@@CarVisionLA OF COURSE DAWG !!! GERMAN CARS ARE OVER RATED !!! EVERYONE'S DRINKING THE GERMAN KOOL AID....BEWARE !!! HANS AND FRANZ ARE POURING !!!! FORZA ALFA BABY !!!!! THE KING IS BACK !!!!
Great notes. As far as the exhaust goes, consider this: I don’t want a loud exhaust on my daily driver, save that for the bikes and old cars. I dont want to attract cops and annoy my neighbors. I just want to drive quietly and quickly (ehh, sometimes very quickly) without attracting attention. Aftermarket exhaust is probably the biggest waste of money if looking for increased performance. (Unless a project car, and then better to just buy a Quad) High quality summer tires are the absolute most bang for your buck, and then maybe a mild tune. Anything more, and just buy a (again) a Quad. At the end of the day, you’ll be dollars (and smiles) ahead.
Tbh I just drove a 200hp 2020 giulia with stock exhaust. It's so relaxing unless I rev up to redline where it would sound just perfect. I'm from Denmark though and the model might be slightly different. I just wanted to say that this car is both gentle and a Ferrari when it wants to.
Except a fully kitted out QV from factory is 2x the price with significantly higher maintenance, I'm running 4.84s 0-60 with just a catless exhaust & intake added ($3.2k total). going to be adding a Squadra hybrid turbo w tune for $4k which should bring the car to around to 380-390hp under the correct conditions, total price of my car would be $40k after everything which is way more obtainable for the average person than a QV + i get AWD for winter & am saving up for a used QV for the warmer months. but $40k for a 2.0 Giulia that theoretically should be running low 4s 0-60 isn't bad at all
I have the same color misano blue ti sport fully loaded black wheels hello brand white and black two toned interior and blue wing on the back. Mine was $57,000. I absolutely love it. I get compliments almost daily on mine. Literally
I leased a 2017 Giulia (which I just traded in a few months ago right before the lease was up). I agree with: Panic button - way too sensitive; Turn signals - definitely take some getting use to; Backup camera - poor quality, low resolution, almost useless. I didn't have a problem with my tires, mine came with Pirelli P7 Cinturato's and had awesome grip and handling. My particular car was somewhat of a lemon though. Over the 3 yr period, it was in and out of the shop for mechanical / computer problems many, many times. It spent a total of about 3 1/2 months time in the shop. Way too much for a new car which by the end of the lease only had 15K miles on it. The mechanic at the dealership even told me my car was an outlier and other owners didn't have as many issues as I had. But he told me that later models such as the 2018's and 2019's were much improved and didn't have any of the problems I had. Otherwise when the car worked, I absolutely loved driving it. I would even consider going back to a Giulia in the future. I loved the look and feel of it, how it handled the road, the ability to carve corners, the power delivery and shifts were smooth. Mine was red with red interior.
Wow, red on red is such a nice color! The 2017s I think had the most reliability issues because they were the first model year and the manufacturers are still working out flaws. They able to spot and fix them in subsequent iterations.
@@P51DFreak25 100% Go for it, 1st off it's a very attractive looking car, 2nd off has ALOT less maintenece issues then german competitors and it looks like a 120k+ car for under 35k!
Just purchased a 2019..love the car... the items listed here are spot on. As it does have some quarks... I wish it had a way to simply keep the butterfly valves open as on cold start. That would be enough for me. One design option I absolutely love - is how you can pull the wiper blade arms - simultaneously, allowing you to properly clean the windshield. As there is nothing more annoying that having to battle with wiper arms when cleaning. Another complaint I do have, is how the camber provides a very steering fell when turning. I do realize it is designed to provide the quick response in steering (which I love) - but when turning the wheels - it chops, and it just feels odd. Almost similar to when you would turn an old school 4x4 full size truck with manual front lock outs and the CV joints would bind. Moreover, I wish the alarm had a nice chirp vs., the horn blaring... And my final complaint is how low the front diffuser is. It looks fantastic, but the curve(s) on the edge will rub... I have installed skid plates to protect it. But without lowering the car, I am very surprised that the front lower lip scraps as much as it does. As I am an extremely careful driver that knows how to cradle crawl a sharp incline / decline as well as speed bumps. Nothing is perfect...perse.... and this car has such great styling and handling - that the goofiness - is easily overlooked.
