I just realized a couple of the videos are black beat which I missed while editing. They should work in theory I just messed them up!

Please take these example combos and see how you can apply these yourself. Dont just look at what the combo is as a whole but the uses for each individual section!
I tried to keep it as simple as I can so some ideas that are seemingly very important couldnt make it, so please look out for new videos more indepth tutorials later.

Thank you for focusing on combo structure over memorization. It's just as important to know WHY the combo work as it is successfully doing the combo

This tutorial really helped. Turns out that hitting two sidewinders aren't as hard as it looks, once you get the height and distance of the 2H correct it just comes almost automatically. It's pretty satisfying landing those.

I need a bit more practice to pull it consistently. Hitting the 2H after the second Sidewinder is a bit tricky
Great video, just one thing i’d like to point out. You should practice these combos on Slayer, not Ky. Ky’s air hitbox is weird, and some combos require dash momentum to work (example: 5K c.S 2D BR) Slayer on the other hand has generally normal hitboxes.
Yeah, Ky's wonky hitboxes make it harder to do stuff like get clean hits on Sidewinder.
Finally a good guide that actually comments on how to play the game, not just here are some combos (both are really lacking for this game)
Appreciate you taking the time to make this guide. I had a little trouble knowing where to start with Sol.

Trying to get back to this game in 2021 after having not played it since highschool...
Too lazy to learn Sidewinder stuff. Can't get that knockdown ender after WT consistently. Any tips on the timing?
Aim for the head. Most Clean Hit detection is around that area. If Sidewinder hits the chest, slow it down a bit. Let them fall for a bit longer so you can punch your opponent right in their smug little face.
FB Sidewinder always scores a Clean Hit, so if you really need to, just press Dust instead of Heavy Slash to never miss a loop again.
As for the Bandit Revolver knockdown, same thing. Let them fall just a bit longer if you fly right under.

@@Exkcal thank you. I plan to also get Blazblue on switch. I recently bought a hori split pad pro. The giant analogue sticks are amazing for shooters and the dpad means I can control my characters a bit better than the default switch joycons which used buttons in place of where the DPAD should have been. It is essentially the Switch Pro busted in two halves and meant for portable playing of arcadey titles. I wonder if the newer GG titles are possible to be ported given the existence of a DragonBall FighterZ port on switch?

So im new into fg as a general, this migth be very easy, but am having a hard time to j.s into hvv, most time i got nothing or sw, any tip, anyone? Thx!!
Remember that you are 'dialing the hvv in". So during the animation and subsequent hitstop (the lag following the move hitting) you should being doing HVV.
You can practice this by setting the bot training dummy to jump and practicing doing JS,HVV

What is that you did at 1:20 ? You said cancel into FB Fafnir how do I do that? And what does FB stand for
It looks like a roman cancel but when I do it its red
FB stands for forcebreak. Use the D button instead of Hs
I cannot do Fafnir with any input :C does anyone else have that issue? (Wii version)
honestly usually the problem is youre inputting too fast and sloppy, try doing it slower and building up
