At 65 yrs old, i have been IF since i was in my teens before it even had a name and was frowned upon. I was told by nutritionists to eat breakfast and tried forcing myseslf. So i do it because i don't like breakfast and never hungry until 1 or 2pm after all my workouts. So i was relieved several years ago when it had a name and was beneficial. My window is usually around 2pm after my hot yoga until around 6 or 6:30. Works for me!

I have been intermittent fasting for over 6 years. 16 hour fast and 8 hour food though most days I go up to 18 hour fast just naturally. It comes natural after a time. I am very glad to find out here that the stevia in my coffee and tea may be a problem with insulin as I am still struggling with blood sugar issues. I have been able to maintain weight but at a high level (lost 50 lbs over 12 years ago but then got stuck). Dropping weight has been hard and my blood sugar remains high.

Hello, I've be doing carnivore, keto and have gained a lot of weight. I have been diagnosed with t2d. No medicine, chose to try fasting to see if I can drop the pounds with this approach. I was told by doctor to stay away from fruits and veggies 🤔

Ellen G White, profet of the Seventh day Adventist said "Never put a morsel of food in your mouth between meals." she also said that you should eat the largest meal of the day in the morning when your digestion is best and that there should be at least 4-5 hours between meals and preferably to only have 2 meals per day. And if you have a third meal that it should be a light meal at least 4 hours before bedtime because your body shouldnt be digesting during sleep it should be cleaning up the body! This was written more than 100 years ago.

The interview seems odd - she recommends a low-carb diet at the start of her fasting regimes.

I have heard where she says only herbs with a bitter profile. I believe chamomile has a bitter profile. I like oregano, for some different health issues I have.
