It looks like you didn’t use concealer under the eyes. What I noticed with this instant firming eye gel is that the concealer gets all weird and stipples and doesn’t look right.
It doesn't exist. I have horrible eyebags and I'm 65. I've been trying to hide my bags with makeup by watching dozens of tutorials and it just isn't possible. The PTR seems expensive and I use it everyday but you use less than a pea size amount on each eyebag. This product lasts me almost a year so it's not it's nothing as expensive as it seems.
I tried it and it felt and looked like I had a thin layer of hair spray under my eyes. Idk if it’s just video or if Gabi has a secret technique that makes this product undetectable in real life, but I returned mine. No matter how thin I put it and what tool I used, it turned white and flakey.
@@lauraweisit lasts forever, you need the tiniest amount. I’ve had the same tube for about a year and there is still a lot left. And you’re right there really isn’t a cover up that works.
I love when MUA actually uses a model to demonstrate how to use products on certain types of skin or features, like mature skin, hooded eyes. Your model looks stunning, the pink definitely brightened her face, just beautiful 😍😍😍
Hi Gabi! I swear you live in my bathroom and hear my exclamations about my face!! That PTR Instant eye tightener was amazing! (As were ALL these wonderfully affordable drug store products. I have never heard of Marcelle!) My undereye bags are accompanied by undereye discoloration (dark circles), so your advice about using the tightener & not moving other things over it is priceless! I used one of those tighteners, then applied a concealer, then makeup, and BAM! Gone! Here's what I'm going to do based on your tutorial....I will get the PTR eye tightener and apply over well prepped face, then when it's dry, I think I will apply my Pur Minerals 4-in-1 foundation to the discoloration, and see how my "problem luggage" look then! Thank you for investing in these products & teaching us! You're a wonderful tutor, and an inspiration! And thank you for addressing issues for us "older" girls! Love, love, love!
I love Marcelle products! No one ever talks about them, so I'm glad you brought up a couple! Yay! Did you use mascara? Did I miss it? Lovely look! You're so skilled, and your model is beautiful, even before the makeup🙏❤️
Love what you did for her! You are the BEST Make-up artist, because you're ALWAYS ahead of everyone else that thinks they know what they're doing. This was a very beautiful and natural look for mature skin.🥰
Wow that’s such a sweet comment. Thank you for saying that. As an artist I’m extremely self critical of my work and comments like this truly mean so much.
Your model looks natural and beautiful, Gabi! I actually bought the Peter Thomas Ross product some time ago and put it away because I had a terrible time concealing on top of it. I noticed that you didn´t use any concealer on your model. I´ve read many comments stating that you can´t use any other products on top of the Peter Thomas Ross eye cream without disrupting the effect. What would you recommend if you have discoloration?
Westmore Beauty 60 Second Eye Effects is a creamy, tinted product I use. Works like PTR but not as drying. I have actually used over concealer with success.
@@tesspup1434I use the westmore product as well and it works much better than Peter Roth. You can put a creamy color corrector or concealer over it. I use it when my eyes are super puffy and it works super well. The key is to use very little product.
Thank you for making a detailed video and introducing us to some fab drugstore products. I already have a list of things ready that I am going to pick up soon!
Ok I just signed up to your mailing list, yahoo!!! I love that you have your fav products there for us to view. I am always trying to find which utube you did this and that on for a particular product, now it is all in one place! ❤ Thank u
Thank you Gabi for this video which really helped me. I've been struggling with Thomas Roth product for a year and more, but now that I saw you use a brush to apply it made a big help and different for me, I just didn't see which brush you use for application?Could you please let us know .Thank you so much ❤
When I have eye bags, I find that a caffeine eye gel orcream used with a solawave or clarisonic with head for under eye helps to move the puffiness out and away and that the under eye products get absorbed better also.
