    My company just fired one of my managers in my department and he was a good guy. He made sure I get my raises and talks good about all the workers in his department. After they fired him we all feel as though it’s time for us to leave for ourselves as well. Because he was screwed by the company he put his heart in soul into their profits and they just throw him to the side. That’s why people don’t want to work anymore because it’s getting to the point t where it’s not worth it.

      @XYtotheZ 21 день назад

      Part of your statement is silly.
      "Get millions for nothing"
      Guess you are not a CEO.
      When you either own your own company (as some of us do) or are the CEO of a major corporation your "job" is a 7 day, 24/7 per day commitment, not a 9-5, 5 day per week job.
      Now do I think the CEO's of public corporations are grossly overpaid?
      Of course I do. CEO pay of public corporations should be capped at say $5 million per year. Even after taxes and most certainly receiving stock options, these CEO still bring home millions.
      Maybe CEO pay should be capped at $1 million per year and then as certain yearly performance milestones are met the compensation rises accordingly in that given year?

    As previously mentioned, if jobs are not willing to pay a livable wage, people will be hesitant to work for them. Those who do may only give the bare minimal effort. The advice I've always received is to work sufficiently to complete the task but not to overexert oneself, as this only leads to additional work without adequate compensation. There's no need to overwork for large companies that view us as easily replaceable. A woman died on the job not too long ago & nobody noticed or patted an eye at her until almost a week later then the company gave out a basic generic message about how they were "sorry" when in reality they don't care. Especially today employers want to call the younger generation lazy because they aren't willing to settle for less or slave themselves for the next 40 years how ironic.

      Most companies are broke, stop believing the headlines of corporate profits. Profits aren't net income & in many cases it is like a person with a home loan.
      A person says I made 6000 profit, 4000 net. But the avg house is 400,000 which one would still owe. Look he has a profit of 6000, that guy must be rich & doing better than ever. 400,000 house loan, 30,000 car, etc.
      Yes we all got raises just like corporate profits... Doesn't mean their insurance & property taxes didn't become unaffordable though... because most of that did eat into Budgets.
      Walmart, amazon, Apple, exxon included in that last I checked... Even with cash on hand their debts outweigh profits. Most averaging 30 billion+ in debt.
      Obviously 1 million employees at walmart, 40hrs a week is 40 million. Theyd need like 2 billion + a yr to pay for $1.00hr raise at Walmart, due to government taxes not shown on your gross pay.
      When ceo makes 10 million, travels the world for business, it is pennies compared to scope of workforce costs, especially considering most are family. Their wealth is commonly made from shareholders.

    I get it; however, people are going to have to adjust to this new “normal” of working multiple jobs when put together probably still doesn’t add up to once was. Those days are over by DESIGN. If people don’t see that already then those people are not using their brains and reasoning skills. You collapse the middle class then they are lumped in with those we deemed “poor”, and then you are only left with an elite group at the top. This is when it is not only about money, but about controlling every aspect of of humanity; if you want to obtain any of those things we have always taken as “givens”, it now nemesis the bait dangled in front of each of us; only those who comply will be given the bare minimum to survive. Start THINKING people; get your heads out of the sand. Two and two will ALWAYS equal four no matter what these elite globalists and their cohorts tell you.

IT, nursing, etc are jobs to thrive on. if you want to work in the trades you have to have some hustle and an entrepreneurial attitude and get your name on the truck. people raised in the past 30 years have had things handed to them, got participation trophies and were told how wonderful they are and were not allowed to fail. adulting is hard and work sucks. tough shit.

Well that was totally insane so I went to barber college. The only solution when nobody wants to pay you is to do piece work freelance like barbering. When you’re busy you can make $60 per hour. When you’re not busy you just loaf if there’s no cleaning to be done. I could typically read two paperbacks a week from the used book store across the alley from my shop. The paperbacks typically went for 25 cents. When I’d get a customer who was also a barber we’d always joke about how lazy barbers are. Nonetheless, on days when you get forty haircuts it’s really hard work.

    Currently working 2 jobs wife's pissed that I'm thinking about getting a 3rd because I'm not getting enough hours/pay. Had some recent large pay cuts over the year and trying to adjust
