Dream sandwich to eat in what dream car?
Do you think there's a space that an "Old" style Hoonigan type channel could succeed? Or do you think car/internet/consumer culture has moved on from that?
Ok so first off, a dream sandwich doesnt exist. But it would prob be an imported Long Island Chicken Cutlet variant on a hero. Car would be a truck. Big center console for placement and maybe a bag of chips. @@BananaWagon
Keep up the good work Vinny excited to fallow your journey
It already exists. Some RUclipsrs took what we did and built insane businesses off of it. Fitting that dipshittery culture into a big business just wont work.@@keithhorner
RIP to the best of Hoonigan. Without the Hert, Vin, Dan, Suppy, Grim, it’s just not the same anymore. Vin I wish you the best with your new direction.
You can put Ken in that list too. ✌#KB43VER
@@LastNameInTownfor sure and we all love ken block 43 forever....but to be honest and fair to the OGs ken was a very very small part of this channels on screen success.. he always had something else going on while they were grinding away on this brand and channel, not that there's anything wrong with that, he just had other priorities as well
Without Ken continuing the financial backbone of Hoonigan, it was destined to die off. Pretty sure Lucy didn't want to keep it and Lia has her own career in the works. In all, the others are a great group of people but without Ken, the fabric isn't there to keep the group together.
Did all of them leave too??? I been off Hoonigan for awhile
@@pierrefab7185pretty much
The loss of Vin, Hert, Suppy, Nads on top of Ken's passing absolutely changes Hoonigan in ways that I don't think the company can recover from. I love the work that Scotto does, obviously Gymkhana is the stuff of legends and changed the entire car media world, but things are so different now.
Suppy still with the hoon no? Isnt he in charge of all the "secret" projects?
@@davidly5793Suppy has been gone for a while if I’m not mistaken.
There is no sevret projects, supy is gone
Also scotto has a new job at a new conpany and isn't really part of hoonigan anymore@@davidly5793
Suppy left too?
Agree, it’s lost its blood sweat and tears that’s relatable to the wider community.
Daily transmission era back at the Donut shop was really a legendary era of youtube automotive content and you guys paved the way for many car channels that are on top today. And otherwise inspired millions of car guys and girls to build cars and hoon around. Its sad to see where Hoonigan is going compared to what it was, but I guess every good thing must come to an end. And like someone already said; without you, Dan, Hert, Suppy and all the boys, its just not the same.
True man I miss the old days when Hoonigan just a bunch of enthusiasts who like to hoon cars
Daily Transmission showcased the amazing people in the shop, what they did really didn’t matter, as long as it was our crew that we loved, it was going to be entertaining as shit. It was organic, it was genuine, and that’s why it was amazing.
and we still do its just not really a business objective for them. it is hard to make sense of pure nonsense HAH@@marcuspearce7652
Thank you Vin for the heads up for the shop, DDE will continue the legacy of tires shreding and cool content, Damon started DDE because of Ken so he is full of gratitude and and honored to be and the same spot as you guys and the big boss #43 were. It will be a blast and it was so great to see you there shreding your gt3 tires. Hope to see you there whith the DDE boys sometimes and i hope your doing great !!!
I Love how they made the burn out area called The Block for Ken
Could this be a partnership....you and DDE? Imagine the possibilities....
Here here!!
I've been thinking the same thing. Think its a good match.@@joesanford-jj3yo
Vin moves to DDE I call it now
You literally changed car culture with all the OG Hoonigans. Do what makes you happy and know you inspired an entire generation of hoonigans.
Thanks! Incredible hard decision to make
@@vin_tra sometimes the hardest decisions have the best results...you are 100% going to flourish in your future endeavors!
the hyperbole is interesting. I don't see how Hoonigan "changed" car culture but it definitely supported it and pushed it out there and brought more people in. Hoonigan is just modern hot rodding. I dunno how radically it's changed other than the technology involved
CARRY ON
No he didn't. Ken did
@@hollarforadollar9244 hater
As an OG daily transmissions watcher seeing all of the OG's leaving hurts. But we will watch you, Dan and Hert wherever you go.
