  • Well folks, for my last posting of this year here's a priceless piece of accordiana history from a very old & very scratchy recording from vinyl LP, but I've re-processed it through a wave-form editing program to make it marginally acceptable. Quite frankly, I've never heard of this piece since none of the great recording artists appear to have recorded it. But it's a great sample of the great Frosini's creative skill & technical brilliance. The term "chromatic" is from the Greek word "khroma" for color & in the musical realm stands for the extensive use of notes outside the prevailing key signature for heightened expression. Although Frosini's chromaticism is achieved by the use of melodies exclusively using chromatic scales. In fact, it could be called "A Chromatic Perpetual Motion." HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

This is wonderful and amazing! Thank you for playing. I play a "Frosini" style C Chromatic accordion. This piece would be a challenge on it! Happy New Year!