Great video! I discovered Peter Roth’s cream thanks to your last video and it really works!! I loved it! Though I don’t know if you can apply it on a regular basis…
I like the NYX Pro Fix Stick Correcting Concealer. They are creamy and easy to apply, a small size so nuce for your purse and travel. I have the yellow, peach, fair and brightener pink. I have fair skin and the pink is my favorite. If you put too much on they can crease in the face lines but they pat back into place easily. Nice to have for later in the day touch ups. Great price point. I got mine at Target.
She looks wonderful Gabi. I've tried the PTR so many times and just cannot make it work. My issues are much worse and I'm sure that's why it just doesn't work for me 🙁. Patti
Great Video, Gabi! Just one question: are we able to apply CONCEALER on TOP of the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye Temp. Eye Tightener WITHOUT it pilling? This is a major problem with certain eye creams.
Wondering this as well. Have read reviews that you can't. Gabi, have you tried other temporary skin firming products?. would love to see a comparison video.
I discovered those new Nyx concealer sticks a while ago and I absolutely love them. Great Video and very helpful, you explain the techniques very well 😊
What a great product for puffy under-eyes! I struggle with this and have not found anything good to conceal or deal. Can’t wait to try PTR product! Also the other tips are sooo helpful. Thank you as always!
Hi Gabi, Love You! Do you have any recommendations on eye makeup for those who wear glasses. I feel that my eyes can just disappear when I put my glasses on. Any certain frame style that would work best?
Thanks Gabi! Always learn so much for you, I’m hoping to try this temporary eye fix for my aunty. I’m wondering how it would perform on the neck… like on your beautiful model, the thin sagging skin where you are contouring, the eye film might be a good solution for that area as well!
Really beautiful video. I like to underpaint with contour a vertical line from the jaw angle up to the ear. It squares off the face and gives a more angular look to an aging face.
LOVE that you used PTR around the eyes. Im still practicing with the primers (face and eye) that say you can use under makeup. I just haven't done a full-blown makeup application yet to report how everything went. I will though! 😊❤😊❤
Great video, I got the Peter Thomas Roth product a few weeks ago, still playing with it, so your application technique was helpful. I'm up for trying to duplicate your techniques. C.
Thank you, thank you so much! This was absolutely brilliant and you give advice with the technical reasons behind it all. If you know why you're doing it, it matters so much. And in yourself, you are simply great. I'm a real fan. Fabulous, merci ! ♥
Congratulation for the amazing results, I like how you teach us on how to elevate our make up skills. I really like your own makeup lately, would happy to see a video on the tools you are using for your own makeup.
Can you also do a tutorial targeting under eye puffiness and how to conceal them please? I use a roller, serums, cool small balls with handles that I gently roll over the under eyes and cooled eye gel patches. I’m trying but really need your expertise! Thank you 🙏
I was sooo excited to watch this video, as I have the undereye bag product too. I am so impressed with it. BUT there is no way to conceal discoloration when you use this product for puffiness. You didn't put anything over her eye treatment. What is recommended for people like me who have puffiness AND dark circles/discoloration?
Great video Gabi! I have had eye bags since I was in my 20's, I guess it is hereditary. I started using serious skincare instatox in my 20's (I am turning 66 soon) and have used that every day for over 30 years but was starting to sometimes struggle with it. I tried the Peter Thomas Roth newish firmx face PRIMER and WOW game changer. It works really well under the eyes, just do not put any makeup over it, skip that area when doing foundation and no concealer. It has a bit of a tint. You have to work with them (I use a blow dryer to set it) but to me the end result is worth it and for me it lasts ALL day from morning until I go to bed. I have also tried his firmx face tightener (you only need a pin size amount on all of them, the less the better) which I prefer over the eye tightener. So maybe give those a try too, they are a daily must have for me. xoxo LOVE you!!
I have samples of the Peter Thomas Roth instant firm eye fix & the instant firm no filter primer & I think I like the primer better than the other one. I always have residue under my eyes and I think that I'm using too much of it. But I saw you use it with a brush. I Only use it with my finger. I'm going to try it the way you did it 💜 thanks for the tips!
