NOTE: I didn't ride El Toro at the time of making this video. Now that I have, I agree that it is the best wooden coaster out there. Still love Boulder Dash though.
"The last few hills of this ride give you some of the most intense ejector airtime out there, without any discomfort." ...................... Are you sure you're talking about Boulder Dash?
I grew up in CT in the 90s and early 2000's and this was THE park to go to, unless you wanted to drive over an hour away to Six Flags. I even went here once on a school competition where after each school competed, we got to spend the day ALONE in the park. It was incredible! I rode Boulder Dash like 30 times! EDIT: Also my Dad and I personally call Wildcat the "Chiropractic Adjustment Ride" because you will have a different back then when you got on.... but not in a good way... ^^;
As a central CT native who now lives in central WI, I miss going to The Lake almost every week to hang out with friends and enjoy the thrills of the small park with big rides. Boulder Dash is still to date my favorite wooden coaster.
I used to work at lake compounce after sand bag testing the Zoomerang and seeing the ride get stuck a few times I was one of the first people to ride the coaster to test it. People were nervous and did not want to ride it at first
I think lake compounce needs some hyper coasters like Fury 325 at Carowinds or Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure, or get an rmc coaster for lake compounce and kennywood aswell
I once when there with my school and me and my friends were waiting on line to go on wildcat for about an hour and right as we were about to ride it we had to leave because the cart got stuck and we never got to ride any roller coasters because all the lines were to long
I went yesterday, and rode Boulderdash and Phobia Phear for the first time. Boulderdash was OK, but didn't live up to the hype for me. It was kind of rough and gave me a slight headache after getting off. I enjoyed King's Dominion's Twisted Timbers much better. Phobia Phear was kind of lame because it was too short. They should at least let you do it twice, or backwards or something. I did like that fact that it was very smooth though.
There's one of these at Bosque Mágico in Mexico called Zombie Ride where they apparently let you go around twice. There's some kind of clever switch-track arrangement that lets them run with two trains to keep the capacity up. ...whoops, I spoke too soon, sounds like Bosque Mágico is closing down permanently in just a couple of weeks. I hope Zombie Ride finds a good home.
I went last year... Out of 14 parks, Wildcat was the worst and the triple up on Boulder Dash wasn't much better. Just wish the retracking they did for 2017 on these 2 coasters had been done before I went in 2016. Wild the woodies sucked, I absolutely loved Phobia and was able to ride it many times. Helped make up for the disappointing woodies.
I have a love and hate relationship with the boulder dash. Sometimes its like the Wildcat and other times it smooth and wonderful. Its really wonderful at night
Top Five Coasters at Lake Compounce... and yet there’s only five of them if you even count the kiddie coaster, but it really a point of doing a Top Five for this park?? I can see for a Six Flags park that has alot of coasters.
You think wildcat is too rough? Try the New Mexico Rattler at Cliffs amusement park in Albuquerque New Mexico and THEN tell me about rough😂 (seriously tho I've ridden both and wildcat is practically a B&M compared to the NM Rattler. Tbh its not even worth the credit)
Any suggestions for better seats to ride in for boulder dash and wildcat? I’m trying to get my mom on these two and she’s nervous with coasters, so I’d prefer to make it as comfortable a ride as possible for her
I went back to Compounce last weekend and I'm afraid that Boulder Dash is getting worryingly rough. It's still so thrilling that it's worth riding, but the jackhammering is making it hard to enjoy. I also rode Phobia for the first time, and... it was actually my favorite ride of the day.
Wildcat has gotten unbearable over the years as for when I first rode it it was smoother in 2015 but last year that thing gave me a headache for the whole day and I even SKIPPED that ride on my next visit. Thankfully they are retracting it for the 2017 season.
Wildcat has new cars and the retracking is coming to a close. it is currently in testing mode. I saw it going up today for the first time this year so hopefully it will be open soon
I agree. At the time of making this video, I hadn't ridden El Toro yet. However, now that I've ridden it, I can safely say that it is amazing enough to get the number one wooden coaster spot.
Unfortunately, I have not. I haven't been to SFGA since 2005, a year before they got it. However, I'm going there on September 10th and am very excited for it.
I'd also love to check out The Voyage at Holiday World, Phoenix at Knoebels and Lightning Rod at Dollywood. Though I'd probably have to wait a while for the latter one to work properly.
NOTE: I didn't ride El Toro at the time of making this video. Now that I have, I agree that it is the best wooden coaster out there. Still love Boulder Dash though.
