I love how once you defeat him, he doesn't even ask or object when you make him a part of your party. He's just like "👍" on the inside and then you grab him like a goober.
That's probably because he sees the Nahabino as someone worthy of his time. Dude's last appearance in a different game was treating everyone like scrubs and just kind of going off after afterwards. In here, he thinks that the long-haired guy is worthy of his time and just kind of joins him because he's earnt his respect.

They aren’t kidding on scrub part because Demi using only mid game moves + Gaea Rage as instant game over
And to be fair, Demi had his fair share of goobering guest characters into his party.
Last game he appeared in was the smt4 apoc dlc. He still treats everyone like a scrub there though, a lot more cocky. Seems to have mellowed out after his ending and just let his gf do the talking here though

Had a situation where I complimented a demon once, and they attacked me, but the next turn i talked to them again and they tried to ignore me. I spammed getting their attention like 4 times and they basically went "OK FINE I'LL JOIN YOU IF YOU STOP".

I love how the Pixie dialogues imply that, despite being one of the most powerful characters in the multiverse, the Demi-fiend still struggles with Demon Negotiation like any other SMT protagonist would.

Demifiend has become Demifriend
More like a companion that earned his respect, since it is said that he disrespects the weak.
With the Nahobino showing that he is capable of keeping up with him through combat, he has seen him as a respected individual and partner for the unseen future.
It seems that despite becoming a “True Demon”, his original human self is still a part of him.
He always has been :) he can befriend everyone

I just realised he's wearing a pair of sneakers, the contrast is quite funny when you consider most demons are wearing stuffs from mythologies
When you remember demifiend is just a human who got a parasite like creature I forgot the name of to compete in a massive war to decide the fate of the world, and be the deciding factor on what dominated the world, the plot is really no different between five and three.
Though looks like they leaned to his chaos ending considering it implies he is the bane of god itself.
Which would mean if he was tied more to the story, then Lucifer aka Satan would have mentioned him likely being the deciding factor on satan taking the throne in the SMTV plot line.
Which a fun semi direct connection that SMTV likely is set after nocturne in direct continuity itself.
Indeed. Demi Fiend is a man, a myth, and a legend. The True Demon Ending is well worth the investment in SMT 3.

I mean his earth was sent to ruin and the timeline he’s in is ancient history so you could say that Tokyo is now but a myth to him now.

So what I learned is that Demi-Fiend is so jacked up as a boss that once he joins, he's just as jacked up when you fought him... Well damn Atlus... Demi-Fiend is just as strong as he was back in SMT 3 Nocturne. Pretty lore accurate right there.

He literally is the epitome of the Sigma Grindset. The punches don't stop, ever. The weak are constantly beaten into submission and forced friendship. To the Demi-Fiend there is no "leg day" or "arm day", there is only "casual walk wherever the fuck I want day with the usual shit happening".

The idea that the Demifiend is still just kind of a Goober is the best revelation in this series.
He is the defacto KING OF CHAOS and he still messes up demon negotiation from time to time.

It Is NEVER stated that Demifiend lost the battle against YHVH Up until Canon of Vengeance released, it's been left ambiguous. Lucifer's demon haunt confirms that they were victorious and the demifiend we see in SMT Imagine is canon.

@@ZeroOmega-vg8nq That was exclusive event for SMTIV Apocalypse. In that event, all of the messiahs were destined to fail until Nanashi came to help, not just Demi-Fiend. So, it's unrelated to canon unless you want to count amala network concept with it

Demi-Fiend is the Atlus' equivalent of Kazuma Kiryu.
The player sees him, they automatically knows they have a badass right in front of him.
Bro... I named my protag in both SMT Nocturne and SMT V vengeance Kiryu Kazuma... as an homage to Dragon of Dojima. Funny seeing someone else relating badass characters to Kiryu 😂
If they really are going to retire kiryu, it would be so funny to make him a bonus boss in a future SMT game

I love how the game acknowledges the similarities between the Demi fiend and the nahobino with that one comment from pixie about how Demi fiend went from human to demon , and Nahobino went from Human to god, which is why i literally just refer to the Nahobino as " the demi-god" . This is also seen in one of the trailers Atlus west put out for SMTVV stating something along the lines of "Play Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance and take the role of a powerful Demi God". Pretty cool stuff indeed. Despite SMTV's flaws back then i still loved it , now , I cherrish it a lot more than I did before. Great game no doubt.