100%
Welcome to DDE FAMILY bro I can not believe they actually got the building I am so f ING pumped. All love from Connecticut
Man DDE is such a passionate, small, exciting up and coming channel! Damon & Dave seem like phenomenal and talented guys, they could use more great people on board for the ride! Them getting the hoonigan building could also be sign!! 🌟 Greatest of luck in the pursuit of all your dreams & passions!
End of an era… hoonigan will be missed and will never be the same without the OG’s
Indeed. Ken really held a lot of things in his orbit. Hoonigan imploded nearly immediately.
Ken passing and the Sale of the brand had to be the end of this OG Era.
I wish them well with or without all of you guys.
Good and relatable Content really means a lot to people around the world.
I hope all of you guys can pave your own lanes and collaborate with each other outside of hoonigan.
Best of luck.
it was sold over a year ago
Always been a Hoonigan fan, Ken got me watching the content. I spend my days over at DDE now and was STOKED to see you over there Vin, you would be an amazing member of that group. Hope to see more of you there but whatever you end up doing, I wish you well and I will be watching. Cheers!
You owe none of us any of this. You are just an old school good dude. Thank you for sharing a piece of you
You are right but I love the support so I want to make stuff for you.
The feeling is no longer what it used to be towards Hoonigan.. could care less if it's Corporate owned..... but we became a part of Hoonigan back from the donut shop days where it was rowdy... and everyone had genuine fun and were making a living doing it. Forever greatful for what you guys did and shared with us... positive vibes going forward my dude!
Couldn’t* care less. Not could.
"Could care less" makes no sense. You mean could not?
Grateful*
I don’t know when I stopped watching them. But the main channel is only this vs that now. No builds. No schennanigans. No scumbaggery
@@JUSTHAVEFUNRC the shenanigans were everything. Haha.
I’ve been watching hoonigan since I was like 12, I’m 21 now and while I’m sad to see my favorite people leaving, I’m super excited to see where everyone is going. I wish you nothing but the best and we all know you’ll succeed!!
DUDE THIS RULES! Thank you!
Me too dude! I remember coming home from middle school to watch daily transmission videos. Now I’m about to graduate university with a full degree. I feel so old now. Wishing you the best Vinny!
yup same situation here, ab to graduate, thx vin
@@vin_traI’m in the same boat but 23 now, love seeing appearances on dde, with Larry Chen. Collaboration and work with others in the industry would be dope.
Just have to say, I think Vin and DDE are a perfect match. Would love to see that happen. A huge win for both.
watched this when it came out, since DDE is back at the HQ that would be the next best thing to the old school. They've got the momentum be cool to have someone with your know how mixed in
I remember watching the first daily transmissions every day on my lunch break - that was one of the best parts of my days. The brand has changed, and I think the audience (atleast me) has changed as well. The OG guys have a special place in my heart, and I wish you all the best. You genuinely had a big impact on my view on cars and I'm sure I'm talkin for a lot of other people as well. Again, all the best for you Vinny!
I went from watching daily transmissions to watching This Vs That's for my lunch break activities now hah
This is so sad watching all the OG hoonigans leave but I get it times change, people move on, excited to see what the future holds
The company was probably sold or took on new investors that want to go a different most likely even more corporate then it already is so the OGs will naturally all leave
@@bored2323 It was sold, WheelPros owns it now.
@@bored2323if you just go look at the last handful of months of Hoonigan content it is all the very structured “this vs that” and similar content. The old content of having off the cuff and wild content won’t be done by a large corporation.
he will be working for DDE very soon
All of you guys have kept it so classy and never bad mouthed the company its very refreshing to see. Good luck with your future endeavors I wish you the best!
You hert and dan. Were my favorites to watch over the years. Just a bunch of fun chill bros that kept us laughing for years. We appreciate yall.
Yep, most of the people at Hoonigan worth watching have left.
