As a retired EE in my 70s, I also enjoyed that. What would have been a cherry on top would have been a bit of CGI to convert it to a NIXIE tube doing a count down. But, I understand that budgets and time constraints place limitations on production. I must get one of those, my next Raspberry PI project needs it.

I don’t claim to understand what exactly was going on here, but there were some fantastic cinematic effects, which I loved. I suppose the disjointed nature of the story mirrors the heroine’s struggle to make sense of a changed and chaotic world?? One inadvertently created by herself? Well done - I’d like to see more!
Not sure if this is a dystopian future or just a bad acid trip. Might help if there was a plot or a direction but all I can see is this girl is high af and has the munchies. Better luck next time
Hi Paul. Thank you for your nice words. And sorry for the late reply. For some reason, I didn't get a notification from RUclips. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to watch our short film and to comment. It really means a lot. Best Wishes from Denmark. Jan
Well done. With COVID still around, this is especially interesting and timely. Will at sometime in the future earth be hit with a virus of extinction level? Natural or manufactured? Something dug up after being buried for a million years? Well done.
Thank you. Yeah, I had no idea that it would come to resemble the world we know today at the time of release. The science-fiction became overtaken by reality - at least to some extend. I like the idea of a virus being dug up. Who knows what lay hidden beneath the poles or the ice on Greenland, which are all currently melting. Maybe we'll all get the dinosaur mosquito flu next :S
have no idea what was going on...thought it was supposed to be a computer game (noted the Wargames references at the start)....but that doesn't explain the 'ending'
This video that looks so Pro with just you filming it I wander if you could possibly in the future make more go to Chernobyl for a few shots to make part 2!Can you upload on Vimeo?! Thanks
Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot! I'd love to go to Chernobyl to do some shots. That would be cool. It won't happen anytime soon however because of the pandemic. The weird thing is, that when I did the first scene, my initial idea was to film the protagonist from the outside of the hotel also and then pan to empty streets of Copenhagen. But I had to discard the idea because there were people and cars and bicycles everywhere. So it would be impossible to remove them all. Today I would actually be able to do it because of the Coronavirus. Really weird times. I'm in the process of uploading a ProRes version to Vimeo right now. It takes some time (10.4 GB). I'll post a link here as soon as it is up :)
You're absolutely right, and I've been annoyed by this myself. I wish we had the money for a make-up artist and the time. But this was pretty much a run-and-gun film, with me, my girlfriend, and a small handheld camera. Often we had to film a scene in a couple of hours - and sometimes with our baby son sleeping in a baby carriage next to us (if we were lucky). But hey we had fun... and a lot of stress :D
I'm struggling to understand the ending.... so the whole movie she was making up her reality in like a dream-state? So she "wakes up" and she's still in captivity ?
I like the film and the concept but… why in the world (other than to display ravenous hunger) would anyone open a can of beans and then scoop out the contents with their fingers? That’s a great way to introduce a LOT of germs directly into your body. Just open the can, and pour the contents into your mouth. I do like the idea of the goggles!
If you're super hungry and haven't eaten in days, you don't think straight and your mind doesn't work, as it should. I guess you could justify it like that? :) Thanks for your comment btw.
@@michaelstele5871 Hahaha... yeah... though on the www, different perspectives have a tendency to turn into flamewars more than bring people together :)

Thank you so much for your constructive criticism. I'm glad you found the film interesting and well made. It really means a lot for a first-time filmmaker like me :)
As an engineer - I particularly enjoyed the USB Vacuum tube :)
Thank you. I also thought it was so cool. I bought it from someone in Russia, who sold it on Etsy. I just had to have it and use it in the film :)

Wearing boots without socks? Now THATS dystopian!

The eeeeewwww factor was the decayed flesh in the boots.....