He wasn't the only one that cared, but seeing as you can use both types of unique moves as either form it does make a little sense to have both blade styles in both forms. Still bothers the hell out of me tho.

Secret boss rewards should always be a power trip to have massive fun.
I’m sick and tired of games that make it a tedious farm and the rewards are simply a barely better farming spot for stuff you could previously get or stuff that just automatically can one shot you at what May or may not be a marginally small increase of damage for you.

I hope in future SMT titles you get the option to recruit previous SMT characters(whether they be messaihs or other equally strong/intresting chracters) as guest party members. SMT 4 Apocolpyse kind of did this with that specail mission for Steven. More of that.

I like the idea of Demi Fiend being not chatty. Imagine dying in the apocalypse, revived and demonified against your will, only to see there are no more humans, an inverted world overrun by demons, and the only humans who survived and you treasure ended up looking at you as mere tools to manifest, and/or threat, to their ideals.
Adding in to the fact you are literally chased by physical manifestation of Deaths and having only demons to converse with, his slowly deteriorating humanity and ascension to nahobino equivalent of being a complete god, made him apathetic to anything but his own cause
Concerning his Magatsuhi Skill; Random Magatsuhi Enemies can randomly have Big Bang as an attack. Cue getting hit by an attack dealing 800+ Damage in the area on Canon of Creation...

1:09 ... yeah, I don't care if it's true or not (most likely you're telling the truth), because the reason of the video starts at 1:43, you really did it fast, not to mention that shows how one who's very used to the SMT games can make these type of things possible, I'm glad that I got the game (on Xbox, I have to give my Xbox One some love here and there you know), I have to admit that having a very challenging game is nice for a change for me when it comes in the RPG department... if you know what I mean.

Wait I just realized, is there any notable change when bringing him to that one Black Frost Quest? (The same one who appeared in Nocturne)
The Black Frost quest only happens in CoC where you can’t recruit him because guests are a CoV exclusive.
Remember, in DDS 1, he hijacked the battle theme to his normal encounter theme because you didn't seem to be a threat. You get a remix here, which makes it seem like he's actually taking this fight seriously. My head canon anyway.

Unless you can keep him or skip the fiends to directly re-recruit him in ng+, but i doubt it

It's just for the novelty and personal satisfaction. It's kinda like some games where if you beat the game on hard, you'll unlock infinite ammo for your guns. You don't need it since you beat the game on hard without it, but it's just a 'go ahead you earned your fun'.

@@Hello_There57if he has charge the fight would be easier as he'd lose a skill slot and waste press turns charging and attacking instead of just attacking twice (charge only gives a 1.8x boost in SMTV).

It sucks that Nocturne went out of its ways to shake things up through Reasons but Atlus still chose to pick TDE as the absolute canon because of fanservice.... and even in the fanservice context it makes no sense because the TDE Demifiend would want to destroy existence as Lucifer's little bitc--- I mean, puppet instead of allying with whatever protag you play as (Nanashi, Nahobino, etc).
Thi is non-canon anyway (only very few things are canon in this series), but it still bothers me. They could've easily picked a Demifiend that hasn't gotten any ending yet instead of propagating more TDE wankery. They could have even let you choose a flavor of Demifiend so the nature of Nocturne's story could be reflected properly. But nooo let's make him Luci's DDLG slave.

Since this demifiend is clearly from SMT III nocturne’s chaos ending, it can be implied that demifiend decided to be bored and go suplex satan after he helped Satan to take down god back in the SMT3 nocturne chaos ending route.
Which makes sense considering how utterly annoyed he be after how much crap he went thru of getting demolished in nocturne with how many bosses pull a lot of BS on him back in the day.

SMT VI you fight the fiends again only to find the Nahobino instead
Halfway through the fight Demi fiend interrupts and you have to take both Nahobino with his uber pixie and Demifiend with his uber pixie.
They just stand there....not saying anything.
If you actually beat Demi Fiend to get him, there's no way you'll lose anyway (even without him). He's the absolute strongest creature you're gonna fight in this game and if you beat him, you're not losing to anyone ever again