Same! Unreal memories watching the three amigos laughing and car culturing
R.i.p. to the real hoonigan crew. Ever since Ken passed. Hoonigan has really changed drastically. I hope everyone that has left has so much success. Looking forward to what comes next
It was good to see you one The DDE Walk-through Video...Nostalgic
Hoonigan is basically dead at this point.
I dont think it will ever die, but it will be different
Been dead
also kinda true
@@2fast2nick
Agreed.
I obviously meant the OG Hoonigan we know, since none of them is even there anymore. Hoonigan as a name, as a brand will ofcourse continue under wheelpros.
I think what really sparked peoples love for Hoonigan was the fact that it was basically a skateboard brand. I don’t think growth is a bad thing, it’s just a very different company than back in the days of daily transmission. Good luck on whatever comes next, I know I’ll be staying up to date on your socials
Well said
You guys pushed car culture into the 2020s and gave the new generation a taste of the OG and bar none appreciation for anything with an engine. Hoonigans impact on car culture was rad and as you all branch out im excited to see you all keep that enthusiasm for motorsports alive for the new generation to learn and appreciate.
I have so much respect for this channel and when people decide to leave they actually address the fans/followers and let us know what’s up. That’s a true proper professional channel in my opinion. Respect. Best of luck in your future endeavors
Hey Vin! I just wanted to take a second and thank you for the last 10 plus years and everything you have done at hoonigan. You, Dan, Hert and Scotto helped to grow car culture leaps and bounds and had an impact I’m not sure we will ever see again. Above all you’re just a genuinely good dude! I had the pleasure of meeting you at SEMA at the burn yard a couple years back, you were super nice and humble and way generous with your time. Enjoy that vacation! I can wait to see the content you cook up man!
I honestly want to say that you Hert, Dan, and Zach are guys that made Hoonigan really fun to watch and support over the years. The work especially you would put in really showed through! Wish you success and happiness in whatever you get into next! Cheers to a new chapter bro!
In 10 years these guys will get together and make a hoonigan reboot
Really miss Hert annoying kikawa
Wtf. So disrespectful. Ken was the man
@@enriquepastor3626😂yea and the time ki showed he was a car guy too!
It’s good to see you back at the old shop, doing things with DDE respect from the UK

We all knew Hoonigan wasn't ever going to be the same after the HHIC unfortunately passed away. Vin I completely understand people get older and their priorities shift. I wanna say thank you for 10 good years of awesome ass entertaining content I wish you and everyone else good luck one everyone's new endeavors and I can't wait to see what everyone does.
Pretty sure they sold the company before Ken died.
It was toast before he died it went to corporate cunts
To be honest once Wheel Pros acquired Hoonigan i gave up on watching and buying merchandise. But we're still gonna support and show love to you and the guys (Hert, John Chase, Danger Dan) 🍻 Here's to the future and some GREAT memories! Give 'em hell🤘
That makes so fucking much sense, the owners of them is Audax who if you go through their assets... all corpo bullshit design firms, sales shit, medical etc.
I never followed Hoonigan but loved to see Ken out there. Nice to see you rippin around the yard with DDE, Porsche is my favorite! Wish you well for the future, you seem like a cool dude.
Just saying here would be sick to see you more in DDE on side help them grow into something new whilst starting your own thing. Either way stoked to see where life takes you!
Truly a end of a era. Feels like we were along for the whole ride. Best of luck to future you. You , Hert & the crew started a huge wave in the car scene, you deserve the rest.
Glad it’s over lmao
@@Jeffgordonfan24hesthegoat why are you even here?
It kills me to see what seems to be such a rapid decline of what was a huge part of my 20s and early 30s. It feels like O.Gs are being forced to make the choice to leave. Thank you for the memories.
