I look forward to our Sunday morning vlog. He's chhe me up when I'm feeling down x
Music to our ears 💚
A simple google search will reveal that east coast councils all agreed to get rid of campers on the beach over a year ago. Where you’re heading you’ll find nothing over 2.1m long is welcome. No campers are welcome and no overnight sleeping is permitted. From skeggy to Hull you can expect the same limitations.
I watched your whole vid hoping you might might point this out to your watchers. By now I’m sure you’ve discovered this for yourselves. Looking forward to seeing what your plan B is 👍
Yes these peeps cheer me up too when I'm feeling down. ❤️
In terms of not accepting camper vans in Norfolk.... Why is this the case??????? It sounds pedantic and militant and prejudice towards van lifers. Perhaps iv just lived in india for too long and not used to rules that don't have to be there......
If you saw the sheer amount of people in North and West Norfolk June-September you'd understand why Holkham shuts car park overnight.
but we all pay for these facilities.
But then limit them to a maximum time ie 24 or 48 hours or similar and not to return within 7 days. It gives everyone a chance.
Did you know that they have over 5000 designated parking places in France. Some with limited time some without. Their also have more campsites than any European country. The vanlifers or Motorhomes spend on average £50 in local areas per visit.
@@hgglass8905 Yes we're very slow in uk in catching on, you'd think it'd be the same here.
Holkham is a private estate but has plenty of land where they could have designated parking for camper vans and vls.
@@hgglass8905 are you suggesting the only people who are welcome are big spenders?
One of the reasons why Norfolk has so many "no overnight camping" car parks is that over the years, especially in the summer months the coastal car parks have attracted members of the travelling community. I have known car parks to have been taken over for weeks at a time by large encampments. The police only have limited powers to move them on once they are on a piece of land and they often leave behind a horrendous mess. It is just easier for the council to put up no camping signs and height restrictions.
Yeah understand it, just wish there was a compromise of some sorts
Most people with motorhomes don't leave mess and go round picking up the rubbish.what the councils could do is limited time 24 hours
your so right.
That doesn't mean everybody should be punished. The "traveling community"you refer to are the people who travel on-mass and take liberties but that's not what people like Liam and Janine are doing.
I was about to say the same , I’ve seen it many times in Lincolnshire , families with kids dare not park in the car park so ruins their holiday and like you say the rubbish afterwards. It does ruin camper van life for us all .
I remember driving a camper van up and down the east coast of Australia staying at the most amazing locations, but then a few people who were also living the life spoiled it for the rest of us by overstaying (sometimes for months) leaving rubbish behind and sometimes creating turmoil and havoc with locals and other van lifers. Those few spoiled it for the rest of us, we who took care of the wildlife and the existing environment to leave it as unspoilt as we had found it! As a result we must now all suffer these restrictions… so sad
Have to honest if the no overnighting rule was removed for Hunstanton then there'd be no room for anybody. Plus the mess left by the less responsible members of the VL community.
It's a shame as we've never seen van lifers leaving mess
@@ThoseHappyDays didn’t you do the NC500? 😅😅
it only needs a few dedicated 24 hour parking spots , the rest being off-limits for day parking only.
@@ThoseHappyDays I have many times sadly first hand . Really is a shame
@@PawsomeAdventuring I’ve done the nc 500 id say the biggest problem is rented motor homes that just take the piss with staying in one place too long.
Leaving litter or emptying out waste tanks in the car parks. ( they’ve rented the van they don’t give a shit as long as they’re having a good time.
I was shocked at the amount of rental vans to be honest. Loads of young lads renting out motor homes and being leery. Hopefully now magalufs back in operation they’ll go there and act like tits
That brought back happy memories. We used to go to Norfolk and Suffolk a lot when we lived in Cambs. Thanks for the memories, you two 💖
That's a pleasure 🙏
Great video but I feel like I've just got off a roller coaster....it all felt a little rushed
We have a bit of pace on this trip
@@ThoseHappyDays just don't forget you left the rat race to enjoy the freedom and slower pace of van life though ....its about the journey and not the destination....im old though lol so don't listen to me ....safe journeys
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I grew up in Norwich and spent my childhood on the lovely Norfolk beaches. It’s a shame you did not get to see more of Norwich which has a beautiful Cathedral and a cobbled Tudor street -Elm Hill , where my great, great grandparents lived. 🙏🏻💜💗 Happy days indeed.
