, love the Laura Geller serum blushes and I’ve never seen them on anyone’s channel. I also love the Merit flush balms. I haven’t tried the Armani ones yet…
Thankyou for this. I’m a mature woman trying to figure this all out. I’m having trouble figuring out my undertone. I think I’m a neutral olive. I need your help with blush tones please 🙏🏻. Loved this video on placement as I struggle with that as well.
Love the tips! I just turned 60 and it's just crazy how I've had to change my makeup and skincare the past few years. One stick/cream blush I absolutely love is Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks. I have the shades Petal and Chouchette. Sometimes I wear them together and other times I wear just one. I also can't say enough about the brush I use by BK Beauty. I use the small angled face brush and it is just perfect for applying the blush in the correct area for my smaller face.
I've started a new series where I'm talking about the best colors for different combinations (Brown eyes, medium skin tone and brown hair) Here's the first one: ruclips.net/video/vAvEIHlXIwU/видео.html and you can leave a comment if there's a specific combo you want me to create a video for!
Obrigada Gabi é srmpre confuso adaptar as técnicas para a nossa realidade de pele madura . Amei a dica dos pincéis ❤ . Continue por favor nós agradecemos ❤
Yes I would love a detailed video on blush. also do you have a video on how to apply shadows to very hooded eyes, I get botox for migranes every 3 months, sometimes my eyes become extremly hooded for a few weeks. Also the easyest way to know under tone. It is extremely difficult for me. Love your videos Gabi. God bless
Oh thank you so much for this video 😊I’ve been having so much trouble with blush😊I have wrinkles and dry skin 😊been trying to apply powder and cream blushes, but it doesn’t look very good at all 😢you really can see my wrinkles on my face 😢i use moisturizer and a primer before I use the blush 😊I got frustrated so I quit trying😢thanks again Gabi for your help 😊
Yes please. I’m 53 and I just cut my long hair into a pixie cut(cut off all the color treated blond) to expose my silver light gray hair. I have blue eyes, fair skin, and great cheek bones(lol)and.. what I think is the best complexion around, my rosy pink cheeks, and when having a hot flash, unflattering red cheeks. I love watching your videos and love all your tips and tricks. Thank you so much
Yes...I would love a blush video! I can't figure out if I'm warm or cool! I watched your video about skin tone...but still having an issue. I have medium brown hair, lighter skin, my vieins are blue and green, and sometimes purple!🤔 I love sliver jewelry...no gold. I think I gravitate towards cool or neutral colors. The blush I currently wear is a powder bubblegum pink (don't know what brand because the writing is worn off...has to be 25 or more years old) it's the only makeup product that I haven't updated... although I did buy a Bayfree Highlighting Balm that i sometimes wear on top of it!
I use the One Size gel liner on my lower lash line. I don’t put it near my waterline, and it stays put all day. It fades a little, but not much. Even if I occasionally use it on my waterline, it stays put for hours. It also doesn’t bleed onto my lash line or smudge everywhere.
This is such a helpful video Gabi! I’d love to see a video on different brands and colors of blush for mature skin. A question I have is should we be putting a powder blush over our cream blush?
Sounds good! I’ll make that soon! As for the powder - layering blushes like that make them last longe but use very thin layers so that you don’t risk things looking patchy.
