I used to share a house with a girl who was madly in love with George Michael. Particularly the Faith video. I told her that she might be barking up the wrong tree.
I was 7 or 8 when this movie came out and still remember how much it rocked the culture. Like Nintendo of the day, it was something everyone talked about, wanted to see, and had unlimited replay value. Great video - look forward to more!
Very nice video Matthias. You make really good content. I was watching this movie last night and thought I should search for the house to see if there were pictures from it nowadays, and you released this video about the same time! Thanks for your efforts, may there be many viewers coming your way for this. Great idea to release it now when so many are watching the movie.
There’s a video taken in April 2016 of the house looking still very similar as in the film, though with fence up. I guess the current owners aren’t home alone fans, don’t want the intrusion, want to make the house their own etc. Was thinking that could be why they’re changing the gardens at least to detract people but that wouldn’t really work.
You gotta wonder how naive the people that recently bought that house must be to think that they can suddenly live privately in what is arguably one of THE most famous homes on earth. I can imagine how the neighbors must feel.
It’s a wealthy neighborhood that is heavily patrolled by the Popo. They put up a fence and changed the driveway. That being said it’s actually made the house worth less because of the hassle. Same thing with Cameron’s house from Ferris Bueller.
Ha, yes, the way film editing jumps all over the map and makes things that are very far apart seem right next to each other is always surprising. Previously I defined film editing as removing the boring moments, but I suppose you could also say that it removes the boring places.

I'm not (or better say: I was not?) so much into this movie, BUT my son loves it, so anyway, I always watch it with him :) - basically at least once per year. I haven even learned to like it :)
20:28 that store Kevin steals the toothbrush from was never a supermarket in the film, it was a pharmacy. The supermarket is the place he goes when he goes shopping and walks home with the bags of groceries.

It happens we just watch Home Alone with my daughter and “bang!” this timely video on RUclips. Thank you Matthias!
imagine watching home alone inside that house..
When many towns were built in the USA, the power lines were built like that. Some places have since put the power lines underground
Hello, I'm from Brazil, your channel is really cool, congratulations and good luck!
I remembered that this movie is on Disney plus but only during Christmastime. It's one of my favorite movies and it's also a comedy.
How lovely
Hello Matthias your english is very great 😊

That's one of my favorite movies and you forgot to show the store where Kevin went shopping and had a coupon and spent 19.83
Nice video!
Looking forward on the sequel movie, Matthias.
Have a great visit in New York
Great👍

You forgot to visit the grocery store that Kevin went to. Yes it still there and you can go visit it

Been good if you had filmed at Christmas time ! Still like what you have done !

Great video!
Very nice video of this Iconic location!
That “bucket thing” is an electrical power transformer.
Nice, but would have been better if you visitied the location in the winter time, when the movie was set.
The house owners should find that same statue and put it out. 🙌
Cómo se llama la ciudad ? Me encanta la película .
They built a set in an abandoned school
Great video of a great movie. Thanks Matthias !
🤗👍🏻💯
Matthias Schwarzer der Name hört sich irgendwie österreichisch an
where are you at ?

"Supermarket" must be a catch-all term in Germany. He also called JCPenney a supermarket in the Back to the Future video that he made.
Many stuff in this place was taking good care of.
I feel addressed😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 but im never home alone
❤❤
