😭 You would only understand my tears of joy if Barron was your boy❤️literally from the womb, he has loved all things nature! I used to be "mom of the year," when I would capture gardener snakes in a grocery bag and wait for he and his brother to come home from school.
Barron you are both noble and the salvation of a sane humanity. I ❤️ your philosophical outlook on life and restoration. Society is too quick to discard and destroy. Your RUclips video's are treasures and you are both inspirational.
I am not a fan of snakes, but with the details you provided and the respect you showed for every step you took, made me rethink things a bit. Thank you. Love this content!
Barron seems to have found himself within the new land. Ya'll are so cute and awesome. The end with the wagon was perfect. I'm completely happy knowing there's people out in the world enjoying life. 🥳🐿
Love seeing this side of Barron. Three things I learned: Rattlesnake tastes like chicken. The difference between antlers and horns. Gotta sit forward in a wagon so you don’t fall out! Absolutely love this video!!
Hey Elsa girl! I’m a whole 100% lesbian with a whole entire wife but girl, I just cannot watch another one of you, Barron and Kamps videos without telling you that your man is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Sure hope you two accept my compliment with light hearts and sound mind. But in regards to this particular video… you two are total bad asses! I just can’t get enough of all three of you. Sending all the congratulations and positive energy from the universe to you all on your new adventures on this gorgeous land of yours. Peace & Blessings!
As a former farm kid, this kind of thing doesn't bother me. Ending suffering, respecting the animals, even if we eat them, utilizing everything we can, and wasting little. I'm super jazzed that you're putting that message out into the world. Mad respect to you both.❤️🏞️🐕❤️
I'm Lakota. Enrolled at Standing Rock in South Dakota. I've never seen this done with rattlesnakes but it's interesting. I just have little garter snakes living around my yard
I love how you give warning for people and chapters. That being said, I loved the whole video. Respect for the animal is wonderful. Poor buddy with the bad road luck.
Funny that you mentioned rattlesnakes not making themselves known, when I was working in South Texas last summer I learned that rattlesnakes down there don't rattle anymore because the wild boars would find and eat them. And sure enough we had a few rattlesnakes on site and none of them ever rattled even with people standing within a couple feet of them. Much respect for how you handle wildlife though 🙏
The videography The editing The voiceover The knowledge The kindness and love for wildlife and nature on display Yes, I really enjoyed this vlog! 👏👏👏👏👏
A long time ago my grandpa found some elk antlers while backpacking in Montana. He carried them back to the car but they would not let him take them across the border into Canada so he left them on the side of the road. He flew back home from Canada but his friend drove back into the states and found the antlers and brought them to my grandpa in Pennsylvania. They are up on the wall right now. This reminded me of him always telling me that story
Barron can narrate more videos anytime! His voice is so relaxing especially when he talks about something he’s so passionate about. Don’t worry Elsa I still love your video voiceover‘s as well
Videos are getting so good…Barron has come alive on his land and I totally enjoyed the critter explanations and the way in which he honours nature. Loved Elsa’s shower build narrative. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Thank you for running to get footage of the wildlife. I really love that kind of content, so your efforts are very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Technically I dig any content you put out, but I especially love to see you two living your dream. You have lived simply in order to create this for yourselves. Now you get to enjoy it on your own terms, on your own time. It just makes me happy to see you all so happy with what you are encountering, and how you are growing with your experiences. Much love to you.
You guys are just the best. I wish it was easier for me to spend more time with you. I always have some crazy new experience when we hang. Thank you for the shoutout. 🙌🏻
Some years back I lived off the grid in the back country of San Diego. Mexican Brown rattlesnakes were common. They're heavy bodied and not very long. We took one that was in our camp. We skinned, filleted, grilled and ate it. My six year old son loved it so much and had three helpings! He excited shared with his class how his mom served him rattlesnake for dinner. A few days later, I got a visit from CPS! The worker was very impressed. Said he grew up in NYC and would've loved to have the experience my children were getting.