We saw loads of it, and loved it. Love Elm Hill and the area around the cathedral by the river, really pretty
Sunday in the garden with my coffee and Those Happy Days….👏🏻👏🏻
Good to see you getting into the swing of the beginnings of your journeys, me I'm watching from my bed with a coffee ☕ on the Sunday morning, only this time I'm in hospital with a broken hip and wrist 😳 I fell over at work the other week and last Tuesday on my way to sign on the sick I tripped up crossing the road and then broke my hip 🙄
I have to give a massive shout out to the NHS and the amazing treatment I'm getting at the moment 😘 have a fantastic week on your travels 🤗
Oh My God, so sorry to hear that 💚💚💚
Take care x
@@ThoseHappyDays Thanks 🤗 I'm getting the best of care, the hip operation went great and was up and walking yesterday, and today I'll find out if I need plates and pins in both hands 👐
Have a cracking week, will look forward to Sunday.
I’m so happy ‘Morgan’ found somewhere to park. The beach is beautiful, and calm. Love the video. 💚🇬🇧💚
Hope you're well Terry 👍
Hi to you both ..loved today's video .Those amazing beaches !! You both seem so happy in your lovely van too. Look forward every Sunday to watching your video and following your lovely lifestyle .x
Thank you for joining us ❤️
Norfolk coast was where my childhood holidays were as I lived in Cambs , some beautiful beaches just a shame you couldn’t get parked up near them . Great video as usual I always look forward to Sunday to watch your adventures. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for watching 👀
Great bit of filming and drone footage, I really found the visit to the restaurant interesting and the food looked fantastic, ref Campervan parking over night, its becoming tougher the closer you get to any major beauty spots or tourist attractions, back in 2007 we did the NC 500 in our LDV Campervan and there nowhere near the problems faced by campers today, nowadays we find by dropping back a few miles from coastlines etc it gets easier to find somewhere, just as a heads up when/ if you get to the county of Powys in Wales, you can stay in any council owned car park for a pound 👍
And you know what I like about you guys?... "Nothing" 😂😂😂 only kidding, I like the fact you both keep the van tidy, I always try to keep organised when away, looking forward to seeing the next video which we'll be watching from our van on holiday in Belgium 🇧🇪🇧🇪😊
Be lucky regards James, Tracy and Polly 😊👍
Haha love the mid way humour in there, i would have done the same...made us LOL haha
Thank you for my lovely Sunday Fix. Love the hair Jenine. I agree that Norfolk beaches are amazing but so sorry you were unable to park over night.
Have a safe happy week.
Stunning beaches guys . Its so hard trying to find parking on the beach the councils hate us being there .They don't mind us there during the day spending . Omg that last beach was amazing. 😃 see you next week guys x
The last beach was between the villages of Heacham and Snettisham.
Thanks Sarah 👍
Great video so sad you missed Gorleston the beach is amazing!
If you are happy to pay for "overnight parking" in a safe and organised parking facility, then surely a campsite is your answer!!
Norfolk campsites are an absolute rip off, £70 a night at Wells.
I think it depends on the cost. A council car park charging £10 a night stay amounts to £70 in a week. A campsite charging £30 a night would cost £210 a week.
There is a huge difference of paying approx £5 overnight to £30 on a camp site
X 365 you get the point
Someone has obviously never looked at campsite fees 👆It’s 2022 we don’t need facilities, we have solar. The UK is centuries behind Europe with regards to van parking and Aires. Councils are losing out on £.,why give it to a rich landowner?
@@paultrussy4243 Some good points Paul, and although l don’t completely agree, l think it’s a problem that is going to affect more and more people, regardless of the manner of travel and lifestyle because the push for regulation is becoming overkill , not helped by the decreasing level of common sense and care by the general public these days.
