i love that only Baiken and Faust have unique twists in the music of their Insta Kills technically only Baiken has one because Faust's is just the normal theme that cuts to an orchestra

i reckon the reason there's currently no insta deaths in strive is because they're trying to keep the animations seamless with the gameplay, like how when someone wins, it doesnt cut out to them somewhere else, they immidiately go into it from the actual gameplay. so when/if insta kills come back they probably wont be as ridiculous but they will look seamless like they did in the first games
There's a new one! Guilty Gear Strive! It has only 15 characters so far, but they're all super unique! For example, q character called Nagoriyuki is a vampire restraining himself. He gains a blood meter for using specials, and his normals get better with more blood. But if you fill the meter (which can be emptied with a throw) he enters Blood Rage. In Blood Rage, his normals are massive and he's like insane. But the Blood Rage animation is extremely punishable and finishing a Blood Rage makes you lose like 60% hp. So yeah, the characters are unique.
Also, there is a ninja named Chipp with 75% health compared to the others. However, his mix is insane, he has a meterless DP, and he's super fast. Nobody boutta land a hit on you with that SPEED if you play right.
There is a burst mechanic that gets you out of combos, but it can be also used in combos or to defend, so it requires resource management. I have NOT played the game, but i have watched gameplay. It looks cool, *TOO BAD I LACK A PS5 AND CANT PLAY FIGHTING GAMES (DBFZ NOT INCLUDED) ON THE XBOX*
I know nothing about Guilty Gear, but I love almost everyone being all flashy and creative and Slayer's here like "Yeah I wrote a haiku, lemme read it to you while you soar to the heavens 😊"
