I think gg makes up for it bc every super has a cinematic, and so do some specials. Plus the dynamic camera angle on combos. We might still get instant kills in strive at some point.
The thing I love about Xrd over Strive is how much more personality it has with the intros, outros, win quotes, and of course instant kills, it makes me love the characters even more. (I miss Elphelt)

My favorite male character is sol badguy with his badass transformations !
