Don’t question this expert all you trolls have no idea how phenomenal of a job he does…love the videos brother!!!!
Thanks brother,!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Another great video
I appreciate that
Perfect timing. I have to paint the same color for my Tacoma hood and rear bumper.
Right on!
England calling, I am planning to paint my Fiat 126, your channel has been superb and talking me through the process. Great stuff.
Awesome, thank you!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Awesome job. Some folks haven't got the money for expensive repairs, glad you helped them. Keep those awesome videos coming. 👍
Thanks, will do!
Another excellent video. How did you E-Coat the inside and with what product after the repair please? Maybe you could show this process in a future video?
Hey Chris, you did a fantastic job repairing that dent as it looked quite nasty with the bad crease in it, I would have liked to have seen more of the dent being pulled and fixed but I understand that you can't include everything in the videos, the finish from the paint looked really nice and you always get a very clean finish considering you don't have a booth, thanks for sharing🙏👍John UK
Thanks 👍
Great video. Thanks for showing that a great job can be done without super expensive equipment.
Thanks for the show, incredible job I'm explaining the steps especially for myself the diy guy keep up the great job.thank again
Your welcome! Appreciate the comment and support!
great video man always in joy watching your videos and tips!
Thanks brother appreciate the support!
I'm curious why you didn't include the dent repair in the video. That was the most difficult part of the job. You did a great job on the dent, but chose to showcase the painting.
I actually didn't record it for some reason. They'll be others tho.
I bought same lips there great money savers!
Lips?
I am curious what a job like this would take in timeframe?
A little over two days with everything.
Another great clip Chris, Phil from sydney love the work you do and show us DIY the help we need. That Tailgate guess if it was me i would have paid for a new one as you have the Tools and experience to make that disaster to come like new wow great work indeed look forward to the next clip.
Some access holes on the back side. Next time, I'll include that.
Thanks for the tips.
Man, I wish you wanna show this all that other Kim footage. We need that you're showing exactly what you meant showing. We need that other stuff
Yeah wasn't able to get that footage. There's plenty of other body work on the channel tho.
@@GarageNoise I know I watch all your stuff and I go back to your previous stuff. But when you said you split and relieve the stress. I wanted to see that type of stuff
Spot welder chris ideal mate 👌 good video thanks for sharing that very well explained 👍
Great episode, really enjoyed it ❤
Awesome, thank you!
Lvlp!
👍
nice job as usual
I appreciate that!
Detailed information ❤.
Glad you liked it
I always find met grey hard to match, I can do several spray outs before I start and I’m never 100% happy. I think I just need to get on with it sometimes. People say moondust is a difficult colour to match, but I find the flop on it gives it so many different shades from different angles, it helps you get away with a bit more . I maybe wrong as I’m no pro but that’s my take .
nice job wow💯👍
Thanks 👍
Great video. Some advice for quoting jobs like this, for us garage guys would be awesome. I feel like i keep under quoting my self
Great video! What reducer are you using?
Slow usc reducer

Great video. I want to paint my motorcycle a different color. It is black and silver, my question is do I need to prime or just sand (600 grit) and do base coat ( red )? Thanks
Do you need primer before painting you car or motorcycle #automotivepainting
Chris I'm stripping my hood down to bare metal. The paint is crackig and I can see some surface rust.
#1 Can I use 80 grit , 180 grit, epoxy , sealer , then base and clear. Trying to go with the best long term results with the least amount of steps .O
#2 Can I used etching primer to the hood. How many coats and do I have to sand the etching primer ( If so, what grit).
#3 Would a dtm primer come next with the etching primer. Which route would you take ? The hood does not need any body work.
#4 Can sealer go over epoxy primer?