Gabi she is so stunning. I was told by a makeup artist at Ulta that the Peter Rhomas Roth firm x doesn’t play well with other products? Is that true? ❤
I will be trying the Peter Roth fix me upper lol! Just a few questions….do it makes the fine lines look worse after a couple of hours/does it “crack”? Also if you have wrinkly skin on your eye lids, can you still use a cream eye shadow? I am now somewhat struggling with powder eye shadow for the base of my eyes.(aging sucks). Your tutorials for us mature gals is just fabulous! Thank you !
Wow! The eye firmer is amazing. I wonder about using color corrector/concealer over it?? Your model has amazing skin. I thought that she was already wearing foundation. Lol!
When I was at The Malibu Sephora, one of the girls working there told me to buy Peter Thomas to smooth out my vertical lines directly under my eyebrows....MAGIC
1970s girl here! Preparation H… Yes, the hemorrhoid cream that you find in your local drugstore😮 How preparation H works? Is it shrinks the tissue which is the start of a hemorrhoid? Is that puffy tissue… Tap some preparation age on your under eye bags, and WATCH THEM SHRINK 😱 YUP WE HAD TO BE CREATIVE BACK THEN WHEN EYE CREAMS DID NOT EXIST. To get our rockhard eyeliners back in the day, we used to light the tip with a lighter and literally melt it ! Works great, except if it’s too hot and then you burn your eye😮… back then we had to work with what we had🤷♀️
Preparation H was reformulated for US in 1995 and ingredients vary in different countries. Hard to know whether the new formula works. Phenylephrine, hydrocortisone? Yeast extract (main ingredient removed)was apparently the wrinkle remover... need to know the ingredients to look for.
Love your braid! Model looks very pretty! PTR always flaked on me and I have dark circles so no way to put concealer on top of it, just made things worse.
I love the way the PTR product works on the model! I have tried repeatedly to use his product, and no matter how much time I spend, and how little I use, I always seem to get the same result: flaking. And because you can’t use products over it, that seems to defeat the purpose.I really want this to work! I brushed it on and use my finger and I still end up with flaking.
Please do a video on how to figure out your skin undertones, especially with Rosacea adding in so much redness! I've heard I could try a warmer, golden color to counteract? Hmmm? Help please 😅😅
Hi Gabi, I have been meaning to ask/suggest a video you could perhaps do for us? Would you teach us about what best techniques and what to keep in mind for make up for videos for mature women. I am starting (and many women over 50 taking the same course on digital courses) to record videos, mostly will be done live. And since that is what you do, we could learn lots from you! It would be like a Meta class - the make up to do when on video. I look forward to learning from you! Thank you so much, Isabela 🙏🏼
I love PTR products and I’m so glad you did the Elf contouring I just bought it ❤love all of your videos- are there certain hairstyles for women who don’t like their neck/ jawline, I could see camouflaging it with longer hair, or shorter to bring eye up, Thank you Gabi❤Also- I am looking for a makeup mirror with adjustable lighting for daylight with a 10x zoom any suggestions?
What a great video! Thanks Gabi! OH MY GOSH... you look beautiful in that blouse it is gorgeous! The colors are SO vibrant just making your beautiful face POP even more if possible! Will be giving the Thomas Roth a try and hitting Shopper's tomorrow!! LOL!!😍 PS... looking forward to the emails!!
Hi Gabi- always look forward to your videos- I have a question regarding the Peter Thomas Roth product you are using in this video. I feel lucky at my age that I do not have to deal with under eye bags however, Im intrigued at what other issues it could help with. What are your thoughts if I were to apply it to my '11 lines' or my smile lines?
I use it everyday. There is a learning curve to using it. Sometimes I still put on too much and then suffer from a white cast. If I don't use enough the result isn't there and I still have a slight bag. I've tried adding concealer and that also is trial and error. In addition, because I use it everyday, I do belive my eye area has more wrinkles than it used to. But if I use it everyday, you know you can have impressive results.
I kind of gave up on it, it would look good for 10 minutes and then it would crease or crack. And I did get skin irritation a couple times. I think it just depends on the person. Some people have a great results with that, but I think most have a rough time.