Phobia Phear is the first rollercoaster I ever been on
@@evelynsmith8419 That's quite a start! It's a good ride but the thrills are fairly high-level.
"The last few hills of this ride give you some of the most intense ejector airtime out there, without any discomfort."

Are you sure you're talking about Boulder Dash?
Clorox Bleach I immediately took back that statement after a back row ride in October. There was indeed discomfort, especially with the triple up.
my back hurt for 2 weeks after boulder dash...
Dingus :D dude I almost fell out lol
Chef Bojack Thats half the experience. I always make sure to have a fists width of space between my legs and the lap bar.
not a good ride on boulder dash if you get off without bruises :)
Oh my god I loveeee boulder dash. One of my favorites of all time.
I live in CT and have been to Williamsburg park, I think the phobia is better :P
Yes same

Mine's Thorpe Park
Big oof.
They are giving wild cat a new track today
Patmonster Gaming here 2 years later the tracks is still trash
@@melvinramos2849 according to a park worker we talked with yesterday, it hasn't helped.
Ill pass on the martini coaster
They redid it
Rob's Rides me
5 Wild Cat
4 Kiddie Coaster
3 Zoomerang
2 Phobia Phear Coaster
1 Boulder Dash
World Wide Wrestling 😂 even the kiddie coaster is better than the wild cat
Wild cat slander 😈😈😈
I used to work at lake compounce after sand bag testing the Zoomerang and seeing the ride get stuck a few times I was one of the first people to ride the coaster to test it. People were nervous and did not want to ride it at first
Great video! Not the best park for a countdown, but at least you've ridden all of the coasters and can give opinions.
That pendulum ride is pretty intense if you sit on the edge with your back to the park, I felt that intensity for the next two days
I think lake compounce needs some hyper coasters like Fury 325 at Carowinds or Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure, or get an rmc coaster for lake compounce and kennywood aswell
I'm going here with my school next week
i remember loving the boulder dash and the boomerang when i was a kid
I went on zoomerang the first time I was crying and then started screaming my lungs out my head kept swinging back and forth u should try it 😏👌🏽👍🏽
I road wildcat it was fun but it hurt my mom's belly so ya
I liked how wildcat retracking and new trains made it smooth
WILD CAT IS AWSOME REVIEW GOLIATH AT SIX FLAGS NEW ENGLAND MY BACK HAD A CRAMP FOR 2 DAYS. also boulder dash is best ridden at night
lake compunce is also my home park as well boulder dash is super awsome same with wildcat and phobia. And now its 2024 so wildcat is smoother
This is my homepark
I think I'll be going there this summer.
I like how the New England area has 3 Vekoma Boomerangs.
Zoomerang? Smooth?
....................
Have we ridden the same roller coaster? I felt like I got a concussion after riding it!
It can be painful if you don't ride defensively through the cobra roll
I once when there with my school and me and my friends were waiting on line to go on wildcat for about an hour and right as we were about to ride it we had to leave because the cart got stuck and we never got to ride any roller coasters because all the lines were to long

The kiddie coaster and zoomerang raised me xd
I literally immediately got onto phobia when I went into the "line" because there was like *Nobody there*
I guess Wildcat is a cursed Coaster name.
I loved Boulder Dash when I rode it in 2012 but I heard that triple up had gotten really rough by 2016.
I thought thunderbolt at SFNE was unbearably rough more than wildcat
I thought Thunderbolt was fine. Have you been on Wildcat at Hershey? Or the Coney Island Cyclone?
StamfordBridge the coney island cyclone was very fun
Thunderbolt is too slow for the roughness to matter, its just like a sort of light massage.
Gavin Crowley Yes, I did think Thunderbolt was a bit of a dull ride compared to a lot of other old woodies.
wildcat was retracked about a year ago. when i went on it it was smoother than it was before it was retracked, i would try riding it again
Wow, my home park is six flags new england
We’re going for a school end-of-year trip.
They retracked Wildcat.
I didnt know you were from CT ?
Wildcat isn't rough
I have a love and hate relationship with the boulder dash. Sometimes its like the Wildcat and other times it smooth and wonderful. Its really wonderful at night
It’s funny how wild cat at Hershey is rough and wild cat at compounce is rough
I live here toooo
The only one I rode is boulder dash I recommend it it’s is really fun but really bumpy
Wildcat is a nightmare. It’s so rough and bumpy. It does hurt. Avoid it.