#1 is your best option for long term
Hey Chris awesome video yet again man!. I have a problem man please help 😅 sos! So I primed painted and cleared a classic mustang engine bay and every stage went great except the clear where I had crazy amounts of fish eyes on the top horizontal surfaces of both inner fenders, so i sanded them down to the primer-they were deep. Based those areas again and re-cleared, and…again, fish eyes , in the same areas so that leads me to believe those two areas are really contaminated, oil? Where mechanics touched to work on the engine? That’s that I cleaned those areas really good. How can I fix this? Degreaser then the normal cleaning procedure? They’re sanded again to primer. Maybe sealing it? Sorry for the rambling. Appreciate any help Chris
Loving your content. Possible dumb question. I'm looking at painting the Camaro I'm restoring. Mainly due to space I would like to do the shell one day and then the fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid another day. (hung in correct orientation) Can anything environmental effect the shade of the base coat if it all comes from the same gallon of paint?
Yes, but if you do it the way you described you shouldn't have any issues.
👌👌👌
Chris can primer sealer be sprayed on epoxy primer.
Yes, you can but always check the Technical data sheet for the product your using. 👍
Chris the spray bottle you use for the panels when using De-greaser what is the name where to purchase please.
This is the same sprayer different distributor. I got mine on tik tok
amzn.to/3Q4fsv5
Also would the New Black Widow Lite be good for us DIY as it has less overspray.
Cartman MP-400 is the original lt100. Eastwood re labeled it.
One more thing I forgot to ask you
I’m I supposed to use a filter when I’m pouring the clear coat and hardener into my spray cup?
What are you doing man? We miss you.
What glue sticks are you using I’m to playing around with pull tabs but can’t seem to get anything to stick well enough not looking to do complete pdr but something that would work faster than weld tabs
Weld tabs and some cheap ones from Amazon. Still working on finding the perfect glue sticks
I have tried kecotabs collision flex glue did not have the strength I hoped for going to try camauto yellow or cactus green next let me know if u had any experience with either one
@@davidbodkins8986 No, I haven't but what I can tell you is alot of the strength in the pull comes from pulling the tab at the right time in the drying process. Pull too soon and the pulls weak ,to late and the glue gets brittle.
Chris to purchase most items when i check always out of stock on many items indeed not your fault but many items not available.
How much did you charge customer for dent work only and then paint work..?
730 for bodywork and 500 for painting
@@GarageNoisethat’s really affordable for two days of work. Keep up the great work.
Question: is there a reason you choose 70% alcohol? Do the other percentage alcohols have disadvantages?
Hey I had a question , Im repairing my bumper for my 2007 corvette and I was wondering if I have to use adhesion promoter on it when I primer it, or is that only for new bumpers that are raw plastic ?
What LVLP spray gun can you recommend for base and clear coat?
Drizzle D1
R500
Aeropro A610
Eastwood LT100
Start with orig R500 you can find them cheap on Amazon or even walmart online.
amzn.to/3QwJfwG
I have the eastwood lt100 and im struggling to get a flat finish in my clear. Is there a better gun i should try thats lvlp?
What's air pressure are you using? What's you fluid volume set at?
@@GarageNoise I usually do 30-32 psi. I have the fluid wide open. Maybe I should turn in the fluid more?
Can I use the R500 to paint the whole car or should I buy better quality, I’m planning on renting a booth to paint, should I buy a high volume air gun since I’m painting in a booth? And if so which one? Or should I just stick with the R500? Thanks
You can paint a whole car with the R500 and it will do a fine job, but if you have plenty of air and are renting a booth then if you could spend a about 250.00 I would pick ip the Porphis 715 prd with the mp cap. Fantastic gun for the money easy to use. You can check out my latest video to see how it preforms.
I just watched yr video on the Porphis PRD spray gun, looks good, I just ordered one from the site you posted, thank you for your help I appreciate you!
@@israel9294 give me an update after you use it. I'm considering becoming a distributor of this gun.
Can you recommend a clearcoat? I’ve tried looking for upol brand but it turns out that Amazon cannot ship this. So I tried a body shop nearby. They have different brands different prices. Can you recommend different brands maybe something that will last 5 years or more Thanks !
@@israel9294 Finish1 Fc710 or fc720 great clear, great price! Make sure you sub brother talk about this clear all the time.
