    Beautiful finish on that roof Chris the 4600 certainly lays that clear on nice, I noticed you were dumping quite a lot of clear even on your first coat it's nice when you can do that and a roof or hood is ideal to smash it on and get a glass like finish, superb job👏👏
    Loving what you do Chris so please keep these videos coming if you can🙏🙏👍John UK

    Wow that Sagola is the ticket. One of these days I'll get a dedicated clear gun. I have an Iwata Bellaria that's OK. It's a better base gun. Lays down metallics beautifully. Does pretty good with clear. My r500's still get used as well. Thanks for the good tips and tricks of the trade. I've learned alot from you. Cheers

    I attempted a metallic silver blend today on my vehicle and accidentally sprayed the base too close to the tape line and lost the blend area.
    Didn't notice until after I cleared it and now I have an obvious new to old color line.
    First time I've messed up a blend like this, so any suggestions (or even a video) would greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

      Don't buy it. Invest in a decent gun. Look at the wet one inch strip in the middle of the 6 inch fan as he's laying down his basecoat. Iwata makes several material saving guns that aren't too expensive. There are companies in Australia and Japan that sell guns cheaper that the US. $250ish should get you a better gun than eastwood.

    Chris really appreciate the videos they have helped a lot!! First time DIY’r getting ready to strip/paint a sprinter van. Any recommendations on durable long lasting paint for a work van?

    • @MarcBchannel
      @MarcBchannel 4 месяца назад

      That's alot of work to strip that big van😬 Why are you stripping it?

    • @ryansmessaert8973
      @ryansmessaert8973 4 месяца назад

      I just know these vans tend to rust out due to very thin paint that seams to chip easily. I want to make sure I have a good starting point and I wanna do it right so I never have to redo it. I plan on keeping van as long as possible as it has low miles (05 with 60k). My plan was to use coopers strip club stripper.

    Do you tack between each coat of clear coat and what would you recommend when painting the roof of a SUV Tahoe to be exact should do everything in sections. No scaffold just a 6 ft ladder is all I have

    How are you not getting wet edge stripes when not doing end to end on a panel? Is that the slower reducer? I get a dry edge and have to case it.

    Thanks for the good video.
    Honest question as I am learning . Will the LVLP lay down the clear as smooth as the Sogola? I know on another video you said the LVLP was slower. Is that the difference in your choice for this clear job, speed? I am interested in the LVLP hoping the LVLP will do a great job too. If the Sogola does much better on clear, I would like your opinion. 😊
    Thanks,
    Phillip Hall

      The Sagola is better for clear. It's also about $600 dollars more. That doesn't mean you won't get a great finish with the lvlp.

      You can tint it, or try a different variance. Some colors have 10 or more different shades of the same color.
