I am completely new to GG and the tutorial is really good. My only comment though is that it requires some knowledge about fighting games in general because of the usage of technical words. Would have been great if they were explained.
Thank you for making this. I've been playing BlazBlue for a year now, and I feel like I'm better at GG because of it, but I did need a tutorial specific to this. It'll take time, but I'm commited! Thanks again!
Thank you for making this video. I just picked up Guilty Gear AC because I kept hearing so many great things about it, but I felt overwhelmed by the game engine, even though I do play other fighting games. This really helps!
I was last week years old when i stumbled into this game like a rake in an open yard. It hit my face in the best way possible. Thanks for helping me learn! Im never going to stop playing this shit.
Thanks so much for this guide, HitConfirm. I've always wanted to play Guilty Gear, and recently picked it up on PSN. I was somewhat daunted by all the mechanics, but I love how well this tutorial broke it down in less than 30 minutes! I can't wait to learn this with my friends!
Dude this was a beautiful tutorial man. I've had this game for months but didn't go back to playing it because i didn't understand the game mechanics enough. I use to play Guilty Gear 1 on the PS1 tho. But thank you so much for this. Really helped me. Very well explained. Oh and thanks for the number pad/D-Pad diagram explanation, that helped soooo much man!
This video is incredibly helpful and a lifesaver. I'm brand new to the series and just got AC+, and I have no idea how some of the game's mechanics work. For instance, holding 8 during Dust to jc. the attacks? I was just doing all of my attacks from 5, no wonder I wasn't comboing anything. Seriously, this video rocks. Thanks a bunch.
This is so informative. Its like the GG players I've met either don't know half this shit or don't care enough about their game to relay this valuable info to new players.
@cookiesandporn 1. Keep Yourself Alive, 2. Awe of She, 3. Nothing Out of the Ordinary, 4. Holy Orders, 5. Suck a Sage, 6. Simple Life, 7. Bloodstained Lineage, 8. A Solitude That Asks Nothing in Return, 9. Walk in the Dusk, 10. D.O.A.
Wow, so much mechanics! GG has always been a difficult game for my friends and I to get into. Compared to other fighters, it's very technical and not really noob friendly. This is a good guide, will watch many more times, thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I picked up my first Guilty Gear Accent Core plus and have been intimidated by the systems in the game. This will surely explain a lot and enhance the gameplay for me_^)
Solid video, very very helpful. I've been trying to play online WITHOUT knowing most of these mechanics (like faultless defense and bursts and canceling). . . yeah. . .wasn't going so well.
Bread and butter. Your go-to combo for most situations; usually it's the standard combo punish, or the combo you most want to land for damage / situational advantage.
really impressive! i have to admit, but i was always overwhelmed when seeing gg notations and stuff.... this video had helped a lot (since i usually plays only ggx in the dreamcast, i have missed a lot of the new features), i think i can learn how to play this game... ... a little late, hope the sequel uses the same base!
Yes today i unlock the extra option menu and see the Chaos RC jaja its fun to practice some combos but like you said, this no use for a competitive play, thanks for answer my question and i´l be waiting for another video tutorial of you guys thanks again ^^
Great tutorial thank you! I recently got my first GG game (AC+ for the Wii) and the instruction booklet is useless. Honestly, there should be an in depth tutorial in the game itself but alas. This has got to be the most complex fighting system I've come across, and I don't think I'll ever get the hang of it, I'm too used to the SNK and Capcom styles, this is just insane!
@PSNMyfoot I never said they were the same, I said Blazblue already has a tutorial in its game, with complete looks at each characters, a full tutorial (explained by the lovely Rachel sama) explaining the game's mechanics and a challenge mode to show combos for every single character. Unless they were going to add the frame data, go into character specific strategies or even match up data, I don't see what they could add that's already explained in the game's tutorial.
That's a huge help! One last question, then I'll stop bugging you. Jam's first move is back, forward, followup, CATCH. How do you do that move? There are no moves above it to follow up. This is in X2 Reloaded.
@ChaosxPaladin So you didn't really watch this. Barrier on BB is not Fautless Defense, Dusts are not in BB, Neither are FRCs. Tension? Works way different, so does Slashbacks, OTG, Teching... Specially Teching. GG and BB are alike in the surface and REALLY different in depth. That's why I said, this isn't BB.
@shadowkid1993 This is an instructional video, it's not meant to instill the thrill of a real match. It is supposed to teach you about the mechanics of the game, which it does very well.
Thanks for this vid! i FInALLY decided to pick up a Guilty Gear game. While this isn't the version I have exactly (I have X2 #reload) this is at least enough to get me started!