We live in Cromer and are van life but even we noticed that norfolk doesn't realise that it should be vanlifer friendly with overnight spots available the main car park in Cromer is big enough contacting council to see if they'd reconsider allowing overnight campers
Another amazing video. We love north Norfolk and your footage definitely did it justice
💚🙏
Love your channel so much. Thank you for doing all this for us. You guys are the best. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Ah thank you for the lovely comment
Great to see you enjoying Norwich and the Norfolk coast. We love Namaste too. Our county gets so full during holiday season that you really can't get moved in any of our amazing beaches, there's so many camp sites though. Come back in January to see 100s of seals and their pups at Horsey, so beautiful to see. We live right on the edge of the broads, parking becomes a huge issue on sunny warm days. Glad you found a spot at last though on the beach. We used to love taking our caravan up to East Runton, overlooking the sea.
Ah nice lucky you
I've camped all along that coast, but it's been at paid sites and they are not cheap £20+ a night! It would seem that the council have made it very difficult to camp for free/car park fee and force people onto the paid sites!
This is due to certain people abusing the right and leaving huge clean up bills along with court costs. Trust me on this , these areas I have found faeces , rubbish dumped and areas of beauty trashed .It saddens me that this happens and law abiding folk cannot use it but it is what it is .It’s a little naive not to understand this and to blame the council for the rules they have to put in place . If people behaved in the first place there would be no problem .
What a brilliant video you two. Janine, your hair looks fabulous. Norfolk is a place that is so down on camper vans it is apparent. But the best you save for last with that lovely park right on the beach at the end of the video. Thanks for the show, will in Florida
Thanks Will, it was awesome that last place
Wow great to see the seals. Britain really does have some beauty spots. I live in SW Scotland and we have the Galloway Hills and coast line all the way round up to Ayrshire. Lots of people by-pass us. More space for me and my old van lol Michelle x
Cromer seafront is free to park and stay overnight also there's a place in sheringham where you can park overnight for free to🙂
Hi guys great to see you travelling about the sea resorts were amazing. Loving
the content your putting out. Thank you both ❤❤😊
Thanks for the feedback, we love that you loved it
I met a guy called Tim who did the English beach walk, camping a long the way. For charity.
Nice
Thank you both for this great video,as usual of course. Aussie here, chances of us getting over to the UK are very slim, so will enjoy travelling along with you each week. As a 5 years Vegan, that food looked so amazing. Total envy.🤗
Nice one thank you 😊
My favourite coastline. I go often. Shame you didn't get to see Wells beach and pinewood forest to it. It's huge! Very like Holkham, but far bigger. Incredible! We used to camp in the fantastic Pinewoods holiday park next to the beach car park, until they ended the camping when Wells became far more popular and the property prices skyrocketed. That car park is packed all summer. Pinewoods went all snooty and only had camper vans and very posh statics. I don't blame them. It's a very nice holiday park with excellant facilities. There's a little train from the town going down that road to the beach and back. Some great shops and restaurants there. But the beach is perfect and spectacular. Norfolk had to do what it has with overnight parking. Everyone would flock there for those beaches. It does with cars. Old Hunstanton beach is also very nice. Same beautiful sand and dunes to sit in. I was there just last week with the dogs on a lovely sunny say.
Beautiful sights thankyou so much taken us with you 🙏👍🤗💕
Pleasure 💚
Hi guys another awesome video glad in the end that you were able to find a beach to stay at take care and travel safely guys xx
Was a proper gem that last place
@@ThoseHappyDaysSure was a gem
Another awesome vlog Janine & Liam and the plant based hotel & restaurant looks great and the food was yummy 😋. Great to hear the good news about your website and will have to check it out. Love 🥰 the vlog and love 💕❤Janine & Liam.
Yes we must get that site live haha...soon,
Hi, another great video ❤️ but just wanted to tell Janine to get a waterproof jacket, the ones which you can pack away into a bag, we picked ours up from stone henge in their sale for £10 and went to the abbey at Whitby, it was blowing a gale and even though we had warm coats on the wind was going straight through and we were freezing, so we put the waterproofs on, it was amazing, they stopped the wind and we were as warm as toast,. I think you should invest in one ♥️♥️♥️
Ah nice thank you
It is a shame that this country isn’t more camper friendly. You two are gonna be blown away in France and Europe at how camper friendly it is . Check out “all the aires “ books. ☀️
We cannot wait!!!
Exactly that's why most people go aboard it's amazing
Beware of gang attacks on roadside camping in the EU, place chains from inside front doors from side to side to prevent night time break in’s.