I don't care if there is this or that small practicality or some sort of rationality that does not work with Alfa. Once I started buying cars that feel good to me, the path of true satisfaction opened. We have had Peogeot, Honda, Ford, four Volkswagens and two Alfas. Reliability wise the Alfas are leading with two VWs and Honda on tie. Emotional satisfaction comes from Alfas by far, but I admit enjoying VW Scirocco quite a bit :-)
Have the car for a week and my service pad warming sign is on.. it only has 16k miles 2018.. I have an appointment this Saturday.. plus done like the fuel system.. the fuel keep going up and down telling me different umber miles left in my tank
You mention the indicator lights bother you. It may well be that the USA versions are different than mine, in Europe/TheNetherlands. As in the Dutch owner manual, slightly pushing the indicator handle up of down will activate the so called "lane change". The indicator lights will flash 3 times left or right and then stop flashing! No need to just slightly push them in the oposite direction to stop earlier, just be patient. If this is different in the US versions it is surely possible to have your dealer change this to the European way unless there is a motoring law in the US preventing this. Else, as often RTFM. 😎
Three flashes isn’t enough for 200ft. We have to keep the turn signal on for a while before being able to switch lanes. Cant just go on the second nor third flash
I agree with the complaint about the turn signals. Very annoying. The others don't bother me, but what does is: 1) the A/C vent placement - the A/C vents are in an awkward place that can't direct air to your face. If you try to aim at your face, the air is blocked by your arms. 2) lack of space in the cabin. - granted this car is a little smaller than my previous Nissan Maxima, but the Maxima had WAY more room in the center console, the glove box and just overall room in the car. The Alfa seems very cramped yet it is not a tiny car on the outside. 3) The automatic door unlock feature is WAY too sensitive. I like that the doors will unlike if I just put my hand in the handle, but I have also had the doors unlock while washing the car. Apparently just touching the door with a sponge without even touching the door handle will trigger the unlock feature. It must have happened at least 5 times while just trying to hand wash the car. 4) Poor throttle response at low speeds/from stop. I get that a 4 cyl. turbo is going to have some lag. And the overall power is pretty good, but acceleration is often terrible from a stop or low speed. Sometimes there seems to be a lag of a second or so before anything at all happens. Pulling out into traffic can be stressful when you stomp on the pedal and the car barely moves at all.
I used to have a BMW with turn signals just like that, and I got used to them pretty quick. Now I own a Quad and I'm having no problems with the turn signals - it's just a matter of getting used to them.
I have 2022 Giulia with Pirelli run flats and America's Tire pulled a screw out of the right front and repaired it yesterday. Guess it depends on the location. When it's time to replace them I'll get the P7's again but not run flats. I'm fine with exhaust note in the cabin and outside the car, I really don't care what it sounds like. The low res rear camera is actually better than the Honda Accord Sport the Alfa replaced...but I don't rely on it much anyway. Haven't had panic button issues with the key fob yet but sure did with the Honda. Turn signals took some getting used to but it make sense now. That lane maintaining button on the stalk is easy to engage accidentally and the warning volume is way too loud and not adjustable far as I can tell. Perhaps it works like the navigation and is controlled by the radio volume knob when the voice is speaking. Absolutely love the car, especially on the mountain roads where I learned to drive so many years ago.
I recently got a 2019 Stelvio Ti, same color and interior. I agree with most of this. I never had a backup camera before though so it's been fine enough for me on that. For the key fob, my main issue is the size of it.
I own a 2019 Giulia too. You can change those Japanese tires for Pirelli P-Zero summer tires. My car came with the staggered 19" wheels and P Zeros and it handles fantastic! And they are run flats, but they are really great tires. You can fit 255/40/18 on the back of your 18" wheels. I have done it on my 2017 Giulia, which I traded in on the 2019. I agree the backup camera sucks. As does the exhaust note. I also have set off my panic button. These are great cars, far better than anything I've owned from Audi, BMW and Mercedes before. (and I've owned a ton of cars). Keep enjoying your car but rush out to buy a set of P Zero Pirelli's. Italian car/Italian tires. The Michelin P4 are good, but they don't grip like the new P Zeros. They don't stop as good either.
