If you wanna make a butter sauce version, I'd recommend this!
On a hot pan put your butter, add as much soy sauce as you want. Let it heat up so you get that smokey flavour. Then I added the pepper flakes, garlic, and vinegar. I liked adding roasted coriander (cilantro) and sesame seeds at the end.
Your noodles don't really matter, but I found chow mein noodles to have a good springyness to it.
I like butter sauces better because they don't require really hot oil, but it's all up to you on your flavour profile 🥰🥰

Depends on the bottle size you bought. These ingredients definitely is staple in cooking so if you got the "western" size, it's not budget friendly.

Does your recipe actually mean 3 tablespoons of black vinegar or is that a typo? I made it a few weeks ago and was shocked that it said 3 tablespoons. I was excited to make this recipe, but had to throw it away because there was just way too much vinegar.

Or you can also use shanxi planed or shanxi fresh noodles; they're basically the same thing! They are Oriental fettuccine noodles and you can get them in the Asian markets !!!! Really good 😅