Hi guys.. This is a fab video.. I love seeing you both enjoying & embracing every bit!!! Beaches are amazing.. Thank you for sharing.. Lotsa ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Terry 👍
another great vid.love watching you guy battle the parking spots.look forward to next vid.
🙏💚👍
I love the way you say "room", Janine. ❤️
Another stunning video. Wow, all the lovely beaches. Well done and thank you. Mooi loop.
Thanks for watching
Great you got a park up at last on the beach…. all along Britain’s coastline camping overnight is becoming a thing if the past…
We are in Norfolk/Suffolk in July campervan but staying on sites overnight & travelling around during the day…. need our beauty sleep😂😂. Thanks for highlighting some fab places to visit!! 🍷
👍👍👍
Hi guys if you ever come to Norfolk again go to Waxham beach you can camp on the beach for 6 weeks during the summer and it is beautiful with lots of seals there. People with vans stay the whole 6 weeks every year xx
Really? 😲😲
Absolutely love Indian food , l worked in London at a wine bar called JC’s , they owned spice trader which was downstairs and JC’s wine bar upstairs
Well the food there is out of this world and my tiny wine bar was just a dream job 💛they treated me like family 💛 will never forget them 💛
Aw sounds lovely! And yes Indian food takes some beating 😍
Hello, the reason being is so many areas have seen what can happen with stopovers.
We fulltime and have seen examples of why Councils who have tried to make provision for overnighter, have had to stop .
Dawlish Warren tried it, 2 nights max, by the sea , toilets etc, once the Vans turned up and never left, and NOT TRAVELLER'S, but people who just abused the area.
Bideford allows overnight guests, Barnstaple lorry Park near the centre.
It's what people leave behind them, spoilt for most.
Another beautiful video, thank you for sharing the Norfolk coast with us. I get why vans aren't welcome in some ways, just because of the sheer numbers potentially. Word would soon get around! Loved the drone shots again Janine 🌞💚 I feel like I've been on an adventure with you both.
🙏❤️
Wells next the Sea is our go to location in our campervan but we stay at Pinewoods camp site (expensive!). It's a shame you missed Old Hunstanton beach because of the car park barrier. There is however another entrance just along the road where they open the height barrier. Maybe next time 👍
Sounds great, would love to check it out
Loving the beach, what an awesome spot! And the food at Namaste looked amazing!
Sooo good
I get it that the local authorities and residents don't want camping in carparks, but what a waste of space and potential income when money is scarce at local authority level. There must be a way to safely manage all that empty space at night time making sure those who stayed overnight move on.
and they are the same residents that expect to have a free space when they travel away from their local area on holiday lol
Loved ye're travels along the coast, specially the seal colony. shame no wild camping or free over night parking . have a lovely week ahead. 😘
Thanks for watching
Love the video and drone footage. Norfolk is great, shame about lack of camper van park ups. The indian food looked incredible,i think i could easily partakexxxx
Really enjoyed this weeks travel , Thanks for sharing. How lovely you where invited to try out the hotel and their restaurant. Looking forward to viewing next week's travels. Keep safe guys :-) :-)
Thanks Clare 👍
All the places in Norfolk and Lincolnshire have no parking for van lifers (overnight)
but you're in a van you could park anywhere you don't have to park where there's a view of the sea
I take your point but a big draw of Van life is things like parking by the sea and going to sleep listening to the waves.
@@goldilocks913 why not buy a boat next time
@@heriotpayne even more regulation on the waterways these days! And pretty expensive too 😉
@@goldilocks913 i am not talking about canal boats i speek of sea worthy vessels capable of travel to the med and beyond
@@heriotpayne Ah! Wonderful idea! 😊
Great seeing all these UK beaches and all the weather you face. I would have a hard time moving on from each beach town. Travel safe.
Yeah so hard to leave them all as so pretty
Loved catching up, just got back from Cyprus, so watched you while I have been washing and having huge mugs of Tea 🥰x Happy Sunday x
😍❤️
Good video guys,I could tell you we’re getting fed up with the parking,it was pissing me off,for ya.At least you got that great park up on that beach. That Indian food looked lovely and made me hungry.Take care both of you and il see you next week👍👋
The food was bangin mate 😍
It looks like all the towns work hand in hand with campsites.
