Dimensions or the vehicles in terms of gripping the trail? LC vs Patrol means nothing until you analyze the features, both vehicles are equally capable in my view when equipped in comparison
Crawl control decreases your speed and limits the rev limit , which means no momentum ! For this you need momentum ! Crawl control helps to recover when you are stuck in sand loose sand or sunk in slush ! It also helps in climbing boulders !
It's all about having diff locks. The y62 has a factory rear locker but the 200 series doesn't. Also it depends upon the driver since many y62 owners were struggling up that slope. Both are great rigs otherwise.
You realise crawl control reduces the the rev limit to 3000 revs and decreases the speed of the vehicle to somewhere near 10mph ! It only helps in recovering from loose sand heap and deap slush and in order to climb over rocks and boulders ! This particular slope shown in the clip is iced with a huge heap of mud and in order to get over it , momentum ,traction and even clearance is needed ! The Patrol is equipped with better TC followed by 282mm of GC thanks to all independent suspension ! Momentum wise , both are descent! Don't make up stuffs when you don't own one!

I would love to see the VK built into a Throphy truck tbh, would be cool to see if it can handle the Baja 1000. This is shot on a different day, it's a completely different traction surface when comparing a rainy day to a rain soaked surface. My own vehicle had no problem going up a similar hill when it was pouring rain, came back a week later on a sunny day and couldn't get halfway. Exact same vehicle, nothing changed other than the surface. Y62 is pretty good but that's not a good comparison

Toyota land cruiser is no 1 no matter what Nissan do ... Those people try convince others that nissan is better than Toyota, but take it from me I used both cars for quite some time and I know what I am talking about.. Nissan is good for 2 to 3 years then problems start like overheating (specially in hot regions like here.. Dubai) a/c is not cold like toyota, interior color faded, some complain about weak frame and very thin sheet metal.

They are a great buy for the money and have plenty of grunt etc. The cruiser is a heap more cash but not as good off road in standard form, as you say, the parts around the body and interior always lasted on the toyota and the cooling system is proven.

Its not a fair comparison, the Cruiser has the slowest twin turbo V8 in history plus doesn't have lockers from factory. I think they should have used a Cruiser that has 50k worth of mods to compare and probably found a stock Y62 to even it up a bit more
Actually there isn't any need for 50k worth mods. It just needs a rear diff lock. 650nm of torque is just more than what the y62 produces that too at a higher rpm band.
