  • I made a large bowl out of a weathered piece of oak.
I had previously prepared the wood and set it aside to dry, but it had developed a few fairly large cracks.
After I roughly turned the wood into the shape, I used hot melt glue and pieces hdpe to create barriers in which to pour epoxy that I used to strengthen the wood.
After the epoxy had hardened, I turned off the glue and excess epoxy.
I finished the bowl with friction polish.
The bowl has a diameter of 28 centimeters and is 12 centimeters high.

Nice save. All that effort for the epoxy paid off ! Thanks for sharing. Take care. -Mike

Thank you Mike, the wood had a nice grain, but to be able to turn it, I reinforced it with epoxy