Great channel! Full time van lifers and vegan. Goodluck on your journey, will look out for you when you reach the west 😊
Great Video and keep up the good work. From a fellow roaming motorhomer who knows the Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines well, you did pretty well on your search for a beach stopover.
Thank you 💚
Great video and loving the drone footage. Such a shame about the parking. Probably something to do with travellers or litter. A few ruining it for the many. Those beaches all look beautiful, so I can only image what they look like in the sunshine. How lovely to have a vegetarian hotel and restaurant, and the biker cafe looked amazing. More places to add to my wish list. Aren’t seals wonderful. I love watching them play. I’ve seen them in Cornwall playing in the seaweed. I’m glad you finally found a beach park up. Looking forward to the next episode already. Stay safe and happy travels x
So true is that
Thank you Lorraine 💚
Aww your in my home county. Ive just moved from Norwich and back in my van in Wales. The Norfolk coastline is so beautiful but almost impossible to wild camp 😭 glad you got to see the seals. From December onwards there are thousands that come to shore to pup.. Saw hundreds of babies this winter. Right up until February.. It’s a magical sight. The food at Nameste is so good. Loads of amazing vegan eats in Norwich.. Glad you found somewhere to park eventually. I will have to look it out 😛
💚 where in Wales are you
Awesome video guys safe and happy travels 👍😊
🙏💚
Couple of us sat down with Exeter Council to explain, we're the ones clearing the litter every night from the leisure users in the day and boy racers with their McDonald's and stopping it entering the canal. Just did not get it. One bank holiday weekend collected 17 black bags of rubbish from the whole site. Phoned the council on Monday to be told they do not have any bins there, so won't collect it. 3 days later seagulls and rats had ripped the bags apart and the council had to send in a team on a raft to net the canal of rubbish. Now there is a low barrier, stopping anyone using it 24/7.
I've seen the damage and mess caused by many Irish travellers and sadly were tarnished the same. No understanding of our way of life until you explain it. Then usually you get a good response back. Keep going on your travels.
I'm not out to cause an argument, just what I see local to me every summer with the travellers arriving.
I thought it must be something like that - previous bad experiences. It's a shame that everyone one gets tarred with the same brush but for them they have no way of knowing.
they can turn most no over night spots into a sort of ''camp ground'' with a parking fee with a refundable deposit for if no mess and damage was caused, but they then have to man the areas which would cost more than it'd gain, unless they operated multiple places (hub station) by 1 place with an electric barrier paid for by card (maybe via an app) and CCTV overlooking
Some pubs allow overnight parking, all they ask is you go inside for a meal or a couple of drinks. Find them online..
You did us proud! Thank you. Great video. Sorry we didnt let you camp - its a shame. Come back soon. Good luck onwards journey.
🙏🙏🙏
That’s so cool 😎 so glad y’all got to experience that !!
Having done the camper van bit. We used a site called wild camping, also used camping sites, and parked in laybys. I can see both sides. Why not ask the locals what they think .
Loved the vlog x
❤️🙏
Such incredible beaches. Loved this video.😊
Thank you for watching

This week is a real trip down memory Lane for me. Used to live a mile inland from Mundesley, Cromer, Sheringham, Wells, Holkam, Brancaster beaches etc etc are stunning. It’s ridiculous that Norfolk can’t see the value of having van lifers staying in their car parks 😬😡. Great video this week again guys 👍🏻👍🏻💛
❤️❤️❤️
wow thx for this vid! norfolk looks amazing!
Such a cool place
Hi love you guys , can’t wait each week to chat chat up with what your up too , excited for your European trip coming soon .

Some of those beaches looked fantastic!
Incredible
So enjoy watching your vids every Sunday. But don't quite understand why you seem to want to do this trip ASAP!
Surely you have all the time you want. Stay safe.
Rolling for content..
I have a very sick family member and as I am writing this have had to travel back to see him as we thought he was passing...but he has some time left now which is good. But if you see a bit of pace then there is always a reason behind it, and some stuff I don't put on the video...although I might explain a little about the situation in future video
Hi, Holkham Beach is where “Shakespeare in Love” was filmed and in the winter being as its so vast the Queens Household Calvery from nearby Sandringham are quiet often seen exercising their horses along there, also horse & trap races are held along it regularly.

