I have a 2017 Giulia.....one of the first Ti models to hit the States. I'm now at 35,000 miles and no issues whatsoever. Just a great, reliable fun car that doesn't look or feel like anything else. Worth the risk? Hell yes!
Thanks Ross for sharing that input! I really appreciate you watching!
Would you really expect any issues at 35,000 miles?
@@zolikoff With an Alfa? Based on their history? YES! I have owned several since the 70s and their history of reliabilty (lack thereof) is well earned. But the Giulia is proving to be trouble free after nearly 2 years....which is saying a lot!
At 51,000 miles in my MY17 Giulia Sport. Basically no issues. Freeway rocket.
I have a Quadrifolgio, 15000 miles in and zero problems. It’s an amazing car, the handling (dry only), acceleration and performance is incredible. Would I buy again? YES!
"But why don't we go ahead and pop the hood and see what type of Italian pasta we're working with"
lmao
I am glad that I can share the laughs with you!
I’m Italian and I find this funny, but also how if other races were to be made fun of, a lot wouldn’t like it. Italians are friendly and know how to take jokes!
The first Ferrari car is an an Alfa Romeo. Enzo just put his shield on it removing the cloverleaf. This is how special Alfas are. It has been a people’s Ferrari.
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
There was a race driver for AR . His name, ENZO FERRARI,!!!
Ireland. 2019 Giulia SuperSport 2.0 petrol in Vulcano Black with red leather interior, grey Matt alloys and red calipers. One word....awesome. 2,000 miles done. Love It!! Super quiet when u want, goes like a beast when u want. Aluminium paddle shifters are the best and agree .. downshift blips sound great. Turn in is super quick. Road manners incredible. Quality of ride is superb. They really nailed this one.
My compliments!

My only negative is my wife usually screams too much when I'm driving this car! (2018 Ti Lusso)
That is awesome!
I’ve owned a 147 and a Giulietta in the past and would love to get the Stelvio in the future. Currently own an Audi A4 2.0 TDI S-Line Black Edition, it ‘s a great car, but you don’t fall in love with it like you do with an Alfa.
"What's your car do in 0-60?"
"Idk, but the trunk opens 0-60 in less than a second"
I'm on my forth Alfa right now..a Mito Multiair Turbo and I'l be with Alfa til the end now..had BMW..had Mercedes..had Audi..but nothing beats the feel of an Alfa Romeo!🍀 Great video and keep up the good work!👍
Thank you for actually knowing the history of the badge, as an Italian and alfa fan it pisses me off when people get the story wrong, great video

@@tommydo961 yeah keep telling yourself that😂😂😂
@@tommydo961 Everyone's view differs. I had 1980 Ferrari 308 GTB bought new. Great styling and sound and handling. Smog gear strangled the engine to 205 horsepower. Added air conditioning that worked like crap but needed with the big windshield cooking you in the sun. Did I mind the negatives? Not in the least. Wish I still had it.

This is an amazing review. I look at these everytime I get my oil changed at Fiat in Las Vegas. This or the Stelvio will be my next vehicle from my 500X.
I want one bc they arent very common on the streets I'm trading my challenger in for one...everyone and the grandad has a charger or challenger these days
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
I'm with you on that one. I'm looking to trade in my '08 Charger R/T that has given me 7 years of flawless performance. But the transmission is starting to go and is not worth fixing (it's a Mercedes transmission, 2008 was the one year the Chargers were made with half German parts). Fell in love with the Giulia the second I laid eyes on it at the NY Auto Show.

Answer the questions!
No risk at all. Great car all around !
Alfa Romeo is beautiful and a very original car. Handles amazing and is more fun to drive that the competitors!
I have few friends who bought Alfa's in recent years and no problems so far.
I think the plastic german cars like Audi and BMW is more of the risk these days.
Thanks for sharing your input from your own experience!
No more of a risk than a BMW or Audi, or anything else for that matter. Buy one and start enjoying it!
I can't argue with that!
car and driver says otherwise
Except there are almost no dealerships and you can get a Chrysler as a loaner
yep
Actually, I disagree.
I will be very surprised to find a Giulia as problematic as the other two, especially Audi.
Between you and Redline Reviews; the most informative and entertaining. Redline reviewed the Quad, but not the TI. I appreciate you both. 💯
So glad you got to drive this one Joe. I'd guess it'll rev a little more freely once the engine's been properly run in, after a few thousand kays. I can see you in a Quadrifoglio Joe; I reckon you'd love it mate :)
I am patiently waiting for the Quadrifoglio review!
*Alfa Romeo built perfect cars .. beautiful exterior design, interior, fuel economy, performance. I love Alfa so much .
I am so glad that I could share this Alfa with you!
Well. I wouldn’t go as far with the economy. But that’s not important for Alfa owners.
That 0-60 is way off IME. I've never been slower than 5.3 in that car. Anyway, this channel is becoming my go-to for reviews. Good stuff!
Been looking at one at the Wesley Chapel location. Very good video!
Very insightful, informative and entertaining as always!
Thanks for always watching!
Great review Joe... I know you love your Subaru but this car screams JOE RAITI. If I absolutely had to have a sedan, I would get one of these used with less than 20,000 miles for a good price. Beautiful car and I loved those paddle shifters. I believe all paddles should be positioned on the steering column and not the wheel. :)
Thanks Jason for saying that! I really appreciate your support!
Even though I cannot afford a lot of these cars you review, I appreciate your reviews big time. I'm a car lover at heart, and you give so much detail when you do what you do, and car guys (and gals) really do love cars that we sometimes could neither afford, nor actually really want for ourselves. Now this Giulia, its a car I could figure out how to afford, and would likely want if I weren't such a "Mustang Man". I love the wheels on this Alfa, reminds me (forgive me for comparing this to a Ford) of the snowflakes on the Focus and Fiesta ST. although these wheels are much nicer of course. Nice job man!
That really means a lot and that was my whole purpose of starting the channel!
35000kms. Love the steering, the gearbox, the handling - Perfetto
Think we can agree this is the best Sports Sedan
Well.....;-)
Love this car and love the video. Thanks.
You didn’t elaborate on the risk factor though. Thought you would since it’s in the title.
It all boils down to overall reliability of this car.
What risk ? I drive Alfa for 20 years and I’m in love. People who speaking that are unreliable they never have Alfa Romeo. And giulia is the best driving car it is masterpiece.
Thanks for you input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
My father drove a 164 for 6 years in the late 90s early 2000s, it did broke, a lot, specially electrical equipment, nowadays I'm sure they are far more reliable, but reliability perception takes a long time to built.
Pedro Thevenard alfa 164 is not alfa giulia
@@100898050 it was a much more premium car than a Giulia back them, but yes it isn't the Giulia, but Alfas reputation was built on cars like the 164 and nowadays their sales and position in the world market is a direct reflections of cars like the 164, beautiful, fun, and unreliable as fuck, i loved the 164, but it will take Alfa many many reliable cars to allow me consider buying one, and that's the case of almost every person I know that even heard of Alfa.
My ALFA ROMEO GT JTD 15 YEARS OLD 210.000 KM NEVER HAD PROBLEMS 😎
Now that’s what I call a proper review
HAHAHAH that 0-60 on a truck release time was a funny little gag hahaha. Love it.
What risk? It has been very reliable and is the best sedan when it comes to handling.