@@CarVisionLA BTW...Alfa dealerships now sell OEM logo floor mats in either white or red lettering that say GIULIA on them for the front carpets. $120. Well worth it. They are factory fit and look terrific. If you get the Pirelli tires, you can use a tire ink pen (red) and color in the PIRELLI logo on the tires. That looks incredible as well. I located the small Italian flag badge that comes on the 2020 models, right behind the shifter. They are for sale on ETSY for $8 from Italy. I know a ton of this stuff to trick out your Giulia. :)
Thanks so much for telling me that!! I’ve been looking for that tiny Italian flag emblem for so long now! Would you mind pasting the link to that? I’m always looking to add more cosmetic upgrades to my car.
@@CarVisionLA Just go onto the ETSY website, type in Alfa Romeo italian flag and you'll find it. $8 bucks, but it looks like the real thing. Check the official FCA website to locate other upgrades for your car from the factory. Also, Ebay is full of carbon fiber trim pieces for these cars. I have my car really tricked out now. Rear carbon spoiler, front lip carbon spoiler, interior pieces and just recently added a carbon fiber diffuser below the bumper. I've spent about $1300 on trim pieces and upgrades so far. Also, go look at the Madness Auto website.....they have tons of really cool (but expensive) parts for your car. Good luck! Oh, one more ultra cool item....also on Etsy. Some guy invented a LED light that fits around the V grill on the car. It looks exceptionally cool at night. Its only $110 bucks and worth it. I simply didn't want to add it because I can't mess with the electrical wiring of my car. But you may feel like adding it.
I am Italian, I know our way of making cars very well. This is a car for people with culture, a sense of taste, not for monkeys who like low cars, wheels that come out of the body, black, black windows, black headlights, black rims and then drive the car with sandals and white socks, tattooed arms, the pit bull on a leash and the blond girl dressed in fuchsia! . Let's leave this crap to those who buy German cars.
I own the 2018 Giulia and I 100% agree that the turn signal stock is an annoying POS! I also agree that the exhaust sound could be improved but that is minor. What is really uncharacteristic for a sports sedan is the light steering and lack of feel. Also the steering wheel is too thin for a modern sports sedan. I used to own a 2001 BMW 3 series and it had a much meatier steering feel. It felt like I was riding on rails - very planted where I pointed. It felt substantial. Heck, my 2014 Mercedes CLA had better steering feel even though it was FWD! I don't have a problem with the rear view camera - hey, at least it has trajectory lines! 280 HP is just right for the price. Other than those, the Giulia is hands down the sexiest sedan out there!
I feel you bro . But you also need to understand that it’s a totally different system back then ( Hydraulic) and it was definitely more enjoyable. My first ever car was an Acura TL TYPE S , and the steering feel was so amazing , so heavy ( old school BMW type feel ) and it was amazing in twisties. My bad luck , I sold it , bought a 2020 Toyota and it was so fucking BAD . It felt useless, no feel , this new electric POWER STEERING thing had ruined everything
should have mentioned the terrible standard seats. No bolstering whatsoever. The key fob issue is real. It would go off just having it in my pocket if I was wearing jeans.
I saw one 2018 Giulia AWD with 42k miles with a price tag of a bit less than $23k. Want to test drive it and check it out. One thing that really stops me is the quality. The car is fresh at the moment, so there shouldn't be any major issue, but what about when it has more miles down the road?
I love the car. Just wanted to highlight some of its annoying characteristics, but if everything was 100% perfect, the car would have no personality lol
Excellent video!!!! Great info..I'm really interested in getting a n alpha myself...I've heard that you can't get an extended warranty for it.. does anyone know if that is true? Keep up the great work.
BMWs and several other European cars have the same turn signal function, and have for years. I personally don’t mind it and i think it is an elegant way of doing things.
On my 2019, it took me approximately 30 seconds to adjust to the turn signals, and the cruise control is equally sensitive between increase/decrease 1mph vs 5mph. I agree the rear camera could be better, but it's not a "hate" thing since this is the first car I've daily driven that even has a backup camera. I did find the decision to squish Android Auto down to half the screen to be an odd choice too, but again, I'm looking down the road more than at the screen, so I can't say I "hate" it.
I have a 2019 Stelvio with two packages (don't remember the package names) got the better audio/visual package and a better backup camera view. I think you're nitpicking on the exhaust and the turn signal. I like the sound of the exhaust. Yes, the turn signal is a little different, but it is because it incorporates a brief signal for lane changes.
