  • It works - • Manually controlled VF...
After searching for hrs I couldn’t find any info online about making these mufflers work with a switch.
So I bought a VF SSV Bimodal muffler from marketplace for only $75 that should fit perfectly to the Blade (or other vehicles) with some very minor modifications.
Now apparently these motor actuator units won’t just hook up to a manual switch (I found that the motor also contains a circuit board controller before the actual motor) and this only works with the commodores pulse system or if you’ve got mad coding skills with an Arduino. From my research nobody has been able to make it work with the factory kit on another vehicle.
So let’s do it. Can’t be that hard. Here’s a sneak preview so far.
I’ll open it up, see how it works and come up with a simple manual switch to suit any car.
    So far so good.
It had water in it anyway but the motor works fine. Id say it’s been lying around in the rain for a while.
Now it’s all cleaned up and RE lubed, time to solder on some wiring, seal it back up and give it a test !
Then I can make the full video tutorial on how to use these cheap readily available mufflers for your Blade or any car for that matter !
Grab one now before they go up in price after this tutorial launches 🚀 .

thanks Legend 👍🏻 behind the motor mechanism that unbolts is the spring actuator. If you want to permanently leave it open you could dremel the spring off and then put some JB WELD putty around it so stays open and it doesn’t rattle would be one option. For temporary opening you could drill a hole through the actuator bracket and housing and put a small bolt with lock nut. 🔩 or even twist some wire around it and secure it open with one of the holes
