Fantastic! I can't find a suitable word. You have achieved the aura of the masterpiece as Tchaikovsky would have intended it and at the same time, you wonderfully demonstrate the power of organ! For Tchaikovsky and organ lover, you open door to another dimension.

Gert you have the ability to use the organ to convey to the listener the sense of the whole orchestra in these renditions of the great orchestral pieces that are part of the canon of classical music. Not only that but you stamp your own unique musical genius on each interpretation. Bravo to you and to Marjolein - without whom it would not be possible to produce such greatness.

Very good adaptation. Nearly sounded like the full symphonic version...no other instrument could even come close, especially when commanded by GH!
I grew up listening this played by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in an outside auditorium in upper Michigan with an array of cannon, musket fire, drums and whatever else they could throw in the pot. It was usually played on July 4. I have many fond memories of this masterpiece by Tchaikovsky and I now have a new one, played brilliantly by a master organist, Gert van Hoef. Gert if I may say so, you obviously love what you do, and it shows in virtually every piece you play, but here, here, Mr van Hoef, you shine. Thank you for sharing something you obviously love. Awesome !!! - P.S. I'd love to hear what you would do with Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries... Jeff Frixen
Anyone who can play this piece, move ten fingers and two feet separately and be point on , should be able to fly a space craft, no problem. Kudoos. Amazing.