I totally agree with the wheels and tires - Car is not handling well on RunFlat ones. I had the same setup, bought 19” wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and it is a blast to drive. I also reccomend to buy 9” wheels to the back with wider tire 255mm.
Thanks for the info, I have the PS4S’s on my other car and I love them so much! Definitely gonna get them on the Alfa. Which wheels did you go with? OEM or Aftermarket?
Hate? That's a bit strong, when you keep saying "I love this car", three times in the first minute ... Then "don't like" lol Anyway, you know you got the wrong one. I had the 156 Selepeed 2.0. I wanted the 3.2 GTA V6 Selespeed Mine sounded OK, but the other one sounded beautiful, drove like an animal and felt like a rocket. We buy what we can afford, and what is available at the time. The turn indicators are designed to be two stage: Press halfway down, it returns to mid and flashes 5 times. Press all the way down, stays on constantly, until press up half way. You should feel a slight click halfway up or down.
…the only a bit cheap feeling detail is the backup camera. With all the rest I don‘t agree. I‘ve now driven my Veloce for 11000 miles, and all your remaining issues don‘t really make sense to me. E.g. please spend some more thoughts on the turn signal issue. Actually it makes more sense than on other cars with the function logic you‘re asking for on the Giulia. I hated my indicator arm returning automatically when I didn‘t want it to on my BMW. And sorry, run flats make A LOT OF sense! Maybe the Bridgestones aren‘t the right pick for this agile and precisely performing Italian beauty, so it‘s up to you on your next choice. And I agree totally with you: THIS CAR IS A CLASS OF ITS OWN! Have fun with it and always a safe ride and travel!
I have the quadrifoglio model and we don't get the panic button here. I can find myself in you're pics. What I would add for me is you can't have a 360° camera. I don't want to scrape my lipspoiler but couldn't option a front camera. Small advice for you. when you would say "things i don't like" instead of "things i hate" owners wouldn't be offended as much.
The turn signal has a lane changing feature, pushing it lightly left or right activates it, it only stays on for 3 blinks, no need to cancel it, my 2012 Dodge Journey has the same thing, duh!
Nice job on your list. I agree my 2019 Gulia is amazing! #1 Exhaust sound, and #2 back-up camera suck. My #3 would be the start/stop system. It's terrible, works like a system from 2010, I've also plugged a run-flat and have the 5 Y-Spoke rims on my sport, the tires are pretty good, #4 cup holders only allow small cups. #5 Small trunk
I've been wondering if your Alfa's phone ringtone is also a weird sound. When the phone is connected to the car, the speakers play this crackling nightmare of a sound for me.
At time 9:12 the turn signal problem is indeed a head ache ! Can you believe this problem is the same exact thing on some of the Yamaha motorcycles with the signal lights .
So you would rather have a spare in the garage than the run flats?? How well will that work when you need to change the tire. I love the run flats!! Owned a Giulia and loved it a ton!! I now have the Stelvio AWD and also love it. The backup camera does suck compared to others but I tend to not rely on it so does not matter. The Run Flats might not be the best from a performance standpoint, but from a convenience standpoint, thats kind of the point.
I think what he was referring to is the poor ride quality of run flats in general. As I wish all cars came with a midsize spare. I dislike run flats for a variety of reasons. As a regular sport tire feels so much better. Run flats are so hard they help facilitate bent wheels along with the harmonic feedback. Eg it feels like a tire is out of balance. When it actually vibration from road contact. Lastly, never in a MILLION years (even with run flats) would I drive the car (with a flat).. So in time I will replace with continentals conti sport (best tires ever) "in my opinion" and I will carry a full-size spare in my trunk.
I own a MY22 Veloce Q4 (2.0 16V Turbo). Same colour as yours! Things i hate so far: 1.Exhaust could be louder. Even a Kia Proceed with it's tiny 1.6 Turbo has an exhaust system with flap control. 2. "Alfa active suspension" is no longer available for the Veloce trim. 3. Infotainment is laggy! Apart from this, it's an awesome and beautiful car!
A lot of the gripes are subjective, something one person does not like others may not care about or even they may like the way it is, such as exhaust notes. It a luxury sedan, and while I can agree if you get a model that is labeled Sport, or the V6 twin turbo model which is only 2WD and specifically marketed as a Luxury Sport Sedan some of the cons are lost.
