The new hatch on the roof of the campervan is a SkyMaxx, bit of a game changer for us, and comes in two sizes, compatible with roof thicknesses 23-60mm. Here is a link with locations to find one yourself leisurevehicle... We got this as a PR sample, and are really impressed so far
The lighting on top of the van is supplied by AuxBeam and we love them, including that light-bar that is all operated by a switch panel and bluetooth. Here is a link auxbeam.com/
Our extremely comfortable duvet & pillows came from our friends at Duvet Hog, which are vegan and made of recycled materials. We have used them in our previous van and honestly is the comfirst bedding we hage ever bought. PR Sample duvethog.co.uk...
Our mattress came from a company that do awesome made-to-fit mattresses for campervans (and houses). The company is called Custom Size Beds customsizebeds...
The Woodburner is from Outbacker Stoves

Hi guys the noodles you bought are called shhpetzler not sputzler incase you wanted to know the correct pronounciation. You just add butter and salt to it. It's basically German pasta/noodles and you can add anything to it like bratwurst sausages or whatever vegan meat you desire. I'm english but my grandad was German so I have had spätzle many times both in Germany and in England. Sometimes you can buy it in aldi or lidl in England though probably not the vegan version so stock up on it if you like it before you leave Germany
Liam enjoyed it more than janine haha, it was a funny food but could get used to it

The absolute most important ingredient in spaetzle is eggs (the more the better), so the vegan version is unlikely to work. My absolute favorite is Kässpätzle and beats Maccaroni and Cheese hands down. The cheese (mountain cheese) and the fried onions with it omg heaven.

You both looked amazing and extremely Germanic! I lived in Germany when I was a bairn and went to all the schutzenfests with my Parents,we always ended up in the beer tent. loved the gingerbread hearts and watching this brought back all the smells and memories from years ago.Thanks for that x

What a wild and memorable two days, with you both looking so adorable in your traditional costumes in the beer tent searching for a table one day and landing one at 9am on day 2! Perseverance pays off!! This ultimate beer bash in Munich was clearly not to be missed, and thank you for taking us with you. Your determination to get into that tent on day 2 had me riveted! It was so worth it.

What absolute madness! Thank you soooooo much for sharing your account. My dad and a buddy of his went to Oktoberfest when they were in their 70s! They flew from LA to Munich! That had their share of steins, lost their rental car on the way out, and were so inebriated that my dad said to his friend "Leroy, we are going to have to hold one another up."! My dad tried to explain the madness, as they did not get any photos. Now I know what they experienced. I am going to show your vlog to my mom, who refused to go on the trip. She is going to go mental when she sees it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I was fortunate to experience this when I was in the Air Force stationed in Germany back in the eighties. It hasn't changed and is still the biggest and best party in the world. I'm so glad you got to experience this once in a lifetime event. Stay safe in your travels. Prosit!

If you went to octoberfest on the First day you will only be able to get a Beer after the First keg has been Opened at 12:00.
Trying to get a table is also quite hard depending on what day you went.

I went to Octoberfest, in Munich, with 4 other friends, and couldn’t get a beer because we couldn’t find seats and you have to get seated to have a beer. We had beer at the train depot. It was still a great experience and great people watching. Thanks for taking us with you.

I think people reserve seats a year in advance. I was going to go this year we had a little eurail trip planned but I couldn't get anywhere to look after my cat so we just went for a week instead. I'm so glad I missed this I would have hated it. Probably still be hungover now! Glad you got to enjoy it

I'm a Welsh Ex-pat living in the North of Germany.I love München (Munich) but never go there for the "Wiesn" (Oktoberfest) It's much less stress at other times and going from Beer hall to Beer garden through the city sampling the different beers and food is always a pleasure when there aren't Hundreds of thousands of extra visitors in the city !!

Well you both have guts to wear those outfits twice. I think after the first outing I would have reverted back to jeans and a teeshirt! It's not what I thought as I guess I'm thinking of the past. It looks a lot more commercialised in the tents than I thought. Tbh I thought it was a big building with black forest decorations and stuff. It looked a load of fun and you both had a great time. Sorry you got the rain. This vid will give potential van lifers and visitors a view of what to do and save all the stress next year. Great video look forward to next one. 👍🇬🇧❤

Hi. We just done what you done a week earlier. Arrived on muddy fest field and went oh oh. As we were mid week there was space everywhere in the park. At the Wiesn, there was room in every tent all day long until 6pm. We chose the Augistener tent as it is more traditional where the Germans go. The Paulaner tent is for younger people as is the Hofrohause and Lowenbrau and maybe not full of locals but tourists. Great to see your video. If you ever go again, stay in Landsberg am Lech in the Stellplatz then get train in. Much easier and that is what we doing next time. Luxembourg next for us. Enjoy rest of your trip. If on return leg try and get to Munich city centre itself called Marianplatz. Loads to see and do and stay in Landsberg as said where there is water, WC and electricity.

We met a young lad while hiking in Norway and he invited us to his village Oktoberfest which was very like that but obviously on a much smaller scale and not at rip off prices

Oh I felt so sad when you couldn't get a beer. I did the fest in 1989,1990 and 1991 a week each time. Always started in the Paulner tent then off to HB tent. Happy memories thanks for sharing.
