Wendi is laughing all the way to the bank. She cut ties with her whole family once Charlie took his fall. Now that Donna is in her own suicidal watch cell Wendi has no contact with Harvey. This whole crime happened because of Wendi and in the end she’s the only one who got away.

Every call, I’m astounded by his level of delusion. It’s also abundantly clear he is not the brightest bulb. To top it off, I think he just makes things up as he goes along. “Juror misconduct is the #1 way to get a new trial”. Um, hate to break it to you Charlie boy but jury instructions are the #1 reason convictions are overturned.

He didn’t have to have a jury trial. He could have had a judge decide. A judge knows the law and is sworn to be impartial and if they can’t be, legally, they’d have to recuse themselves. He thought he could fool people. If he won (lol), he’d be raving about how great this process went. With that said, I think the only reason for an appeal would be being denied change of venue. Good luck Charlie! (I picture the Charlie Brown cartoon with Wendi holding the football and Charlie falling on his butt)
And reasonable doubt is that there is no other reasonable explanation to consider then the one that the prosecutor tells. His story wasn’t reasonable. Period.
Yep. And in order for an appellate court to overturn the conviction based on the denial to change venue, his attnys have to show there likely would have been a different outcome. (Which is impossible) So, at best, it’s a harmless error.

I know one thing: Dan Rashbaum was not honest with Charlie about how the trial was progressing. Maybe its because he is inexperienced with criminal defense and he is only used to defending white collar crime......;but its kind of hard to give him that pass. Because, if you are a great atty; then a component of that is your ability to have a good awareness about how the trial is progressing. So I'm not sure if it was a case that Rashbaum suffers from the same kind of delusional denial that the Adelsons suffer from ; or, Rashbaum was just flat out lying to Charlie and Donna, keeping them calm and placated. In any case, I dont think he had a comprehensive defense strategy and i find it almost impossible to believe that he worked harder on Charlies case than any other casechw has defended . .. as he had told that to Charlie.