His right about the tires had the car about a week and hit a pothole on the freeway needed to pay 350 for new park Pirelli run flat tire and hopefully Cali reimburses me for leaving so many big potholes on the freeway and absolutely agree about the turn signals really annoyed me for a while, but you get used to it and the exhaust could sound more sporty will probably add aftermarket exhaust in the future overall one of the most beautiful striking cars designed by Alfa Romeo
This pass Saturday I brought 2018 stelvio in that same color sport ti.. and you was 100% right about the turn signal and back up camera.. they could of did a much better job
Yeah it is weird. I don’t think they get used that often because when the car gets hot, glasses in there can get damaged. That’s happened to me before on another car I own. I don’t think that many cars have them anymore.
Well you actually can repair them. They tell you they can't to sell you another. LOL I got a flat on one and was punctured with a rebar. Took it to patch at a shop that patch tires on 18wheelers. Had my tire patch already for 3yrs already and nothing bad has happened. Yes I have drove it over 145mph and my tire has worked perfectly. NOTE: I drove my car on that flat tire for 5 miles at 30mph to get home and take the tire off. Don't drive 50-60 that's dangerous. And of course avoid going even 30mph over railroad crossing or any patch street.
For any Alfa to sound so muted is sad. It's not the engine, that's for sure. It's the pipes. They dropped the ball on that end. Every other point made above is spot on. Nearly all of us have to deal with these issues, especially the turn signal tango.
I guess they catered to an audience that doesn’t want loud exhaust while those that do can and will easily make it louder. Luckily whoever owned me had it made louder b4 i got it
Its a small pain but not that bad. Its like other turn signals tbh in the case that lets say you making two left lane changes and u got music up, you might have the turn signal on for the first lane change but somehow it turned off by the second lane change without u realizing it. Or the opposite you b sitting at a light and notice your blinker is still on. Normal turn signal issues from driver’s error/lack of attention
hello to someone here it happens that when you turn off the giulia there is a beep sounding by the side of the engine and disappears in a few minutes. I have talked to other people and they tell me that it is normal that it comes from the EGR
Not into exhaust pipes making a louder noise but if I decide that I wanted a much better one then the factory one.. what do you recommend? Also how to clean the exhaust pipe.. taking the black off
The Lusso or Monza exhaust from Madness Autoworks are really good. There is also a Ragazzon exhaust which sounds good. You can look at sound clips on RUclips and decide which one you like best. I personally prefer the Monza exhaust. When you mean cleaning the exhaust pipes, are you referring to the tips or the whole system?
I would forgive all those things you don't like about your car except for the turn signal and that shitty backup display. For a luxury car, I would expect a little more refinement in the inside. Great video though!
Ja and u forgot the start stop. Every time again and the reflecting dash and the slow gears.. and ... Bought me 2 Abarths for this non car. That is driving!!
the panic button is constantly going off, the resolution of the camera is of very poor quality, the tires are also a problem. I never pay attention to how the car sound. I guess I am driving it so I do not pay attention to how it sounds. However, the car is literally a work of art, no matter where you go, there are always going to be people telling you how cool the car looks. I do not pay attention to the car anymore but people do remind me of how cool the car is.
Yup. There is no pushing it in the same direction to get an outcome. Tbh its because they want to teach the driver “why the heck u use turn signal? We put a Ferrari 4 cylinder turbo in your fancy car and you wanna use turn signal? Crash and burn mf” yup word by word from the ferrari engineers
You're lucky you even got a back-up camera. Italians aren't known for looking behind them. Just have a look at the extremely limited rear views of classic Italian sports cars or older Alfa Romeo models.
S that why my rear view mirror can twist towards the right for infinity but when it comes to turned left towards me so i can see... it ends up makung ME MOVE to b able to see it
@@kingchakazulu7762 I wasn't talking about back-up cameras. On some Italian cars you can barely even see out the rear even if you look in that direction. I was merely commenting that OP shouldn't complain about his back-up camera when with most Italian cars you wouldn't even bother seeing behind you at all.

Hey, I’m looking to get the dark 5 hole quad wheels as well, do you have a suggestion of where to get them? Or did you plan to get it off of someone 2nd handed ?