I have tried repeatedly to use it and no matter how little product I use and how careful I apply it, I always end up with flakes. And because you can’t use concealer or foundation over it, it does t work for me.
Strivectin also makes a product like the PTR called hyperlift eye that can be used over other products unlike PTR. It’s also expensive but Costco (once a year it seems) has it packaged at a 2 for 1 price. Also when Amazon does prime days, I always check the PTR one because sometimes it’s discounted then.
I have tried similar , very good brands here in Europe and recognise all these comments so will not be trying this😢 I also could not get on with any of them. Felt very uncomfortable and did not look all that great even if helped a bit with the bags. Diffcult indeed to put concealer on top. Very frustrating!
Can you use the roth tightener if you have the joy of having both puffinesd and very dark circkes? I know you were careful not to put blush on it. Thanks!
Hi Gabi! Can you please explain why you used a beauty blender to blend in the Elf Halo Glow Contour Wand versus using a BK brush like the 106 or N17? I totally get the stipple, just curious about the sponge application. Thanks ❤
another amazing transformation video !~ My Bestie and I would love to see you do a full makeover similar to this on a 55+ woman with very dark brunette hair and blue eyes, with light/medium neutral undertone to the skin, with some fine lines wrinkles and skin discoloration like from natural freckles, as well as from typical skin issues this age range like melasma, hyperpigmentation, and a makeover on the same age range woman who has super dark African American Skin with a reddish undertone and who has black hair and gold eyes. Each of us has never seen a makeover on either description since we each have been told we both are atypical as far as our hair color, skin color and eye color combinations. We usually see make up tutorials on Medium to olive skin tone women who have green or brown or black eye color, and brown hair, or on African American Women who have very light skin coloring, perfect, no lines, wrinkles, and again brown or black eye colors. ~Thank You!
She looks amazing. But wow, you applied so many different products... That would take me 30-60 minutes to put on, and it still would not look anywhere near as good since I am not a professional. And I totally appreciate you using OTC products, but the total price of all of that? A lot for someone on a strict budget. You may have a video out there on using only 3 or 4 products, I'll have to take a look. But for someone like me, a 59 year old woman working full time, caring for an invalid husband and a daughter with multiple health problems, I need super simple and very quick routines that do help give me some confidence in disguising a bit of the exhaustion that shows up on my face. What 3-4 things would you say would help the most? Obviously the puffy eye reducer, that was super! And mascara, a must for fading lashes, and lipliner used for lining and color fill for fading lip lines. But what could work to even out face tone the best, if you could only use one thing? Would this cc cream with sunscreen work best, or a tinted sunscreen, or just spot application of a color corrector? If you had to pick just one thing for the face, what would it be? Thanks for your videos, I do love watching them.
Thank you very much for this Gabi - I'm 68 and find a lot of tips don't work for me because my skin isn't as smooth and supple as it was when I was younger so it's always nice to see older models. But the biggest problem I have is colour matching to my skin - I've bought so many products that haven't looked right when I get them home, especially foundation and concealer. My skin is paler now because I stay out of the sun but my hair is still dark brown so sometimes I look like a wraith 😄 Sometimes with my blusher and bronzer I look like a made-up wraith 😄Can you sugggest any of your videos that may help with matching skin and makeup colouring please?
I has helped me to know my undertone. If the veins on your inner wrist appear greenish, you might have warm undertones. If they seem kind of blue or purple, you might have cool undertones. If the veins have none of these colors, you might have a neutral undertone.
@@Lu_Minary Thanks for that. I've read this before, and sadly my veins seem to be all colours 😆I've even had an argument with a friend about whether some were blue or green, and we couldn't agree on hers either. It should be easier when you're older and your veins are more prominent, shouldn't it???

I always have residue under my eyes and I think that I'm using too much of it. But I saw you use it with a brush. I Only use it with my finger. I'm going to try it the way you did it 💜 thanks for the tips!
I’ve used the PTR product before. It is amazing!
