Girl! I'm only 37, and my skin is rapidly changing! It's very frustrating! I have, more foundations than I need (We'll just leave it at that!), and my skin is changing so much that I'm having to adapt to that! I don't want to throw them away, but I would like to know how to adapt more to them. Great idea for a video. You and Marlena are the queens at these videos. I really appreciate them. They are realistic.
If too oily, I'd try a make-up sponge so it's a lighter coverage and a light dusting of powder. If too dry, add some moisturiser into the pump of foundation. If that doesn't work, maybe take a couple of your foundations into your local drugstore/chemist/beauty salon, and ask if they will use your products for a makeover, if it costs you, with a store credit, then maybe buy some items you don't have that they recommend for your skintype. (My youth was real addiction...... I'm 71, so I grew up with only magazines to "tell" me what makeup I should have, and WOW, did I spend the money between 16 and say, 50!! I had SO much make up, just because I bought into the advertising, and MOST of the time, the things didn't work for me. And NONE of the advertising addressed the all important skin care and skin prep!!!! And we didn't have you back then trying things out for us, so that each of us could see whether or not something made sense for us individually. You are a treasure!) Your model here is beautiful and her makeup came out like we would all like! I'm definitely going to get a mixing palette! Yes, please, on the powder review/tutorial! Can't wait!
Very much appreciated. I would love you forever and ever and ever if you would do a in-depth tutorial with a model with very hooded eyes. It seems like every tutorial I see, the person is using a model, or themselves, with absolutely not hooded eyes, which doesn’t work remotely the same. Also, not necessarily age related hooded eyes. I have had them since the day I was born. Plus I have a weirdly dry skin. No matter what I do, it seems foundation finds these patches of dry skin I didn’t even know I had, and clings to them. I can’t seem to get my foundation to lay smoothly no matter what I do.
@ ❤️❤️ yes, hooded eyes seems to be difficult to find good tutorials for. I have one eye that is also puffier than the other, because of illness also. If I put any eye makeup on my actual eyelid, it completely vanishes. It also seems like eyeliner makes a mark on the top of my eyelid, because when I open my eyes it sticks to the fold, if you understand my meaning. Trying to do any eyeshadow or eyeliner with a really hooded eye is so frustrating. I have spent hours with liquid eyeliner, pencil, pen, using the tape trick, trying to get a clean line from the edge of my eye for the cat eye look. Impossible.
I’m the same However what is really annoying for me is I have one eyelid that is hooded the other is not! It wouldn’t be do bad if both eyelids were the same but unfortunately lol I look a bit wonky because it’s only the one eyelid causing this problem. Finally someone who mention 1 or 2 foundations! Estee Lauder is the max for years and indeed you can mixed it and it stays all day. I am in menopause and it's helps to stay my make up on with the hot flashes :)
I am 65 and go to a lot of events. This was very useful regarding cancelling redness which I have on my cheeks and around the nose. I have just started using setting spray and it does wonders. Yesterday I was at an event in 37 degree Celsius heat; my makeup held up incredibly well.

First up, your model is so beautiful, with and without the flawless foundation. Wonderful advise, I'm 47 and have to complete change up my foundation routine - love mixing foundations - L'Oréal true match serum is a great base for this!

Great in depth tutorial Gabi! It was through one of your other videos I discovered Rephr & hands down best eye brushes I’ve ever owned. I have rosacea & sensitive skin so I have to be so careful what skin products & makeup I use. For my skin prep I use Garnier Hyaluronic Acid Replumping Serum all over, followed by Ponds Hydronourishing cream or the Garnier Hyaluronic Aloe Daily Nourishing Cream. I use an eye cream & an SPF. However no matter how much moisturiser & serums I use certain areas on the bridge of my nose & the sides of my nose goes all dry, patchy. (This is without applying loose powder). It’s a shame as the rest of my skin looks really well with an airbrushed effect but these small areas just ruin it. I use the L’Oréal BB Cream which has 24 hr hydration but despite using this & all of the above skin care it still shows up skin texture & dry patches. It’s so frustrating as this BB liquid cream isn’t even as heavy as a foundation product. Is there something I’m doing wrong or not using? Many thanks xx

Wonderful video! 😍 Such a beautiful model❤ Do you ever use only foundation, no concealer? I find concealers to be THE hardest to pull off. Something about the denseness just doesn’t look good on me in daylight🧐🤓A good foundation works muuucho mucho better for me, even under the eyes. I also have a color adapting undereye cream (like a bb cream but specifically for under the eyes)❤❤❤❤

Powder for mature skin would be so helpful. I don’t have super dry skin, but I do have dry under eyes. My biggest problem is the hot flashes…out of nowhere, my face gets sweaty and my makeup all starts to melt and slide. I also live in AZ and just walking outside most of the year can cause the same problem. Any tips and tricks are always appreciated 💜

Same here. Due to Graves Disease I have extremely puffy and hooded eyes. No visible lid showing. Would love a video like that!
