Héél erg mooi gespeeld ! Van Henk in Amerika… ouders vanuit Rotterdam naar Amerika in 1956… ik was hier in Amerika geboren… maar was vaak in Rotterdam, m’n ouderse geboorteplaats; en was ook vaak in de Laurenskerk op visite, inclusief één concert.

Very beautifully played! From Henk in America… parents from Rotterdam to America in 1956… I was born here in America… but was often in Rotterdam, my parents’ birthplace; and was also often in the Lawrence church on visits, including one concert.
I remember learning at school (about 50 years ago!!) about how Bach is such a good example of polyphonic music and, Gert, I just love it when you play Bach. It's as if you have listened to each of those voices and make sure that you bring them out so we can hear them through your choice of registration and your brilliant playing. And great work, Dick. Not sure I've heard Gert play this one before! BWV 547 is one of my very favourite Bach preludes (for any instrument), its so joyous and clever! Gert plays it quite a bit more staccato and disjointed than the recordings I most enjoy though, but it works in a different way I think.
