- We are back in Istanbul (Turkey Travel 2022) to cross off 5 things on our bucket list before leaving, and one of them really hurt!

The new hatch on the roof of the campervan is a SkyMaxx, bit of a game changer for us, and comes in two sizes, compatible with roof thicknesses 23-60mm. Here is a link with locations to find one yourself leisurevehicleservices.co.uk/... We got this as a PR sample, and are really impressed so far
The lighting on top of the van is supplied by AuxBeam and we love them, including that light-bar that is all operated by a switch panel and bluetooth. Here is a link auxbeam.com/

The Woodburner is from Outbacker Stoves
The Fridge is a 130l Webasto, and is really good so far, once again will let you know more in coming weeks

Great Video guys. I'm from England (Somerset) but have lived in Turkey for many years now. You're experience of Turkish hospitality is not unique. No matter where I've been in Turkey they are always very kind and hospitable.. Even in these times when the Turkish economic situation is so bad.

WOW ......once again such a lovely blog.I loved it,it was so interesting, and magical even.Turkish people are the best .My late husband worked in Istanbul a lot, and stayed with a wonderful Turkish family for months at a time.He said they made him feel like family.😁
I used to live in Istanbul for more than two years in the late 90s. I taught German at a Turkish school. I loved every minute of it; Istanbul is an amazing place, because of the different culture it feels exotic somehow, yet still familiar. Not so happy with the politics going on at the moment there, but certainly hoping to revisit this gorgeous city sometime soon.

Every time my wife and I visit Turkey we have a Turkish bath love the clean relaxed feeling, something that you will never forget

December 25 2022: What an incredible treat and so posh the hotel, spa treatment detail with towels formed like swans, food…what an incredible treat. I can imagine how it feels with the massage. Turkish coffee I have tried and not a great fan at all. Both of you look fabulous. Janine is so smart with wearing her trainers. Not a vegan but as I continue to watch your video’s I have been slowly edging that way and what a distract change in my health. Thank you for sharing your epic trips with us.

Been 3 times now the city is just magical, like you have found out the Turkish people are very nice, welcoming and very generous.
We just love Turkey and holiday there every year normally, cannot wait to go back, it just grips you and is one of the most wonderful countries to visit.
The only place we haven’t been is Cappadocia, COVID interrupted our plans to go there, it will have to wait as we are going to India in the spring 2023, but we will tick our bucket list with Cappadocia later now.

How can you not enjoy Turkey. We were in Istanbul area in April with very similar experiences. Can't wait to see you back in your ' Big Green Removal Van' home. Safe trip home!!
Hey Janine, a local here. I believe the reason Turkish Tea tasted too strong for you is that you forgot to add hot water to the tea. The entire tank beneath the tea kettles contains hot water and you simply need to fill the cup half with tea and half with hot water.

I have really loved your videos of this 40th birthday trip. I obviously enjoy your van travels, we have a van ourselves but this trip has really shown your wonderful personalities and your amazing film making skills. The photography and editing was fantastic especially in the ballon, I think that 360 degree camera footage is hard work to edit and in the bazaar. I know you’re probably bankrupt now 🤣🤣 but you should definitely do more of these Happy Days! I love Travel Beans too and they have just hit 250k subscribers. You can also hit that, I’m sure. Marian and Chris got stuck in Turkey for the whole of covid lockdown.. about 18 months.. on their round the world trip in their campervan. It meant that they really got to know Turkey, the people, travel and eat the most delicious food everywhere. I've only been to Turkey once and loved it.. the people are really friendly and the food and landscapes are gorgeous.