I think after Ken passed away, people have had a deep look at their lives, and just considered their future, what they want to do. No shame in that. People haven't been forced to leave, they've just chosen to move on to different things in life, and that's okay.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the OG staff are forming another business and we see content mid 2024 after there non compete contract is complete
@andrewkirk8687 Martiniworks but with the og hoonigans
Mad respect for being so upfront about your life and how you feel about everything. Be who you are and the viewers will love it.
I LOVE these origin story style videos. This story is fantastically told, filming and editing is spot on. Great job Vin!
Well... I will forever cherish the great content we got with you guys and hope the future is bright both for you, the other great people who have left and hope hoonigan reinvents itself every day and keep bringing cool things to the table
Thanks man. It means so much that people enjoyed what we did. It is brutally sad to leave but it is the end of that era for the brand.
2023, the year Hoonigan died. Since Ken's passing it was clear everyone started taking a hard look at their own futures. Everything grows, everything changes, all things in life are temporary including life itself. Happy to see you branch out and take a leap. You'll do great, looking forward to seeing what comes next. You and Hert can be the next Swollen Members and take over the rap game!!!
Everybody takes something when they leave a company, something that meant something to them, what did you take and why?
Poach some kids from donut. Their scripts are trash lately, but they have solid characters.
@@d.leesheppard7607second that
The Hoonigan brand was being sold before Ken passed. I think these guys were already burned out and then tragedy. Now a wheel company is hoonigan, and hoonigan is now a wheel company. Time waits for no one. This always had a best by date, be glad we witnessed it, not just spoke about how cool it would have been.
I honestly think the content went downhill quite a while before Kens passing. Might have been the final straw though.

Really sad to see all this happening hoonigan has been my favorite channel for years now but it’s just not gonna be the same with all the OGs gone but thanks for all the content you guys have put out and all the memories.
Yeah, unfortunately a lot of the changes just don't align with what a lot of us wanted out of life and work alike. But it wasn't our choices and we had no control other than our own paths. Tough decisions but cant be bummed about the rad shit we did.
@@vin_tra not bummed about the rad shit at all man you guys did some of the coolest shit on RUclips and the biggest thing about it is you could tell it was all friends working together and just having fun that’s always what brought me back but good luck on your new journey I’ll definitely be watching
@vin_tra I know allot of us will follow as you do new things. I just wish there was a way you guys could do something together. It was such a great vibe of guys who just liked doing dumb stuff with cars.

As we watch the sun set on Hoonigan, I just want to say thanks for everything. It's been a wild ride and I enjoyed watching every minute of it.
Thank you for posting the video and went into details. I hope the new gig works out, all of your fans will be rooting for you!!
Welcome to the DDE family 🤔
As someone who also struggles to find happiness and fulfillment in what they do for a living, this hit me right in the feels. It's amazing you are working hard at finding that. A lot of people (me included) dont realize, until it's too late, that's what they should have done from the beginning.
Hoonigan has been a big chunk of all our lives and Ken's passing was a huge hit to every single one of us. As terrible as it sounds, I've felt less emotional about people I knew passing away.
I wish you and the rest of the Hoonigan team the best of luck in finding the happiness that you deserve.
Never too late to try something new. Just saying.
@MrStuwr250f true story. I started my career at almost 30, and I started my RUclips channel at almost 40.
@@FriendlyMBTech So good! If you try you are already winning no matter how old. I’m 54 and constantly thinking of new projects, done a few different things, some successful some not. I’m still keen to try new things. Good luck with your channel! (Ps just subbed to your channel)
@MrStuwr250f thank you! I 100% agree. As long as you're trying, you're moving in the right direction. A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. No matter your journey, you just gotta keep taking those single steps.
You are the reason I unleashed my inner bimmer fan boy. I have always loved BMWs like e36, e46, e92 but never made the move to buy one and enjoy it until i watch you on hoonigan.
Keep inspiring us to be well rounded drivers with great taste in cars!
It really is the end of an amazing era. All of you and ken made hoonigan what it is today, it won't be the same without you guys. I literally grew up watching gymkhanas and donut garage so much inspiration from all of you. Best of luck on your journey Vin, please keep us up to date! And RIP Ken. Love you all.
