Just FYI, leaf succulent propogates grow best in an enclosed box where the lid is wet to retain moisture, but the moisture does not pool around the leaf. Determine your climate, if you live in a place that is mostly hot and dry during summers and cold and dry during winter too, this really is the best option since there isn't enough moisture in the air. Propagation can happen throughout the year if done this way, if you just leave the leaf to root alone and you don't live in a temperate region, it won't root since the climate isn't warm enough/spring yet. Putting the leaves in an enclosed box mimics a spring environment or greenhouse and that is how the plant start to root. Make sure to keep in a brightly lit window. Good luck rooting your own succulent!!!

I never thought the leaves must be kept in a closed box to retain humidity. Is it only for the thin leaves? The more succulent ones have more chances to rot and I keep them in the open.

had to completely take apart all leafs from my echeveria bc of one accident. Even the tinies leafs (up to 4mm long) grew out roots and gave babies. It is better when leafs are thick and big though, but still.

2nd Did you spray the leaves with water at all during the first month?

Ivanka Lee dont. it can cause rot. what you can do is just leave it on dry soil (don’t wet it at all) then just set the leaves on the soil and forget about them until they make roots, then slowly start to mist them over a few weeks

This started off really great but then it seems you missed some steps.
Like; what did you do with the little ones in the pot that whole time? Did you just treat them like a regular plant? Were the ones in the pots at the end the ones you planted from the first leaves?
I did this once- for them to the point they started to produce a new flower but then after it died, so I would have liked to see the next step. Thanks for your time.
