When I Arrived At My At My Sisters House In Johannesburg..Wow I Was Amazed..I Propagated Some Heads N Leaves..OMG After 10 mths They Are Beautiful..Have Flowers..Lots Of Babies..Too Beautiful 😍
Just FYI, leaf succulent propogates grow best in an enclosed box where the lid is wet to retain moisture, but the moisture does not pool around the leaf. Determine your climate, if you live in a place that is mostly hot and dry during summers and cold and dry during winter too, this really is the best option since there isn't enough moisture in the air. Propagation can happen throughout the year if done this way, if you just leave the leaf to root alone and you don't live in a temperate region, it won't root since the climate isn't warm enough/spring yet. Putting the leaves in an enclosed box mimics a spring environment or greenhouse and that is how the plant start to root. Make sure to keep in a brightly lit window. Good luck rooting your own succulent!!!

I remember when my son broke the petal off of my succulent I was so mad... But then I left it where it layed in the soil it sprouted a new cluster 💥💥💥😍😍😍I was happy... great video too
Hi! I have been growing them from leaves for about 7 months, but they never grow that fast and they seem to be stuck at a tiny size... I have had fun doing it, but can't wait till they grow larger!
I never thought the leaves must be kept in a closed box to retain humidity. Is it only for the thin leaves? The more succulent ones have more chances to rot and I keep them in the open.
had to completely take apart all leafs from my echeveria bc of one accident. Even the tinies leafs (up to 4mm long) grew out roots and gave babies. It is better when leafs are thick and big though, but still.
I enjoyed your tutorial very much. I have a question. When you place the leaves in the plastic container, how many times do you spray it with water and also the little pots you planted? Thank you!
how wonderful ..i hope mine will grow soon :D i have some questions ..plz could you help me? :D 1st did you let the leaves to dry for some days or did you get them on the watered soil right after you cut them? 2nd Did you spray the leaves with water at all during the first month? 3rd after you opened the pack to show us the results (after one month) for how long did you keep them closed in the pack again?
+Plants Bank , Have you answered +Xristy MyNails , Great questions she had , Id love an update or translation also ,I'm having problems with leaf propagation :/ I live in A great climate for them to grow but NEVER get good results - Appreciate any answers you have :)
Ivanka Lee dont. it can cause rot. what you can do is just leave it on dry soil (don’t wet it at all) then just set the leaves on the soil and forget about them until they make roots, then slowly start to mist them over a few weeks
This started off really great but then it seems you missed some steps. Like; what did you do with the little ones in the pot that whole time? Did you just treat them like a regular plant? Were the ones in the pots at the end the ones you planted from the first leaves? I did this once- for them to the point they started to produce a new flower but then after it died, so I would have liked to see the next step. Thanks for your time.
The leaves that you put in the container and set out of sunlight for one month... Did you water them, or give them any extra care? I seem to have an issue with mold if I put plants in a closed container for any duration of time.

What about plants that have become waterlogged and you remove the whole thing from the pot and try to propagate the leaves like this? Do we need to spray? Or just leave them alone since they are already waterlogged and need to dry off?

In order to rapidly grow it must be moved from the box

Me too. I think these people must have Uber expensive soil or decent climates
try aquaponics!! cut off small rosettes and allow their ends to dry out and literally float them in a bowl of water it’s so easy and extremely ast

Really great video, I will have to try the humidity barrier for propagating leaves 👍🏼
I'm just getting into planting succulent. I got my first 12 today. Can't wait to reproduce them

The leaves must dry first
Plants Bank how can you tell that a certain echeveria can already be propagated?
had to completely take apart all leafs from my echeveria bc of one accident. Even the tinies leafs (up to 4mm long) grew out roots and gave babies. It is better when leafs are thick and big though, but still.
I keep it closed so it’s more warm and they grow really fast but I made a little hole!

@@PlantsBank please could you come back for an answer? Love your videos!
Did you ever get a answer to your question? I thought you always had to let them callus 1st before putting water on them otherwise they'll rot!
Have you got answers to your questions 2 years ago? How are your succulents? @Xristy MyNails
Hi friend!after putting it on the clear container, did u water it sometimes?
I have the same succulent. These days, succulents are very popular.
I noticed other people’s obsession with succulents before I became obsessed myself. I love succulents 🥰
Once you’ve closed the container, did you do anything else or just left it alone for the month?
you need to mist it whenever it dries out

Before you put the leaves into the soil were the ends allowed to dry and callous over?
