When it came to the new Dizzy we can see that she's more confident compared to the original and seems to understand that there are times she MUST fight
It's pretty impressive how faithfully they recreated the sprite animations in the 3D models. Crazy how big of a glow up Baiken & Millia got in their Xrd costumes. Still wish we had an option for Potemkin in his OG outfit though.

I just noticed the top of Faust's clipboard reads "Guilty Doctor" in Japanese and then "patient operation table" in German. However... "Geduldig" is the German word for patient... the adjective, not the noun, so it's a mistranslation that is, frankly, utterly perfect for a nutjob like Faust :P I wish I could translate more of the German on that table, but anything more interesting than things like "hospital name" or "symptoms first recorded since" is too blurred to make out, namely the questions with "nein" (no) circled next to them. I wanna know!
God, with XRD to Strive there's some give and take. Some newer designs are better, some older ones are better. XRD has much better colors and textures. Strive has english voices and better animation. But with X2 to Strive it's just all straight up upgrades through and through. From the upscales like Slayer and Venom to the modernizations like Baiken and Dizzy to the redesigns like Potemkin and Millia. It's all just straight banger after banger.

5:59 I've never played this game, nor do I know anything about it, but the new design for this character looks sort of unfaithful. I think they put a little too much emphasis on the boobs, and maybe even made them bigger. Honestly it's not a huge deal because I mean hey; free clicks. But, still, I think it kinda takes away from the other aspects of her outfit, and is honestly kind of distracting in a bad way. I understand the hair change, but I also think the big and spikey ponytail takes away from her initial characterization, which I assume is a trained samurai. It makes her look sort of wild rather than smart and quick. Then again, I don't know her character, so I could be wrong.
I like the design of Baiken in Xrd more but I see where you're coming from, the ponytail is very intentional though, she's meant to be rough and emotionally driven, however they went a little absurd on the game after this, Strive, same design overall but the boobs are even bigger and the ponytail is huge, I mean huge, it's even bigger than another character's big hair but that's because it was meant to resemble the mane of a lion on his case
Idk why I kinda prefer Axl looks in the original ps1 Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear Strive. I do like Iron Monger Potemkin tho. He looks like less of a generic big dude
I like the old Sol better. the hairstyle is more daring, the figure is more athletic, the pants are cooler, even the sword. New Sol looks like a 40 year old bouncer with the hair of a 10 year old boy. Even shoes. Old Sol was more active and wore sneakers. New Sol wears heavy boots and apparently sits on the couch a lot.
@@Renoistic Strive is stylized but very differently than Xrd. Xrd is spikier, trying to emulate the older sprite works while strive has more rounded and soft edges, modern anime style
Am I the only one who prefers Raven's old design? It was weird as hell, interesting, and original. Raven's redesign in Xrd Rev. made him less weird and less original. That sucks. Potemkin's old design is better than that knight redesign in Xrd, imo.
Dude Venom was openly gay in Guilty Gear X, which was released in 2000. The series, much like the rock and heavy metal it was inspired by, has always been pretty progressive lol.
