I don't see many people mention it, but thank you so much for putting in the effort to provide accurate captions. I appreciate it! Even though I'm not hearing impaired, I always have subtitles on, because I process better when I see the words. The auto-generated subtitles on other channels are maybe better than nothing, but are often so wrong they're useless.
Thank you again for putting in that extra effort 😊

As a Wisconsin native and friend of the Merricks (owners of Little Amerricka) it was absolutely SURREAL to see the Swiss Toboggan featured here. This amusement park is chock full of bizarre retro rides you won't find anywhere else these days. I remember loving to ride this multiple times in a day as a kid but now as an adult I wouldn't touch it. Awful, claustrophobic design and the cart always feels like it's going to fly off the tracks on those end bumps.

Morals of the story. Don't let RCCA or Togo build your coaster, make the transitions smooth, don't use shoulder restraints, riders are better off sitting down, don't make the coaster car a cage, and strangest of all don't make a Green Lantern roller coaster since two of the three that exist are on this list.

This is the first list I have ever seen that didn't go in that direction. Only Ninja popped up, which makes me believe that more enthusiasts are beginning to appreciate (or at least forgive) the unique fun that can be had on some classic old steel coasters. I love coasters, and so I'm sad that I've "aged out" of riding the extreme ones. There's a reason why you don't see many grannies and grampies on coasters, so I enjoyed your video A LOT, reliving the pain, er, fun. Your comments are hilarious; I was either laughing or cringing through your list. Back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, my husband and I rode all the extreme coasters here in Southern California. We learned to avoid some of the over-the-shoulder harness ones. His back would scream at him, but he had it easy. I'm a shorty, blessed/cursed (take your pick) with big b**bs, so my rides were especially eventful as my entire head was flung left and right into the restraints and my b**bs were flung up and down. No sports bra could withstand the challenge. I'd get off those rides feeling like a Rubic's cube that needed to be solved. Wish I could be that Rubic's cube again for a day or two. Thanks again for the great content!

Hopefully they can fix it in the coming offseason and maybe even try and give it new and improved trains, but for this coaster to be a total flop after having so much excitement surround it (and also being delayed) would be a disaster for the park.

One of them suggested we pull the shoulder restraints down on her friend after launch. We succeeded too well. The bottom of the restraint dug deep into her gut, and every bump made her grunt. At the end, it knocked so much air out of her she couldn't say no and we got 3 re-rides in. Once we got off the ride, she pulled up her shirt, and her stomach was red from riding it. Im 42 and my fav coaster ever was The Mantis at Cedar Point. A standup that was shutdown too. I understand why. Knowing how to ride it was key for it to be amazing or not suck.
You had to bend the knees and sag your weight about 2-4"s until the ride cart locked. Once you did, it was the greatest 90's sky surfing you could imagine. Smooth, comfortable, fun and intuitive. It gave you a lil feeling of control like a fake skateboard. Over and over.
    However....
If you did not adjust yourself while boarding, and stood up tall while being locked in, it would take your tailbone and manhood in a 4 minute process of unique torture. RIP Mantis, a Ferrari amongst Hyundais. 😔
The most known bruising coaster at Cedar pt through the 80s/90s was wooden The Mean Streak. Good luck to any knees over 6' and all necks snapped. Teenagers avoided it.

Its been several years since I’ve been to the park so I wasn’t as quite as I am now so never had an issue with hitting my head from what I can remember. Astroworld in Houston had one of those (#16) Toboggan coasters way back in like 1973-1974. It was called the Swamp Buggy or something like that, and I believe it was only there for two operating seasons. I was in elementary school back then and don’t remember all that much about it, other than that it looked TERRIFYING and I wanted to ride it!!!
I convinced my dad to take me on it and we both regretted our decisions. I think it threw my dad’s back out, and it left me really dizzy and motion sick. Back then, Astroworld only had two coasters, Dexter Freebish’s Electric Roller Ride, a very tame steel-tube coaster, and the Alpine Sleigh Ride, which was a much-tamer version of Disneyland’s Matterhorn. I mean MUCH tamer. It was as much a dark ride as it was a coaster, although it had a few small drops. The wooden Texas Cyclone coaster didn’t open for a few more years, so the Swamp Buggy was a failed attempt to put in a real thrill ride, I think. I have no idea why it was only there for such a short period, but I imagine it was because everyone who rode it hated it.