I haven’t got mine yet. I’ve just been looking for a used set. A new one from the dealership would be so expensive lol. You can usually find one on craigslist or offerup but make sure it’s OEM. I’m not sure if the standard QV wheels will fit on a regular Giulia since they are pretty wide and the QV has flared fenders. They do make QV-style wheels for the regular cars which will fit better.
Yes, it is relatively expensive to maintain. That’s one of the unfortunate parts of ownership. Third party shops may be a little cheaper. I recently took it to the dealer for the 1 year service and they charged me $300. I will be making a video soon about maintenance.
@@CarVisionLA My two closet Alfa dealers charge $500 & $600 respectively for the 10K/1 year service! $150 for just oil change. Of course, those are robbery prices, but it's low-volume Italian, so what are you gonna do.
Lol I got a 2021 and they still haven't fixed the camera. Still terrible. If you think it's awful during the day it's unusable at night. Pitch black at night lmao.

Vroom.com has best price. I got mine for more than 50% off w low mileage and fully loaded
Yeah you gotta stay away from the big brand tire shops you can patch a run flat as long as you haven't ran it flat , been doing it for years
Just purchased a 2019..love the car... the items listed here are spot on.
I started out with a few minor problems but they’ve all been resolved and now I love my girl! Best car Ive driven thus far 🥰
It’s a great car! My favorite daily driver!
Have the car for a week and my service pad warming sign is on.. it only has 16k miles 2018.. I have an appointment this Saturday.. plus done like the fuel system.. the fuel keep going up and down telling me different umber miles left in my tank
If I had the money I'd buy one straight away

Hate is such a strong word when you love someone (or something, like the Giulia).
The Alfa dealer near me has a 2018 in Montecarlo Blue Metallic with the same interior as yours. Gorgeous, gorgeous car!
It's meant to match the balls.
Thanks so much for the info!
I will check out all of those things. Thanks so much!!
Nothing too bad, yeah it’s anoying little issues but I’m willing to sacrifice for this baby.
I agree, even tho I don’t hate my car these things are definitely something you just gotta get use to
I love the car.
I always use the backup camera and this one sucks sadly but it can still be used
BMWs and several other European cars have the same turn signal function, and have for years. I personally don’t mind it and i think it is an elegant way of doing things.
It’s something you love or hate. Definitely takes a little getting used to but once you do it’s fine
Then "don't like" lol
Anyway, you know you got the wrong one.
I had the 156 Selepeed 2.0. I wanted the 3.2 GTA V6 Selespeed
Mine sounded OK, but the other one sounded beautiful, drove like an animal and felt like a rocket.
We buy what we can afford, and what is available at the time.
The turn indicators are designed to be two stage:
Press halfway down, it returns to mid and flashes 5 times.
Press all the way down, stays on constantly, until press up half way.
You should feel a slight click halfway up or down.
You were bang on, I hate all those things about my Giulia.
Lol I thought I was being stupid and just struggling with my blinkers. Got my Alfa earlier today and have been nerding out on content.
it is amazing to me that all these car people can't figure out how to use a modern turn signal 🤦♂ the stalk isn't the problem its the user
Thanks! I forgot to mention the auto start stop! It’s so bad that I turn it off every time I drive the car!
Yes the auto start stop is the absolute worst! I hate it
I can fit a 1 liter bittle in my cup holder so i dont get that small cups only issue..
Thank you!!! I am considering one.
Absolutely agree in all!
@@toddtankersley2959 The guy at the Alfa dealer said, indeed, most owners switch away from the run-flats when it's time to change.
Bmw E60 has the same issue with the turn signals , but you get used to it
I own a MY22 Veloce Q4 (2.0 16V Turbo). Same colour as yours! Things i hate so far:
1.Exhaust could be louder. Even a Kia Proceed with it's tiny 1.6 Turbo has an exhaust system with flap control.
2. "Alfa active suspension" is no longer available for the Veloce trim.
3. Infotainment is laggy!
Apart from this, it's an awesome and beautiful car!
where did you get that red keychain? its nice
Can’t wait to pick up mine
Did you buy it?
Great vid man i too own a Giulia and you are very honest and accurate.
I wish they did! LA roads are the worst!! I still have the car 3 years later and love it more than I did the day I brought it home!
This pass Saturday I brought 2018 stelvio in that same color sport ti.. and you was 100% right about the turn signal and back up camera.. they could of did a much better job
Yup definitely. You’ll get used to it after a while like I did. Welcome to the Alfa Club!!
