It's unfortunate some of these skills fall off hard later, I think all of Nahobino's unique skills should've had additional effects to them such as Ruinous Thunder causing daze sometimes, Divine Arrowfall causing def + atk down one stage on all enemies, etc.

This is the first game in the series that has given me trouble choosing skills because I want them all. Like my build is a bunch of passives to make profaned land's dark and poison even stronger, which is the kind of build I usually do with some room for support and ailments but damn, I want all of these

There are some exceptions but it’s usually a last minute information sort of thing. Like how the SMT1 Hero and Heroine are revealed to be Adam and Eve during one of the penultimate boss fights and that’s it. Did explain Lilith’s stalking though.

@@randomisaac5959 Problem is that the tooltips are super misleading in this game. The damage values have been datamined already and skills like aramasa, that look good on paper, get outclassed pretty much instantly by other skills.

Sure, damagewise you can do better, but it has more chances for crits and it's way more mp efficient. Idk about you, but I'm more than willing to drop 5-15% damage to save on more than 50% mp while upping my chances for a press turn.
Kinda sucks there’s no duel wield move. Ever since that cutscene where your character fights with BOTH of his swords, I thought that there was a move that let you use both of them but I was really disappointed when there wasn’t 🥺😭
Revival Chant is my overall fav w/Murakumo being a close second (like a modified rasagen). I think the chant is the only un-skippable cutscene skill he has. My MC was basically a messiah so bringing teammates back from the dead fits perfectly👌🏾
Actually in interviews with Koei, they did a poll in japan for what franchise should get the next Warriors type game, and SMT actually beat persona. But they just chose persona anyway. The fact its not even the whole persona series makes me dislike that game. I'd love it if it was every mainline smt and every mainline persona together, that would be awesome.

That's pretty much what I did when I played through the game, only using his personal skills. At the end of the game I had Ruinous Thunder, Divine Arrowfall, Miracle Water (this was my primary healing move for the entire game followed by Media that I put on Jack Frost as back up) and Murakumo. The only active skill I had on him that wasn't a unique one was Tarunda.
The first time I saw Murakumo I wanted to cry it was so beautiful!😭 Im gonna catch alot slack from SMT fans for this but I wish they just worked on the story a bit more… Wasn’t terrible but it wasnt very compelling either…
No slack given. The concept of gods on a rat race to find the human holding their knowledge to become whole again is awesome. Really wish it had more human-like forms and characters to merge.

I agree and felt like this since i unlocked is first unique skill. Magic build is still ok overall but only a handfull of his skills are usable. Phy build is way better and i switched to it when i was lvl 20ish. Even in nocturne phy build is almost a must agaisnt some end game bosses. Wish they could give us a 50/50 between those 2 builds to let ppl free and enjoying some cool animation for those 2 builds.

Went for an almighty build with some thunder and wind piercing skills and I used essences to make the nahobino immune to literally all types of damage except almighty of course
I think both the Japanese and English stand side by side. On one hand, I like how deep and threatening the Japanese sounds, while I think the English matches Nahobino's appearance more. Think the only delivery I didn't like was Ruinous Thunder.
It really makes me feel bad that I have to let go of such a cool skill in favour of one that is more stronger tho personally don't find it as flashy compared to the older skills.
it's more due to the fact that magic literally doesn't get any love in terms of unique skills. If u want any kind of Magic potency by the end of the game, u can only do that via Piercing Magic and they cost A LOT more compared to Murakumo, which is all mighty, can still CRIT and has increased damage on CRIT. Also really weird you only get like Thunder / Ice / Ailments but no other element... i mean i guess u got one of the best support skills in the game... but again ... not worth it considering u can nuke bosses with a good Physical build
Two years late, but it makes sense to me that, as the sort of opposite to the Demi-fiend, Aogami would get opposite skills. Demi-fiend gets Tornado and Magma Axis for his big skills, Gun-type skills for his unique physical attacks, and uses Mute, Bind and Panic for his ailments. Aogami has Ruinous Thunder and Thallasic Calamity for his big skills, Sword-type physical skills, and uses Haze, Sleep, and Poison for his ailments. Chaos Man and Law Man are opposites in every way.

Well, if it’s on Switch then it’s also on PC by default. Based on how long it took them to bring Nocturne, though, I wouldn’t hope too much for a multi-platform release anytime soon.
Here’s a challenge run for you- beat the game on the True Neutral run (I think that’s the TDE equivalent?) with only these skills on Nahobino. You can decide whether or not to change affinities (think of it as an extra difficulty level if you decide not to), but the only skills you can use are the Nahobino unique ones (and maybe Demi-Fiend’s too if you decide to fight him)
Sure, some of these are strong, but it can be a while between Aogami essences, meaning your options are gonna be limited and you’ll be relying on your party a lot.
Interesting that he only has a certain amount of coverage... Like, sure, he has things like Almighty covered, but most of his abilities are either Dark or Physical, with only one Lightning and Ice ability. Just kinda thought that was weird and interesting.

I never replaced any of the ones I had honestly. Used em all the way up until end game. Didn't fight Demi-Fiend tho

If u want any kind of Magic potency by the end of the game, u can only do that via Piercing Magic and they cost A LOT more compared to Murakumo, which is all mighty, can still CRIT and has increased damage on CRIT. Also really weird you only get like Thunder / Ice / Ailments but no other element... i mean i guess u got one of the best support skills in the game... but again ... not worth it considering u can nuke bosses with a good Physical build
Two years late, but it makes sense to me that, as the sort of opposite to the Demi-fiend, Aogami would get opposite skills. Demi-fiend gets Tornado and Magma Axis for his big skills, Gun-type skills for his unique physical attacks, and uses Mute, Bind and Panic for his ailments. Aogami has Ruinous Thunder and Thallasic Calamity for his big skills, Sword-type physical skills, and uses Haze, Sleep, and Poison for his ailments.
Chaos Man and Law Man are opposites in every way.

Love the animations, but they need more impact. More oomph. Especially TC. Dude summons the ocean, but hits you with the wake. Looked more fun than painful, really.
I think it's the sound effects. They sound super meaty in Nocturne, it's super quiet in this game

I think it is the aogami type 9 essence, located at the center of the shinbazu pond at taito, they are fill with ambushing sui Ki

Here’s a challenge run for you- beat the game on the True Neutral run (I think that’s the TDE equivalent?) with only these skills on Nahobino. You can decide whether or not to change affinities (think of it as an extra difficulty level if you decide not to), but the only skills you can use are the Nahobino unique ones (and maybe Demi-Fiend’s too if you decide to fight him)
Sure, some of these are strong, but it can be a while between Aogami essences, meaning your options are gonna be limited and you’ll be relying on your party a lot.
Interesting that he only has a certain amount of coverage... Like, sure, he has things like Almighty covered, but most of his abilities are either Dark or Physical, with only one Lightning and Ice ability.
Just kinda thought that was weird and interesting.

@@mistahjenkins4826 Well the dark skills are related to his malevolent aspects, probably. Susanoo had some myths in which he threw a fit whenever things didn’t go his way. His Almighty and Physical skills are references to his various deeds and myths, like Murakumo being a reference a sword.

Yes it's a free dlc in the Nintendo E-shop, in the main menu of the game You can select them under the options tab if you want English or Japanese Voices.
It does, but you have to sacrifice 3.6 gb to install it which kind of sucks.
