@@Brad_West that might be paramount to asking a 7-year old what they want from the sweet shop-- I will say three here and drop you an email. 1. Thanks Serg! Yeah I started doing that when I would send clients rough cuts and made notes for things that still had to be done or things they had to send me. Now it's sometimes more for me and less for clients. Especially on massive projects 😄🙌🏼
@@Brad_West Sorry, what I mean is in the viewport... upper right... 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, 400%, 600% How can I view it as say 77% without changing the size of my viewport? If that's possible.
@@Brad_West You're so welcome. Your tutorials are great. To the point, no fluff, I love it. I hope many people buy you beers / coffee on your channel, knowing how much time, care and effort it takes to create video tutorials.
Appreciate you watching man! I actually discovered this one by accident. When I worked a lot in Pro Tools, you could hold down option to select and deselect all Mute buttons for example and it worked in various places in the software. I did it out of habit once in FCP and voila! It worked 😂🙌🏼
Yooooo!!!!!! All of these tips were extremely helpful!!! Watching from my phone and catch wait to jump on the computer and start trying them all out. Thank you 🙏🏽
Hey brad, Thanks, Just yesterday I was wondering if it was possible to do tip #4 and low and behold you put out a video today mentioning this...On almost every project I need that, I was always clicking on the scale and transform and timing that I did not want to change and usually just want to take off the color grade and apply it to other clips, you just saved me a lot of time... Thanks!!!!
You're so welcome! Sometimes it's these tiny time-savers that are the most satisfying tips to learn. I'll take any bit of time saving during an edit 😄👊🏼
Hello Brad I have a question regarding Multiclip. I dont get any further. I film weddings with two cameras. One on the tripod and one on the gimbal. I always do start stop on the camera on the gimbal more often. So I have a lot of clips. Currently in Final Cut Pro I always put my tripod clips at the bottom and my gimbal clips manually at the top.Very time consuming. I've already watched some tutorials but unfortunately they don't work.
Hey! if you have audio on both cameras, then Final Cut Pro will do a great job of syncing, both those cameras in a multicam clip. My advice would be to import all the clips from Cam A, select them all in the browser window and then head over to the inspector window where you can change the camera name for all of those clips to “Cam A” or “tripod” for example. Then import all the clips from Cam B and do the same, but this time label the camera name “Cam B” or “gimbal”. Then select all of the clips and create a new multicam clip and let Final Cut Pro sync them for you. This tutorial will help: ruclips.net/video/W4F0Ef1u7wU/видео.html
Appreciate you asking! One problem I'm having is using a "fly in/slide in" effect on small images. These images slide in from an invisible point on the screen rather than the edge of the video canvas. I know this clipping has something to do with the image boundary box not being large enough, but nothing I do seems to fix it. Not even making them compound clips helps. Is there a workaround for this?@@Brad_West
You can either copy the color HEX code and paste it on all the other title templates if it’s only one color. Or if you select a color you can drag it to your favorites on the color selector and then those favorites will be available across all templates.
Here’s the best final cut tip of them all… Stop using final cut and learn how to use Da Vinci resolve… Yes resolve is not your grandmother’s editing system… But once you learn it you will be thrilled.
How many of these were new to you? 🤔

I’ve actually researched how to do exactly this in the past and never found a good solution.