Hey guys! Just stumbled across your channel and so glad I did! Shame about Norfolk not being van lifer friendly!
I live in Lytham, St Anne's which has a coastline spanning miles all the way from Lytham through St Anne's, Blackpool, Bispham & Fleetwood.
St Anne's LOVES van lifers and motor homes.
There's loads of on street free parking with no restrictions. Some vans spend weeks at a time here!
If you would feel safer on a carpark there's dedicated zones for campers/motor homes 👍
Come pay us a visit in Lancashire! It's beautiful this time of year!
If you come through perranporth if you go up lisky hill past lisky caravan park keep going on the right side there’s a pull in or follow the road on and you have 2 pull ins on the left side where you could pull in also if you go through Portreath if you go to the top of lighthouse hill which is steep but I managed to get up in my campervan go past the car park ( you can’t park on the car park over night ) on the left carry on till you come to a Turning point I parked there for the night x I’ve got a high top Ford duetto also Texaco petrol garage in perranporth have a field to can pay to park on over night it was £10 night just go in and ask your right by the town then
So...glad for you both that you found your dream park up :)
Please invest in a snood as you know you can wear them oodles of ways but really good thing about them they keep your neck nice and warm 😊 really good to keep you cosy and less textile than a scarf.
Loved it, great video guys. wells beach is one of our favourites Lots of happy memories there and holkham is just beautiful ! We had same problem with Norfolk so hard to find parkups we just end up driving around in circles every time 😆 brilliant for campsites not so great for wild camping! Big shame. Looking forward to the next one 🚐😁🧡
Thanks guys 👍
Unfortunately wild camping is illegal in all but a few places in England.
Forgotten how beautiful Norfolk is guys, lovely upbeat video x
Cheers dad
Welcome to norfolk/Suffolk. The land where if you live in a van your classed as a Pikey. This is why I visit the peaks and lakes so much. Glad you took my advice on ness point tho. Sadly it is a Concrete jungle and it was pretty grim on your visit but on hot sunny days its a nice place to be/spend a few nights.
Ah nice thanks
Lovely video with a particularly stunning ending.
Thank you 🚐 ❤️
Really enjoyed this weeks video. I love all that area but haven’t been there for years so thanks for the memories 😀
Pleased you enjoyed it 😀
Great vlog, I love Norfolk. Can't wait to see Lincolnshire vlog, as we live in Lincoln! Although alot of coastal car parks are the same here too 🙈
🙈
Another good quality video. Thanks. I live a ten min walk from the beach in Filey and also there’s no overnight parking there too. Sadly this is due to the more disrespectful campers. For every one respectful, thoughtful, considerate and kind hearted Van lifer such as yourselves there are 2 or more polar opposites (as in life), which then spoils things for everyone else. It’s a shame.
Yeah you are probably right
Hi you two, how lovely of the hotel to give you a room for a plug! The restaurant looked supurb! What a shame about parking but .. Looks like you eventually found somewhere in the end , loved seeing the seal s
too, this vlog has been great ! Btw do to get a script with square face lol? As it sounds like I've heard it before with other vloggers! Your face janine was a picture when you saw the seals! It just lit up X
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! No script, just highlighting the features I guess
I always look forward to my Sunday morning exploring - from the comfort of my bed. Thanks guys.
@janine love the haircut :) @liam is that the official collective term for seals - a clump ? :D
Haha 😄 yes it is
I go to Norfolk some times and my auntie dawn has a caravan in Norfolk 😁😁😊
Loved the look around the beaches 🥰👍
Thank you
Hi guys hope your both well loving the videos lately always look forward to them. What a pain it is trying to find parking spots around that area such a shame but anyway take care guys

Bit late watching this one, The lack of park ups was a bummer for this part of uk guys, hope it gets better as you travel more north & west, still a good watch though so thanks.👍

Great blog again guys, such a shame about the lack of overnight parking. Loved seeing the seals!. You need to pack a couple of emergency ponchos, for when those showers arrive! 😂
Haha yeah, was a proper downpour
Fantastic best thing on a Sunday ! Have a great week 😀
Thank you, you too