After seeing this review I fell in love with it again.
Thanks for saying such nice things! I appreciate your support!
A one amazing sedan for me to drive one day.
Awesome job with your videos anyway friend!
I just helped my dad pick out a new car and he ended up with a Giulia Lusso with a pretty similar color combo to this, Vesuvio grey with the red leather interior. Really cool thing about Lusso is that the dash you weren't so sure about is covered by stitched leather, something that blows me away because that kind of thing is a crazy expensive option on 75k+ M3s and Porsches. He got an insane deal on a leftover new '18 as well, around 35k for a car with a sticker price of almost 50k. I really dig it myself, I love my Fiesta ST but man, I'm seeing 300/mo lease deals on Giulias and it's hard to resist getting one of my own as well.
I just bought a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti SPORT and I love it so far.

You’re videos are PERFECT honestly I just dislike one thing, one simple thing.
When you mentioned the “24 hp” it’ll be better if you added the car picture. ( So if you could add the car Pictures in your next videos They’ll be cooler) Overall you’re videos are great. 💯
I just bought one a couple days ago and drove it 1,200 miles home from Dallas to Florida. Fell in love with the car immediately. Funny thing is, the Giulia I got was actually Motortrend's test vehicle that they drove for a long-term review and featured in one of their magazines.
So if you guys have Motortrend's August 2019 issue, turn to page 66 and that is my car lmao
You should do some RUclips reviews on your alpha Romeo I'd like to know what it's like to own a former Motor Trend car and how it's working out for you, I know MotorTrend had high praise for this car.
@@RC-ms3fp I might do a video or two. MotorTrend did take very good care of the car because the condition is outstanding for a used vehicle. It does have the odd rock chip here and there on the front end, but there are no dents or damage anywhere, no curb rash on the wheels. The interior is flawless.
You can definitely tell that MotorTrend drove it with much care.
Am not really a fan of black wheels, but in the Stromboli Grey with the red calipers
.......Gorgeous
Love the red interior also

Lovely car, America does not get the manual unfortunately.
If Alfa finally gets their reliabilty top notch, they would be a major player in America.
It's the best car in its class wish people would get over reliability issues of Alfa's of old , new Alfa's are reliable end of story have been for the last 10 years . In my experience VW are very unreliable cars these days but no body goes on about that ever 🤔
Very good points Ross!
True!
Ross Morgan YES VWVEEY UNRELIABLE. I’m stuck with my 2017 vw Passat 1.8 liter it is falling apart internally. The computer systems always fucking up. I’m so sick of VW. Been a customer for over 10 years. Will not be anymore
Ross Morgan mine had no sealant on the chassis and leaked. The clutch went at 40k. The exhaust at 50k, and they’re worth 5p after a few years. Yes I loved it, but I never bought another. Every service cost a fortune in bits that were falling off and the dealers are crap. I still loved it, but sadly this, their best car in ages looks like a German and is already beginning to lag behind the constant updates other manufacturers put out.

"Never a dull moment on Raiti's ride". yep, true true :)
I'm 76 yr old. I love my 2017 Giulia Base in Rosso Red (OMG, it is gorgeous). The very best sports sedan I have ever driven, period. Amazing gas mileage when driven like an old lady (1900 rpm's at 72mph) and 8 speed very sofisticated transmission with paddle shifters, 149 mph. Goes like a bat out of hell in Dynamic trans mode, or manual mode with the AWD (don't settle for 2WD). AWD is amazing in snow with regular tires and 0.6 seconds faster to 60mph than 2WD. Performance, suspension, handling, cornering is more like a sport car than a sedan. Take it for a test drive (a must). I use any excuse to take it for a spin. My wife loves that I am so happy. To me the biggest risk is whether the brand will stick around in North America or not. The relaunch of the brand here has not been a runaway success. The dealer network is spotty and unlikely to get better. Some are paired with Maserati and others are paired with Chrysler/jeep dealers. Definitely something to lease rather than buy. I enjoyed my Giulia while I had it. It was also super reliable. Excellent driver's car. The interior let it down. Went back to BMW when my lease ended. Will consider Alfa in the future though assuming they stick around.
That is an excellent point!