I’m glad your focusing on yourself and your happiness vin , love ya dawg and you’ve been a huge part of my car enthusiast journey
I don't know you, have never even chatted with you, but you've always been the guy I seemed to like the best from the channel. You just seem like a cool regular guy and you definitely have that charisma. You'll be fine, I have faith that whatever you decide to do will work out. I'm here to follow along.
Totally agree. He just comes off as really humble & down to earth. Which is unfortunately rare now a days.
The content you all produced from those early donut garage days really was some of the best. It's felt quite bittersweet lately working for a company whos name changed and now work under the Hoonigan name, when you know it doesn't mean the same as it was before, but the way you put it in your 'Why I'm Leaving' part shows that it's not all bad news, things change and for some that works and others it doesn't. Good luck on future endeavours, if you want food spots in Japan, I know many! Thank you for all!
Mad respect for saying it as it is and being willing to move onto something new. Thanks for making Hoonigan what it was for the better part of a decade of my life, y'all got me into cars and anytime I fell off I got right back into cars when a new Hoonigan video came up, cheers man.
Big respect Vin, glad you’re following your heart and doing what you want to do and focusing on what makes you happy. I can imagine choosing to leave a family like Hoonigan was a tough decision and not easy so big props. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future and will be following along 100% of the way. Stay up, stay humble, legend 🙏
Sad to see the og Hoonigan crew dissolve, but happy to see you move on to better things.
Been the biggest Vin supporter since day one. Can’t wait to see what you put out man.
One cool thing from my perspective is that when I discovered Hoonigan on RUclips, it was actually right when you guys had just started. When I found you guys, it was like you had been on RUclips the whole time and were like OG's of car content on RUclips.
It's hard to come to reality that you have to move on from a job that you once loved, but it also is very mature and better for yourself as a person.
Seeing you In the DDE video the other day when they took over the garage is that a sign to come you working with them…..
Been out of the car scene for a long while, but I think stumbling upon your story has re-sparked my interest. Can't wait to see where this all goes. Good luck Vin, thanks for sharing!
Hoonigan is just a name, you guys are what made the company so awesome!! Look at what top gear did, the grand tour is just as good if not better so I have no doubt you’re on to bigger and better things!
Hoonigan is bigger than us individually for sure. I think we would have all loved to had made it work but times have changed and the value we bring to the overall business is not seen or quantifiable enough to justify.
Along with the other OG Hoonigans, you have absolutely changed car culture for the better. I must have been watching for about 10 years and can honestly say that I wouldn't be half as crazy about cars if it wasnt for the quality content you were all pumping out. You should feel immense pride for what you have achieved. We only have control over our own paths in life, and it sounds like this is the right move for you. Look forward to seeing where things go - keep up the good work man!
Been watching since I was first into cars 7 years ago and grown as a car guy with all you guys but 100% support for all of this tomorrow is not promised, gotta do what you love how you want and be happy

All of your builds were my favorite. They were a huge inspiration for me. I love everyone at hoonigan but you, Dan, and Micha have been a huge influence on me, thanks. If you post updates I will support you as best I can.
You got our support bro - you’ve built Hoonigan to what it is, I’m sure everyone will be loving what you do next.
Been watching all of you through my teens , you guys got me through some tough times , shit I got leukemia back in 21’ so I was stuck in hospital that whole year in quarantine, y’all kept me laughing in there . Love y’all forever man
I left a job of 7 years that I once loved and thought I would never leave this year also. Once the happiness starts to fade, it changes everything. Best of luck to you on your new adventure. I hope it brings back the happiness you're looking for!
Wow, congrats on everything you've done with hoonigan and good luck with everything going forward. Out of the whole og hoonigan crew, you always seemed the most like someone who would be in my friend group. I'm a few years younger than you and seeing how hard you've worked and all the fun times and cool cars you've had, you're a bit of an inspiration to me man. Enjoy your time off then keep kicking ass
I think i can speak for many that we all enjoy the down to earth real human that you are, you don't try to be someone you're not.

