@@ItsLoshy oh interesting... in my case I suspect it could be the USB-B port of the MIDI controller that doesn't hold the USB plug firmly enough, which could result in a similar effect to a faulty USB cable, hence the "USB device not recognized" error message... I wish it would only be a faulty cable...!
I've arturia minilab . Same problem. Not working with windows 10 20H update. So distrubing. Installed all the drivers from original website still not working even not able to perform firmwire update.
@@manuele.itriagom.728 Uninstall all the drivers and if you have windows latest version it'll not work, you need to downgrad the windows incase you are using windows
I found that with Arturia Midi I de-installed their "Midi Control Center", unplugged then replugged in the USB cable that damn thing works perfectly! WTF?
@@EulersIdentityCrisis Figured it out had to go into my registry and delete a bunch of duplicate midi cuzz I had hit the cap apparently it has to be one of the 0-9 cuzz korg was on midi 10 and wouldn't work got it down to MIDI 4 and works fine I'm using it with midi mixer now can't figure out how to get lights to stay on or do anything special tho like I've seen other people do.
anybody using Yamaha motif ES 7 or earlier,,, shite outa luck. I've been trying to get a driver for win 10 for months, years actually, still no go. Why can't a huge company like Yamaha afford to make a decent uprgrade for these older devices? Cause they want you to buy their new crap. I don't even like my motif that much and I was hoping to at least use it for a midi controller but,,, who the Hell am I to tell the Yamaha Gods what to do.
I think some of the frustration should be aimed at Microsoft as well. I've never had these issues before Windows 10 but apparently people have had issues in previous versions.
Glad I'm not the only dealing with this.
Not sure if my situation is related with this but when I tried connecting my Akai mpk49 it says “USB device not recognized”
Same here with an old M-Audio Axiom, have you found a solution?
@@spaceshipper2for71 yes, turns out the cable I was using it to connect my midi was not working so I got a new one and it worked

I had this problem with a digital piano. Installing the Windows MIDI Controller app from the Microsoft store solved it for me.
Interesting. I'll take a look at that app. Is it free?

I installed both of the MIDI programs others mentioned in the comments. Did nothing with those programs but suddenly my MPK Mini works again. lol
So basically no solution for no drivers and plug and play midi devices not working in Windows 10
I've been having this problem with my Tangent Wave2. So frustrating!
For some reason, my MIDI Akai Max49 was working fine yesterday, and then today, I plug it in and the screen on the keyboard doesnt turn on
MIDIberry on microsoft store made it work for me!
I trying to make work my pioneer ddj 400 equalizer on windows applications, is there some fit software?
Neither my mk3 nor pioneer ddj sb3 work
i have the nano korg mini and i absolutely cannot get it to work
Did you download the Korg drivers? As I recall they come in a bundle with a number of Korg products.