I loved seeing Barron narrate this video. My brother collected various reptiles /snakes when we were drowning up - from an iguana to a boa and a python. This brought back many memories. Continue to enjoy your adventures on the new land - loving your videos.
Yes, Barron and Elsa- I am totally into this venture of all-things-wild-n-natural. Absolutely right ON, man. You are living your dream and it's not far from my own.
This is how people used to eat. You ate what was available. What you could catch or hunt. Its so interesting that people have gotten so far from what they eat they have no idea what or how to eat if it isnt from the grocers. Where i live. We fish. We hunt. We hunt for mushrooms. There is so much wild food that you dont always get the opportunity to have and its delicious.
For the snakeskin, I would love to see you put it on a plaque to hang in your new home once you all get it built. What a treasure to keep forever and generations to come.
When I lived in Arizona, we had done this. This has brought me back to my teenage years when if we seen something dying like a rattlesnake, we would kill it because they would frighten the horses while on trail rides. The rattlesnake skin is so cool and definitely not your typical snake skin. I love that you guys preserved the memory and kept it kinda of sacred as in today's world, sacred has lost it's meaning. (I hope that makes sense.) Thank you for bringing me back to something that I missed about my teenage years!
I’m from the South and we have some serious rattlesnakes down here. I have 2-3 Timber Rattlers or Diamond Backs a year. I learned some cooking tips from you guys. These snakes tend to be 4-6” in dia along the middle portions. So I cut the meat up much like I would to make catfish steaks. Sometimes we do it up in foil and other times deep fry like fish or chicken. I’ve never experienced a “gamer” taste. The more juice you can hold in the meat the better. Love your place. I see many happy memories in store for you both.
I do indeed enjoy your animal-focused videos! It's also just so nice to see you two play and relax after years of stressing and moving the Scamp around. I know there will be more work ahead--just as there was a good deal of fun in those earlier years--but I'm happy you can take a break.
My 8 year old son loved watching this video with me!... It was awesome the honor and respect you gave this creature and he was able to witness that love and dedication!...Thank-you for being great role models!
Hi there beautiful people Elsa,Barron and Kamp👋 Kudos to y'all for loving nature and harvesting the poor snake. Excited to see what y'all do with the skin and antlers. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Keeping y'all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless Y'all 🙏✌❤😊
My brother has a long bow he made by hand that he lined the front with a rattlesnake skin he processed. It was really beautiful. By the way, I see you have Yucca. The flower buds, flowers and younf seed pods are edible and the leaves and roots can be used for soap.
Thank you Barron. We lived in the desert as well. Tried Rattlesnake once, of an old fella that chose to curl up and slide into the next adventure, we found him soon thereafter and did the same. Thank you for being respectful of his life (or hers) I believe we are all relations.
Beautiful snakeskin. Thank you for putting it out of its misery and for treating it with respect throughout. I love and keep snakes. They are so misunderstood, but vital to the environment.
@@ElsaRhae It'll be great! You can do it. I just watched the end of a video of a man making one...looked nice. Just Googled how to make a snake skin hat band, and Boom it popped up - queued to where you see how it looks while he's putting it on his hat. Computers a wonderful!
Thank you for your big beautiful heart! Although I have yet to eat snake, and I don’t think I ever will, I appreciate you using all of it instead of discarding the meat and just keep the skin. 🙏🏽✌🏽💖
How cool!! I had a family of horned lizards around my house in New Mexico! They would let me pet them all the time. That snake skin is BEAUTIFUL!! Great way to honor it's life! ❤️❤️

Loved your love and respect for all animals. I have eaten rattlesnake and it was delicious. I have been called a weirdo for loving all types of creatures. Loved your love and respect for all animals. I have eaten rattlesnake and it was delicious. I have been called a weirdo for loving all types of creatures. Grew up saving animals and then releasing them to the wild when possible. Saved a green darner dragonfly yesterday while swimming in the Blue River. Love when I can record wildlife when hiking. Wonderful video!
I love the respect you show nature! I look forward to how you incorporate that into developing your homestead.
