I realize this is an old video, but I'm hoping you've made more of them. This is BY FAR the best one I've seen. Everyone else talks too fast, zips the mouse around the screen too fast without adding visual cues. You're timing and visual aids are a model all others should follow.

Articulate; concise. You're a good teacher. I'm a refugee from FCP 7 and after about 17 years, finally going to FCPX.

I'm surprised this doesn't have more views. I've been putting off moving from FCP7 for a long time, and this video is extremely useful. I feel much more confident using the FCPX timeline now

This is really helpful. My version of FCPX is 10.4.10 and your video was from the FCPX version in 2015 so things look a little different and I'm having to search for placement of some of controls. It is making me wish that the layout was consistent but I'm also interested in how/why the Apple FCPX software team does what it does. I just wish I'd kept a copt of the same version so I could follow along a little easier. Peace

Great vídeo! Thank you. When I play a long clip the had goes away, but timeline stays frozen wherever I started playing. Can I make the timeline on screen follow the head when when I'm playing a zoomed in clip?

If there were alternate audio clips how would you do that? For instance if you have an attached audio for the boy waving rather than having the audio embedded in the video clip itself? I'm guessing that you can set up an equivalent audio and enable disable the same way, but what about if the audio clips were made part of the video by creating a composite?

It's funny I have to constantly relearn FCPX as I only edit every few months and get frustrated all over again. Thanks for helping me reduce the frustration! I'll bookmark this for next year.

I tried doing the comma and the period in FCPX and it doesn't nudge:( Why is that?) You mentioned it did in this video:(
Am I supposed to use another key with that? You just mentioned the comma and the period but no other key with that.

I don't know why my computer is sooo slow on FCP. 6 core xeon with 32GB ram and 250 free space of SSD. Always spinning wheel whenever I reposition the cursor. Any ideas?