Gabi she is so stunning. I was told by a makeup artist at Ulta that the Peter Rhomas Roth firm x doesn’t play well with other products? Is that true? ❤
Great tips. Can you apply makeup over the Peter Thomas roth cream?
Lol!
Thanks for sharing this. You're just so talented & beautiful & relatable.
I appreciate you so, so much !
Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot to me!
When I was at The Malibu Sephora, one of the girls working there told me to buy Peter Thomas to smooth out my vertical lines directly under my eyebrows....MAGIC
I love your blouse. You always look so put together! I wish I can do it as good as you! Where do you shop for clothe?
Honestly I'm not old, but I love this video ❤
1970s girl here!
Preparation H… Yes, the hemorrhoid cream that you find in your local drugstore😮
How preparation H works? Is it shrinks the tissue which is the start of a hemorrhoid? Is that puffy tissue…
Tap some preparation age on your under eye bags, and WATCH THEM SHRINK 😱
YUP WE HAD TO BE CREATIVE BACK THEN WHEN EYE CREAMS DID NOT EXIST.
@@kbaz6658I used it from 2000-2005.
Love your braid! Model looks very pretty! PTR always flaked on me and I have dark circles so no way to put concealer on top of it, just made things worse.
I am so glad you liked the braid! 😊 PTR can be tricky for sure. I've got another video coming soon that will talk about some other under eye tricks!
Your hair braid is 🔥. I ❤ it
What a beautiful job! She looks lovely!!
I am so happy you enjoyed the look!
Best makeup demo I have seen on utube
Your Shirt is GORGEOUS these colors on you are devive ❤
Hi Gabi, you look so beautiful. This is the real Glam Gabi. ❤❤❤
So, I was going to buy this off of Amazon quite some time ago but there were a lot of negative reviews about skin irritation. Any insights into that?
Great video!! With the NYX correctin concealer stick what color did you use?
Can you use the roth tightener if you have the joy of having both puffinesd and very dark circkes? I know you were careful not to put blush on it. Thanks!
Hi Gabi! Can you please explain why you used a beauty blender to blend in the Elf Halo Glow Contour Wand versus using a BK brush like the 106 or N17? I totally get the stipple, just curious about the sponge application. Thanks ❤
Did you add moisturizer under eyes before Peter Thomas Roth?
Great video Gabi! I'm going to try the Marcelle lip liner for sure. Ps thank you for always including the Canadian Links ❤😁🍁🇨🇦
I have to take care of my Canadian sisters!! ❤️
Your model looks gorgeous!💕🌸
She really is so lovely, right?
another amazing transformation video !~ My Bestie and I would love to see you do a full makeover similar to this on a 55+ woman with very dark brunette hair and blue eyes, with light/medium neutral undertone to the skin, with some fine lines wrinkles and skin discoloration like from natural freckles, as well as from typical skin issues this age range like melasma, hyperpigmentation,
and a makeover on the same age range woman who has super dark African American Skin with a reddish undertone and who has black hair and gold eyes.
Gabi, you're so inspiring!!
Same boat as you 😊
Bra for your under eyes lol😅 can I put it under my boobies for lift I sure need that at my age lol 😅 love your videos you make my day 😊
I has helped me to know my undertone. If the veins on your inner wrist appear greenish, you might have warm undertones. If they seem kind of blue or purple, you might have cool undertones. If the veins have none of these colors, you might have a neutral undertone.
@@Lu_Minary thank you for the advice
@@Lu_Minary Thanks for that. I've read this before, and sadly my veins seem to be all colours 😆I've even had an argument with a friend about whether some were blue or green, and we couldn't agree on hers either. It should be easier when you're older and your veins are more prominent, shouldn't it???
This was amazing!
Nice work, Gabi. Were you able to use concealer and/ or color corrector with the PTR product? Thanks!
Είμαι επαγγελματίας κ ανεξαρτήτως των προιόντων που διαφημίζεις έχεις τέλεια τεχνική!
Thank you!
I LOVE that blouse! Where can I get one?