Dude I’m 9 years old and I went on phobia and all the other rides
Zoomerang is okay to me
Top Five Coasters at Lake Compounce... and yet there’s only five of them if you even count the kiddie coaster, but it really a point of doing a Top Five for this park?? I can see for a Six Flags park that has alot of coasters.

They should make a RMC Wildcat
RMC it!
Any suggestions for better seats to ride in for boulder dash and wildcat? I’m trying to get my mom on these two and she’s nervous with coasters, so I’d prefer to make it as comfortable a ride as possible for her
that's my home park
Lake componce is my home park too I go there 1nc a year I like phobia more than Boulder dash tho
i never realized that there is only 5 coasters.
It's a fairly small park but a nice one.
also, boulder dash is so fucking intense, it's not even funny. i had a panic attack on it, lol
I’ve been on wildcat and riding it is like torture
Really wish they’d just take down wild and out an RMC hybrid
At my home park, Seabreeze, it has one of the oldest operating roller coasters. It is called the Jack Rabbit and it is pretty awesome!
Yeah, I rode Boulder Dash in ‘21 and it was way rougher then it had been in ‘19. It needs a new track I think.
Note: also the bottom 5 coasters at Lake Compounce
Title: top 5
Lake compounce: 3 take it or leave it
Wildcat has gotten unbearable over the years as for when I first rode it it was smoother in 2015 but last year that thing gave me a headache for the whole day and I even SKIPPED that ride on my next visit. Thankfully they are retracting it for the 2017 season.
wild cat had my daughter crying
Zoomerang is really bad this year so as bolder dash
Boulder dash is my favorite ride in the word
IM GOING ON BOULDER DASH
Zoomerrang is the BEST!!!!
They recently retracted Wildcat and added new carts and it is planned to open tomorrow. (Memorial Day)
Hello I’m going to lake conponces today and that’s on of my favroitos wildcat bolder dash and phobia and I was only 8 when I first went on phopia
They retracked it but it’s worse
Welcome to my home park too!
Umm bolder dash is not smooth at all i almost fell out of bolder dash and wild cat
Wildcat has new cars and the retracking is coming to a close. it is currently in testing mode. I saw it going up today for the first time this year so hopefully it will be open soon
I’m going here for a school trip
My friend fainted on bolder dash
Wait you live in Connecticut?
Tfw your home park has 2 coasters. Shout out to all my Castles n Coasters boys out in Arizona.
I love this place but wild cat is getting a better track know and should be done mid July and I agree with this list
I rode wildcat at the age of 5. I REALLY wanted to leave!
Wildcat has become shaky again. It is so bad I am surprised that no one has gotten hurt on it get.
Do you live in Connecticut
Is this Wildcat as rough as Hershey Park Wildcat?
But there only are 5 coasters
Do you play Planet Coaster or RCT3?
I'm saving up to get a new computer for Planet Coaster, but I am thinking of posting a RCT3 or RCT2 video.
+Theme Park Crazy Same.
I have Planet Coaster but my pc can't run it.
i.love.boulder dash
I will put wild cat on 5
I went on wooden ride :/
I LOVE WILDCAT!!
Wildcat keeps getting worse, I've been riding it for years now. They did some maintenance a year or two ago, still shakes the hell out of you.
Yes, the retraints on Phobia Phear are so freeing after Tempesto!
Rmc's wildcat
No, El Toro deserves the golden ticket award
I agree. At the time of making this video, I hadn't ridden El Toro yet. However, now that I've ridden it, I can safely say that it is amazing enough to get the number one wooden coaster spot.
Car 528 but that's not how the critics feel 😉
MY CHILDHOOD 😭😭😭
100th comment
Every time i go wild cat is always closed :(
They revamped wild cat and it is awesome
lol u got ur wish
I like your voice and you, would subscribe if I was actively interested in theme parks. Okay I'm going to anyway
Boulder dash I shaking alot too
Have you ridden El toro?
Unfortunately, I have not. I haven't been to SFGA since 2005, a year before they got it. However, I'm going there on September 10th and am very excited for it.
+Theme Park Crazy it's my number 1 wooden by a mile.
I'd also love to check out The Voyage at Holiday World, Phoenix at Knoebels and Lightning Rod at Dollywood. Though I'd probably have to wait a while for the latter one to work properly.
+Theme Park Crazy I want to go there too but it's so far away from CT.
CoasterMagicX2 he actually hasn't rid el torro, but he has now and he commented he liked it more than boulder dash