Lol i haven't stopped in 3 years and only came by to send this link to some returning players. This video is possibly the best I've seen on the game.
What’s the command for rc
@@gongusdeedeetow1510 3 buttons at the same time (for me I use P, K & S bound to one button)
Pls how to instant kilk in PC
@@johnleo7061 It’s simply all 4 attack buttons at once when your meter is full and then double quarter circle forward plus Hard Slash.
I'm not even halfway through this tutorial and I'm loving it so far. Trying to learn this game to prepare for Guilty Gear Xrd. Thank you!
Thanks, my old 3rd Strike brain was not prepared for this game.
Guilty gear WOULD be that type of game to have 4 different parry systems
I am completely new to GG and the tutorial is really good. My only comment though is that it requires some knowledge about fighting games in general because of the usage of technical words. Would have been great if they were explained.
Thank you for making this.
I've been playing BlazBlue for a year now, and I feel like I'm better at GG because of it, but I did need a tutorial specific to this.
It'll take time, but I'm commited!
Thanks again!
I'm also trying Accent Core after playing Blazblue
Try Tekken
This is stuff is harder than pulling off all the solos of the soundtrack
One of the best tutorials I've seen for any fighting game on youtube.
I really like how it gimps you if you try too much defensive play. This game really wants you to go ham and give it all you got.

Hope this game is alive for a long time. Rollback is so wonderful it revives a acient game
Good job, guys, nothing new for me, but i find this very helpful for newcomers.
I've been waiting to try GG for a while. Thank you for the guide; it makes this much less intimidating at first glance.

Very solid tutorial. Thanks guy!
After playing GG for a while I still learned some stuff from this vid.
Hi, I really appreciated the helpfulness of this guide. Would you consider making a complete tutorial for Blazblue in the near future? Thanks.

That was the best credits sequence I've ever seen. Great job on the video!
This is so informative. Its like the GG players I've met either don't know half this shit or don't care enough about their game to relay this valuable info to new players.

Anyway, thank you very much for making this video! It was really helpful, since I'm a beginner.

"FRC"s" are two to four frames. Makes sense having a hard time doing them. Thank you!
Dropped on the switch and i came here good work

Now i see why this game was so deep.

CANT WAIT FOR AC+ ON PSN. THIS GUIDE WILL BE REALLY USEFUL
I've been looking for something like this. Thanks a lot for this!

Um excelente tutorial para pessoas que, como eu, estão aprendendo o básico de Guilty Gear.

Great tutorial thank you! I recently got my first GG game (AC+ for the Wii) and the instruction booklet is useless. Honestly, there should be an in depth tutorial in the game itself but alas.

Wow thanks for the detailed list and fast response,
That final message is right.
Let's Rock!
We'll use Jam for example.
236+S
--> K or S or HS
beautifully done mr.hitconfirm ;_;
2020 and i'm here. This game is dope.
hitconfirm thanks for this video man.
Yeah, you can block first and start slashbacking on the later hits

Fantastic guide! Thxalot!
If this came out for PC on Steam, I would buy it without hesitation.
Well there goes my summer
now that GG is out on USA PSN, it's time to put this video to good use.
So much stuff I never knew! Especially with barrier block.
That's a huge help! One last question, then I'll stop bugging you.
Jam's first move is back, forward, followup, CATCH. How do you do that move? There are no moves above it to follow up. This is in X2 Reloaded.
I thought High Slash was called Hard or Heavy Slash.
But eh, what do I know. Nice guide, btw. It helped me be a bit more competent at the game.
There was a lot of stuff I didn't know about before about the game and now I know. The more you know ^^
@ChaosxPaladin So you didn't really watch this. Barrier on BB is not Fautless Defense, Dusts are not in BB, Neither are FRCs. Tension? Works way different, so does Slashbacks, OTG, Teching... Specially Teching. GG and BB are alike in the surface and REALLY different in depth.

Amazing video capture work.
All these years of playing GG I never knew about the taunt mechanics :D.