What else is notice is.. there no eye glasses holder it’s usually above you..
So weird they didn’t add one
Yeah it is weird. I don’t think they get used that often because when the car gets hot, glasses in there can get damaged. That’s happened to me before on another car I own. I don’t think that many cars have them anymore.
This is a fantastic car, with a wonderful engine too
Amen on the panic button!!!! I also hate the turn signals.
Well you actually can repair them. They tell you they can't to sell you another. LOL
I got a flat on one and was punctured with a rebar.
Learned that the hard way lol. I’m just gonna replace the set because the tires really hold this car back in my opinion.
I'm thinking about buying a 2019 with 15k miles. Has anyone with a 2019 had reliability issues? This is the only thing that has me hesitant.
I have 6200 on mine and it has been flawless.
The turning signal it works like with most of manufacturers. For Example my BMW 3 series has the same system
Luckily whoever owned me had it made louder b4 i got it
Definitely agree with the panic button bs.. Its a sensitive b..
All those things I noticed different on this car except the tires they were continental
Pretty sure for the indicator stalk you can just push it in the same direction again to cancel it instead of pushing it in the opposite direction.
That doesn’t work on mine.
@@CarVisionLA that's mad annoying!
Ikr! I got used to it but took a while lol. It’s weird when I drive different cars.
sounds fair, how much do you pay for a giulia in the us?
He truly sounds better than most German cars Porsche Included
You don't get it, it's an alfa romeo, they have soul
The turn signal thing would drive me nuts. Prob why you dont see ppl in these cars using their signals
Normal turn signal issues from driver’s error/lack of attention
would u recommend a muffler delete or no?
How reliable are these cars?
hello to someone here it happens that when you turn off the giulia there is a beep sounding by the side of the engine and disappears in a few minutes. I have talked to other people and they tell me that it is normal that it comes from the EGR
The turn signal took me all of a day and a half to get correct.
This sounds like an operator error.
Do you ever get any hassle having no front plates on? Just got my first ticket for it... only had it 2 months! It was a meter maid :(
I’ve never had a problem with my front plate, I think it depends on the cop. Are you in CA?
@@CarVisionLA Yeah in Los Angeles! Had no cop issues yet, fingers crossed!
I keep mine on the front windshield inside of the car. 20k miles driving like that n havent had an issue w cops
I would forgive all those things you don't like about your car except for the turn signal and that shitty backup display. For a luxury car, I would expect a little more refinement in the inside. Great video though!
not sure if it works but on other makes if you push the turn signal in the same direction again it cancels
You have to push it halfway down in order to cancel it.
Ja and u forgot the start stop. Every time again and the reflecting dash and the slow gears.. and ... Bought me 2 Abarths for this non car. That is driving!!
One think that I don’t love of my BMW , because after 50k miles I changed 2 fuel pumps. 😡
I'm considering buying a guilia and if these are the only things that are bothersome on the car, then I am leaving BMW behind for good.
the panic button is constantly going off, the resolution of the camera is of very poor quality, the tires are also a problem. I never pay attention to how the car sound. I guess I am driving it so I do not pay attention to how it sounds. However, the car is literally a work of art, no matter where you go, there are always going to be people telling you how cool the car looks. I do not pay attention to the car anymore but people do remind me of how cool the car is.
wouldn't the left turn signal go off if you put it on left again?
No, you have to push it the opposite direction to cancel the turn signal.
They even said “i hope you try to turn off the turn signal by pushing it in the same direction so that nothing can happen *laughs in Italian*”
The Giulia is from 2016 and the guys at fca don't like to update things

Mine unfortunately didn’t come with one.

Sport diffuser comes std with the Veloce trim. It does not come std with the base Ti & lower trims.

And maybe to influence Alfa to make some easy changes..
“ entire automotive industry “
You're right. The sound really sounds sad.
Is it expensive to maintain
Yes, it is relatively expensive to maintain. That’s one of the unfortunate parts of ownership. Third party shops may be a little cheaper. I recently took it to the dealer for the 1 year service and they charged me $300. I will be making a video soon about maintenance.
@@CarVisionLA My two closet Alfa dealers charge $500 & $600 respectively for the 10K/1 year service! $150 for just oil change. Of course, those are robbery prices, but it's low-volume Italian, so what are you gonna do.
