As I watch this I think about what I have accomplished in the last year. I kicked a nasty drug addiction, been clean and sober over a year, have my own house and making good friends. After being a addict, homeless and slowly killing myself I moved out of state, got help and am slowly getting back on track. Keeping a positive attitude was tough, especially being in a new environment, sober and not knowing anyone. And after a year of staying committed to bettering myself I am just now making great friends and exciting for what the future holds. I still struggle to let go of my negative past, yet I am proud to say I am alive and able to take care of myself without narcotics ruling my life. Glad to hear you are enjoying life, I am enjoying mine. Cheers Ola!

Yes, I'm an old, OLD guy.. but here I am, a subscriber to your channel, and digging more and more metal everyday...( I hit my stride as a player with much older metal.. Hi, Ola! I'm a new owner of a Solar A2.7, having received my several days ago. I had to reach out and thank you personally because I haven't been this impressed with an instrument [especially one at this price point] in a very long time. The major worries I had were quickly diminished within moments of plugging it up to my amplifier. I was skeptical of the C shaped neck design at first [especially a finished one] being so used to Ibanez style super thin U necks. It felt great to me and super fast to slide around and I found myself being able to comfortably roll my hand around the neck in a variety of ways which has even eased any discomfort I sometimes feel during extended play time in my fret hand due to injuries sustained during my line of work.
The Duncan Solar pickups were also similarly spectacular in sound, like the best parts of an active pickup had a baby with a passive pickup. I was able to dial in the exact sound I wanted, something I was previously unable to do. There was always something that could improve with my tone, something to adjust. It was never quite right before. I'm hard pressed to find anything negative to say. Maybe the lack of locking tuners? But, if that's the worst I can say... It's not even something I would expect at all on an instrument in it's price range any way. And hell, I've transported it multiple times already and it's remained in tune anyways.
Again, thank you. I now have a unique instrument with a great tone in an extended range market flooded with Ibanez. I will definitely be purchasing additional guitars from Solar over time as the seven string line develops over time [Type S :D]. I would definitely recommend anyone with any reservations about them give it a go, it's worth it, and plan on spreading the word t local musicians interested in extended ranges to give Solar Guitars a look. Cheers from the US.
P.S. Why no gig bags on the Solar Store? D:

Hey Ola. I saw At the Gates last night and they were amazing. Seeing both guitarists playing their Solar guitars was very cool. At the Gates has been one of my favorite bands since I first heard Slaughter of the Soul and last night was the first time I was able to see them. One of my best friends and singer for my band introduced me to them way back in the 90s. He passed away not long after and I felt like I was seeing them for him as well. Tampa Bay area death metal shows are always huge crowds. I would love to see The Haunted play here some time.

I started watching this video and i had an epiphany that you (Ola) and I were in the same place at the same time and didn't meet. In 2012, when you were playing with "Six Feet Under" I was living in Houston at the time, and i heard "Revocation" was coming to town, so when the time came, naturally, i went to the show. There was a local act before "Revocation" who's name i cant recall, then "Revocation" (obviously), then "Dying Fetus", then "Six Feet Under". I stayed though all 3 sets, and when i went to the show i just knew "Revocation" was coming, and at the time, i had not yet learned that you had joined "Six Feet Under", So being a massive fan of your channel, i found out a couple weeks later that you had joined, and i thought to myself, "wait, didnt i just see them?" and turns out i was right, you were there, i had a chance to meet you in the early days and
I was completely oblivious, and ive been pissed at myself for that for about 6 and a half years now haha.
I met the "Revocation" guys, with the original line up at that time, but had no idea that you were there until after it was too late. Talk about needing a time machine.
Ive been watching since the "-insert amp here- Metal" days, and thats been one of those things that has just sat on the back of my mind for all these years, and i really wanted to tell you haha.
I really hope you see this, because its a true story, and Im pretty bitter about it honestly haha
But whatever, shit happens. I love you man!

Hey Ola, are you a fan of Thy Art is Murder? I’d been a fan of them for a while but after I saw them on the double homicide tour with Decapitated it solidified my love for their sound. If you haven’t listened to them before, you should check out the song Naked and Cold from their Holy War album. Greetings from Virginia, USA.

Hey Ola, I have been watching your videos since the early "no talk-just rock" demos. It has been awesome to see your channel grow and to see you continue to make some of the best metal songs/albums to date. I just watched your new Fortin Satan demo and I was wondering: what are the difference between the Randall Satan and the Fortin Satan or are they basically the same? Also, it would be pretty sick if you made a 7 string explorer model...just a thought/suggestion. Much love from the U.S.

Hey Ola! Loved this FAQ, very positive one, and of course funny as always. It was very inspiring when you talked about how hard you've worked. My question is, how do you balance de tone of a guitar, in terms of the woods and the pickups? My Ibanez RG2560 (ash body and maple neck) is too damn bright, even when I replaced the stock Ibz/Dimarzio pickups for Dimarzio Titans. Thank you!

Hey Ola, have you ever heard of SoundMiner, basehead or Soundly? Those can help managing your riffs. I use them for sound design, but basically they are softwares that organize and reads all metadata you inject into the files, and you can separate them in many different section and description types. The good thing about it, is that you will not have to click in any folders, you just write what you want, and a bunch of options appear. Also, it won't matter if you have DI only tracks, because this softwares accept plugins. You can also spot them into various different ways into any DAWs. Very cool, might help your workflow a bit if you want.

IMO, he's more Toki than Skwisgar, but the Metalocalypse comparison is very apt.

I'm curious how replacing the studio foam/ guitar wall with wood and logo has affected your studio acoustics?

Hey Ola! Anyone ever told ya your name means "Hello" when translated :) so here I would say "Olá Ola". Your videos are awesome! Love the content! Do you like Symphonic Metal? Kinda feel is an under rated genre with all the full on techincall approach of these days. Cheers from Portugal. Would love to have your opinion on Glasya - Heaven's Demise video. We are just starting up. Again, love your videos! And love your guitars xD

Hey Ola I'm not a big Thin Lizzy fan, but I really enjoy the song Emerald. Its good for when you are playing fantasy games that feature melee weapons. You should give it a listen since you seem to enjoy video games. ☺
