    I make one mistake in this video.
    236K, Ryujin, is air blockable, even if the opponent does not use Faultless Defense. In the video, I say otherwise.
    It's such a small mistake - you shouldn't be using Ryujin very often in the neutral anyway. It'll take a few more mistakes to warrant me re-uploading.

    This guide was particularly useful to me for explaining how to do the loop, because it didn't occur to me when watching match videos, that the players were delaying the second hit of 6HH so that they splat higher on the wall.
    There is one thing you could have added to this guide (that I think you didn't mention) and that is the airdash j214K. If you input it quick before the airdash finishes, she will just fall downwards rather than moving in a parabola, making it much more useful and deceptive to block. Also easier to combo from that way.

    Parrying (or Hochifu) is integral to playing Jam, as it’s one of her strongest defenses. Listed in the move list as 546, parrying is done by being at neutral before pressing back, then moving to forward, within 8 frames of an attack hitting you. Parrying can only be done versus attacks that can be blocked high, and on a successful parry, you will recover much faster than if you had normally blocked the attack. In addition, on a failed parry attempt, you cannot attempt again for 15F. This does not apply to a successful parry attempt, allowing you to parry multi-hit moves.

    The flip special is really not as bad as you make it sound. Her jH hits all around her so even if she turns around you can still hit people with it from the flip. Also, the FRc changing the arc make it the quickest overhead she can do. Jam mixups are not her strongest point, the flip is a decen t mixup tool, so might as well make the most out of it.

    • @Moqlnkn
      @Moqlnkn  3 года назад +4

      Its saving graces are that she can cancel into it from non-jump-cancelable attacks, and that [I think] it escapes Slide Head faster. Otherwise, there's no real advantage over a regular jump. Theoretically she can get a fast 236P FRC j2D RC overhead combo, but, like you said, she's less of a mixup character and more of a pressure character.

    I went to dustloop to find help on Jam's wall combo on the heavier weight characters but all it says is mess with the 6H timing for the bounce , however the basic wall combo just doesn't send the opponent high enough on the wall against A.B.A weight(and lower) characters at least from what I lab'd. I know timing is different but I straight up can't get bounces in certain cases.
    My question is what's the best way to land Jam wall loops on some of the more heavy characters?

    • @Moqlnkn
      @Moqlnkn  3 года назад +3

      If you ever let the opponent touch the ground, aside from the 6H/H ground bounce, the combo is over, and you can't even get a knockdown. There's a very strange property where, if you hit the opponent WHILE they are on the ground from a ground bounce, then it triggers OTG, and the combo is over as if they just touched the ground normally. Ergo, you have to wait for the to be bounced from the ground bounce, when the game removes the OTG status from them, otherwise it won't work.
      The timing you should mess with, then, is the *second* hit of 6H/H, to be as late as possible without the second hit going under them and missing. If the opponent immediately escapes after the second hit of 6H/H, then you were way too early, and you triggered the OTG status from hitting them out of the ground bounce too early.
      From there, it's just a matter of making sure you can land 6H without them touching the ground. You can use 5K 2H 6H most of the time, but 2P 5K 2H is technically faster and will work even if they're very close to the ground. If they're too high, you can try raw 6H or 2H 6H. If you aren't sure if anything's possible, then you can always spend cards if you have them to pull them back down.

      For Japanese players, Jam players are Teresa, LOX and Jajamaru. But while waiting for her in Strive, LOX is currently playing Giovanna and Teresa with Millia.
      As per Accent Core is concerned, I'm not aware if they are still active in this version.

    Cool overview on the character and game as a whole. Hopefully videos like these will motivate others to make comprehensive tutorials for more niche titles like BlazBlue Central Fiction, since BBCF is a game that's just as complex as Guilty Gear XRD Revelator, with the game like Revelator having legacy skill, meaning if you haven't stuck with the game since the original back in 2008 you have a MASSIVE hill to climb in learning frame data for each character's normals, gatlings, and overall mobility options that can be used on offense and neutral. Then there are the game's plentiful system mechanics, such as having a half a dozen options on defense that you need to master such as having four ways to block based on specific scenarios for example, and the game having a multitude of wake up options with each having a specific use, and that's not even going into the Drive mechanic, which is a unique action for each character, which there are OVER 35 of, which MOST of the cast plays VASTLY DIFFERENT from each other. All of this is wrapped up by a solid tutorial that not only goes over the mechanics of the game, but give you a general idea of how each character functions as well. Mainline BlazBlue games were HUGE in japan, with it being popular in many Japanese arcades, and as popular Guilty Gear content creator Obama stated in a podcast with Blasted Salami that the series had at one point been up there even with the almighty Tekken in terms of popularity. With many veterans like Dogura ( who is one of the best players in Guilty Gear who uses Slayer) and Fenrich ( who is arguably the best BB player, and currently one the best in DBFZ) representing the series for a long time . Sadly, The series just never took off over here in the west. However, the lack of popularity nationwide doesn't equate to the game's quality.The fact that is arguably the most unique AND complex 2D fighter on the market, but isn't talked about hardly at all in the west was always baffling to me. Especially when I read comments, and watch videos of people in the FGC complaining about how boring fighting games have gotten recently, or how easy it has become and yet will refuse to give the game a try. Thankfully, that seems to be changing, for instance Lord Knight, a tournament player who plays a variety of different fighting games recently made a fighting game tier list and put BBCF near the top, as well as popular Guilty Gear content creators like Obama saying on a podcast that BBCF is arguably just as hard as GG. For those who want to see high level game play in order to get a grasp of how hype this game can potentially be for you, I'd recommend a video titled "BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Grand Finals - Evo 2014" on youtube, and while the game represented there is not Central Fiction, I think it works, since Central Fiction is more of an evolution of Chrono Phantasma any way. Other channel's include "Burst Recap" and "Jourdal" for more high level Japanese play.

    Jam has an FRC on her throw. Can I know if there is any use of it???

    • @Moqlnkn
      @Moqlnkn  3 года назад +2

      From my experience playing her, no. You can just super jump and combo them even without the FRC. I suppose it would make the combo easier against lighter characters.
      It appears as if she can't knock the opponent down after a throw, unless she has cards. I can't find a way to make the FRC help with this issue, but, if it did, then that would be one use for it.
      But I'm not a Jam player - I've only played her a few dozen times. You might find a use for the FRC by watching other Jam players, namely Teresa from Japan. You can also ask the #Jam channel in the game's Discord.