@@RejectReality97 see I have spent the last 10 years watching Hoonigan. If you don't follow it then this wouldnt effect you. And that's fine. Those who do 2023 has been hard. We lost one of the most influential people in the automotive industry ever, and for sure this generations. In the last few months we have seen most of the original crew from Hooigan leave. It feels like something that we have invested years has fallen apart. So yeah it can bring an emotional response.
Seeing this makes me miss the old times soo much. Wish you the best Vin.
I wasn’t the biggest Hoonigan fan, so this video you’re making is actually my introduction to you. This video is nicely done and the honesty that’s coming through from it has me interested in what your next moves will be. I’m subscribed here and will keep an eye open for what you have coming next.

This would be incredible.
He knows he's the reason they were able to bid on it
This video is everything we’ve missed about Hoonigan. We were there for Hoonigan because it seemed like a bunch of friends having fun, living the dream. Once it lost the individual personalities & became more about product advertising, we lost the feel of personal connection to you the characters of the channel. We miss the feeling of hanging out at the shop & learning with the bros. I agree a vlog might not be your area of comfort, but these personal videos & carrying us along are what we want & miss. We’re here for the people, not corporate. I hope you find your happy spot, & we look forward to seeing you succeed on your journey!
Hoonigan was the perfect content for all aspects of car culture! The passion really came through the videos and spoke to me. Other channels want to flaunt their super cars, but there’s no soul behind it. It truly feels corporate.
Sucks that the channel is dead now, but I know the next thing that you and all the guys that left are going to continue to create things that will speak to us and be successful.
Good luck man!!!
Absolute legend mate. Have watched over the years and you have certainly inspired a great deal.
Tip my hat to you sir for making the leap and doing it for yourself. Mental health ain't no joke and you need to love what you do.
All the best! Sending love from South Australia 🍻🍻
Glad you’re still with us brother! Stoked to see where your journey takes you! Hit that skinny pedal and go!
As I’ve aged I’ve come to accept that the only constant in life is change. Hoonigan has been a fun journey and you were a big part of it. Good luck in your future endeavors.
You said it best brotha you gotta do what makes you happy if not goin threw life miserable at a job is jus like waisting life away congrats we're here to support 🙏🙏🙏

Best of luck to you man. Don't think you need it, people who give it their best never fail. People love love you, the camera loves you and looking forward to following along in the journey.
Congratulations on big life changes. You’ll do great Vin. You’re a great guy with the World in front of you. Looking forward to following your journey 🇬🇧👍
I stumbled across you guys during 2020 while I spent 3 months in a children’s hospital holding my son begging for answers for his challenges. It was such a fun mix of car content. And the cohesiveness of you guys made it worth the watch. I spent hours with him in my lap so my wife could work, dreaming through hoonigans eyes, about fun car stuff. You guys provided an escape for that time period. And I can’t thank you enough. My son loves the sound of the engines and we’d love to be able to travel to events to hang out. For context, he’s one of five children known in the world with an unnamed genetic disorder. Again, blessings on all your journeys and maybe someday our paths with cross 🙏🏼
You always brought an extra energy and thoroughly enjoyed watching!! Best of luck in whatever you do next!
Man this throws me back when I first started watching you guys. Definitely gonna miss the whole crew, things will never be the same but hopefully something better is to come.
Vin thank you for years of entertainment. Hoonigan won't be the same without you and Hert but I can't wait to see what future content you come out with.
So great to hear your story. Stoked to see where life takes you next man!
It all makes a bit more sense now. Used to love following along with you guys, but everything started feeling disconnected and weird. Haven't really watched in the last 2-3 years other than the occasional project.
You guys got to live the car guy dream for a few years and that's rad, thanks for taking us along for the ride!
Good luck man.
Honestly after all the years of content it would be absolutely impossible not to wish you the absolute best of luck in everything you do going forward my dude❤
