Thank you for getting me into guitar world! I never liked guitars before (my husband is a drummer and always wanted to get me into music) but only after he showed me your Solar guitars, I fell in love. Non-music people think all guitars are the same, but they just didn't see Solar yet.
You're good in playing guitar and doing music, good in vlogging, good in fatherhood, good in making guitars, in cooking, in design and in business, is there anything you can't do on this Earth? :)

I spoke to one of the guitarists from NeObliviscaris. They used to bring nylon strings with them on tour but now just have it on the backing track
I LOVE Witchery and didn't know they played Solar. Fantastic. And, having never been to Australia, traveling for the tour would be a great way to experience it all.

Ола, привет. There is a solution for the competition - invite someone really famous or/and very respected in the community. For example if you do a solo contest and someone like Petrucci or godlike Vai choses a winner, there will be zero people complaining. Well, this example is a lil' bit improbable but you got the point.

So, for the upcoming Solar Basses, got an idea: 5 strings, MM/J pickups (mini switch to split the MM) and 35". Love your videos (even though I don't play metal -but listen to it a lot-)

Since you love PANTERA so much, have you listened to EXHORDER? You can hear they were a big inspiration (Especially Phil's vocals) when they recreated their sound from a glam metal band to their more epic and heavy sound.

What do you think of new wave melodic death metal bands like Insomnium, Be'lakor, Noumena etc...These bands are my favorites by the way....
@9:14 Ola, if you have a surround sound system at your house for movies, I STRONGLY urge you to seek out the 5.0 version of Opeth's 'Blackwater Park'. It's so immersive, and adds even more depth to this amazing album. ('Still Life' 'Heritage' and 'In Cauda Venenum' surround sound versions are also exceptionally good too)
Also, A Guitar Center distribution for Solar Guitars would be nice, since it's easier for people in Latin America to go there and buy your guitars. A Telecaster body reverse headstock with Floyd Rose would be cool!
For people who are just learning about natural harmonics, I'd recommend the intro of Metallica's "(Welcome Home) Sanitarium" for practice (a bit easier than the Ola riff for beginners :) )

Hey Ola, just a short update on the Testament-riff you taught me (FAQ 56) to "encourage my neighbours love-making-enthusiasm": I finally got to the point where I managed to play the riff in about the original speed and tried it out on full volume. When it became silent again, I heard both of them shouting something through the walls that could be translated as "da FUCK?!?!?", so I guess it worked perfectly. Thanks for teaching me the riff and wish you all the best! \m/_ _\m/
Riff of the Day! I actually saw Dimebag mess that up and when the rest of the band comes in no one played Dime even quit. Then Phil looked over and said "What was that? Let's try that again" then he nailed like almost always. Probably the only time he ever did. Very cool. At the Backroom Austin TX. Like mid or late 91 . If I remember right they played New Level the same night.
Fan from Denmark here. I agree with the Big brother relationship between the nordic countries; I disagree with Sweden being the big brother.

About the ML shape, the top front spike is missing from it, but your headstock points that way... maybe the other spikes could be inspired by your headstock shape.
If you send me a lefty I would make a video like the one you did your old washburn sig. Now in all due seriousness that thing was so hilarious and it's one of the few videos I come back to watch again and again.

Yeah we already knew you were coming to Aus, unfortunately that touring company has decided the other half of Australia doesn't matter. Would love to see you in Adelaide and I know a bunch of Western Aussies are missing out too.
Wow these FAQS are getting long. Not that I'm complaining, but I rarely get the chance to sit on the toilet for more than 15 minutes at a time. Either my kids interrupt me, my wife askes me if I've fallen down the toilet or my legs go numb 😅

Good taste in Opeth, Ola.. BP is my fav too, for the same reason. I love The Drapery Falls, such an amazing riff.
Watershed definitely great too, as is Ghost Reveries. I was lucky enough to see them in Brisbane on the Watershed tour. I don't dig their prog evolution, don't really like prog singing.

Would you consider manufacturing guitars with a plain fretboard? Your instruments look great already but I think an even more minimalist approach to branding would make them look even better. Maybe as a special order or something? I'd definitely consider buying one.

6:04 the whole thing about competitions is so true. i just experienced it first hand. i conducted a mixing contest and there was so much salt when i announced the winner and people even bashed me for no legitimate reason. there weren´t that many people who got salty, but the ones that did wrote some extremely discouriging things. it was supposed to be a fun learning experience for everybody, but then these idiots just have to come along. i would love to make another contest sometime in the future, but in hindsite that kind of stuff makes me think twice.

I've heard many people, including Misha (Periphery), talking about how the Evertune Bridge would affect the tone of a guitar, in a positive or negative way in each situation. Have you experienced this issue, and if yes, how would it affect Solar guitars?
I would like to suggest the fine combination of Quake and older Sepultura. Will give your life more depths and such.

I get the Big Brother idea. Also in musical sense. For example Finnish melodic death metal scene has been very much infuenced by swedish Death scene, both Göteborg and Stockholm scene. Bands like Omnium Gatherum and Insomnium have said it themselves. And that is (bleeb) awesome.
