Beautiful. Some of these I have trouble with growing in low light areas. They tend to stretch a bit if not given the correct light. Remember to adjust your methods depending on your situation. Everyone's growing environment is different depending where you live and where your plants located🤗
Thanks to the person who created timestamps. Based on this list, this is my experience…keep in mind, grow lights are your friend too. 😊 when I say “in a window”, I’m also referring to the use of artificial lights. 1) Aloe vera - not good for indoors; 50/50 if it’ll live, needs a VERY bright window w minimal H2O. 2) 0:47 Zebra plant - YES, _Haworthia_ is a good choice for indoors, even if not sunny. 3) 0:55 Mother of millions - will rot & disintegrate if kept indoors, even in a window. 4) 1:04 Jade plant - 50/50. Maybe it’ll adjust, maybe it’ll die. 5) 1:13 Bear paws plant - 50/50 Maybe… leaning towards no. It’s more likely to die inside than the jade. 6) 1:20 Donkey's tail - 50/50, outdoors, needs shade; indoors must be in a bright window or it’s gone. 7) 1:28 Tiger aloe - probably not good inside; prefers outdoors bright indirect light. 8) 1:37 String of Pearls - 50/50. MUST be in a bright window inside, with light coming from ABOVE. Or else the arrangement gets patchy “bald spots”.. Outside, bright shade or indirect light. Needs the airflow of outside too. 9) 1:46 Paddle plant - NOT appropriate for inside, like, at all. Won’t get the colors either. 10) 1:54 Gasteria - YES, a good shade choice for indoors. 11) 2:02 Lace aloe - 50/50, might be ok in a window. 12) 2:09 Snake plant - YES, we know this works, but surprisingly they like some light, and I have many outdoors in full sun. Bloom frequently. 13) 2:16 Kiwi Aeonium - not a good indoor plant, and will lose all the colors that give it its name. Unless under lights. 14) 2:26 Flaming katy - sold as a houseplant but really needs to be under lights or in a window. 15) 2:33 Fox tail agave - NOT a houseplant. Gets massive and needs sun. Or outdoor shade. 16) 2:41 Devils backbone - NOT a houseplant; needs sun for colors, good airflow and cool nights. 17) 2:49 Conophytum - Maybe, if under lights or window, but usually not a good choice. 18) 2:57 Wax plant - must be under lights or in a window for Hoyas to survive. Light is key. Outdoors, bright indirect light, protected from harsh sun. 19) 3:06 Crown of thorns - 50/50 I’ve seen it work but also it’s similar to the devils backbone. Needs cool nights and airflow. 20) 3:12 ZZ plants - YES, but don’t get it twisted, still needs indirect light! 21) 3:20 String of bananas - See string of pearls. But this one is more likely to die inside. 22) 3:28 Aptenia - NOT good inside at all. Needs sun all day. 23) 3:36 Spider agave - 50/50 it is a shade loving species, but outside. Indoors, no agave is truly gonna be happy. 24) 3:44 Molded wax agave - this is Echeveria agavoides. Not necessarily the best inside. 50/50 25) 3:52 Crassula - just not good inside, at all, unless under lights or a sunny window all day. 26) 3:59 Sedum spurium - a fully outside plant! 27) 4:08 Woodland stonecrop - another fully outside plant! 28) 4:16 Finger jade - 50/50 29) 4:24 Lifesaver cactus - 50/50 30) 4:31 Rassulaceae - not sure what this is, you mean “Crassulaceae”? Majority of this list falls under that family actually. 31) 4:39 Fairy washboard - YES, another _Haworthia_ so good for shade or inside. 32) 4:48 Candle plant- not so much, 50/50 but better outside. 33) 4:55 Panda plant - YES, but only under lights or a sunny window. 34) 5:03 Senecio - NONE! Outside outside outside! Or they die. 35) 5:12 Ponytail palm - Nope, maybe under lights but I’m gonna say no. 36) 5:22 Fairy washboard - …. 37) 5:28 Haworthia Margaritifera - YES 38) 5:35 sansevieraia parva - YES 39) 5:43 rhipsalis - YES but still needs a bright indirect spot 40) 5:52 platvcerium - YES but still needs some light 41) 5:58 holiday cacti - YES but still needs some indirect light 42) 6:05 spider plant - it’s 50/50. Lots of ppl grow it indoors but it’s happiest in bright shade outside.
Gawd i love cacti and succulents.... and im a burly dude!! Lol!! They sometimes look so alien, yet grow and propagate so cool. I have a cactus collection, and my wife has some really cool succulents! You should see her mom's Jade, it looks like a miniature tree.... seriously monstrously cool Jade.
I don't think aloe vera is an indoor plant. My aloe vera plant turned yellow without sun. And, Yes! I've seen many succulents doing well without the sun. Thank you so much 🙂🌿
It’s true, they only work inside if they’re right up against a southern- or eastern-facing window. Or even a west facing window, but that is very hot usually.. either way, has to be in a window, and I mean like, right up next to it. Majority of this video actually. None of these are no light or low light plants in the least. Lol. Like 3/4 of this list WILL die if grown indoors, I can guarantee it. Not even because of the light, but they require airflow and cool nights! Many of them..

What is full shade One side of my 2 storey house has full sun from morning till evening. Is that full sun? One side is hid from the sun from morning till evening. Is that full shade or low light or indirect sunlight? I have carport in the middle of my yard, it casts shade all day, I can still see and read under it when I lie down there out of sun. Is that full shade indirect sunlight or? I have a windowless fibro shed, I can still clearly see my way round in the daytime. Is that fullshade low light or indirect sunlight?
