Exactly Be present with the feeling , don’t force it to come up, have the intention for it and let go, your body is so smart it knows what to do with it more than you do. It will feel intense but keep reminding yourself that you’re safe. You’re not against the feeling you’re just transforming it into something beautiful. Don’t fight anything within yourself.
I like when he says : « Instead of being in your head, be in your body and feel.. instead ». That is very potent and powerful and definitely resonates with me. I suffer and have suffered from a deep mental issue of sorts that rippled my life, mostly when faced with being in front of too many people. But decades later, I’ve learned to letting go.. But panic attacks were and still can be right around the corner all set and ready to pounce on me. What Evan teaches me here is to ..stop anticipating and be in the feel-right-this-second. That is the only thing that can work for me.. And as he says: all about the ..nerves in there. Thank you to Evan here. 🙏
I just did this technique... I layed my hands over my heart and said "I feel pain"... Felt the pain (breakup) burning in my chest and tears were flowing and after a while it began to feel calmer and almost softer and now I feel much more like myself again, like something got purged or something... Thank you Evan, this really works..... ❤
I just listened through again. And I definitely agree and concur here with what Evan says. Through and through. All those other behavioural ways to deal with it don’t necessarily help such as : What can possibly be worse?; exercising yes a bandaid but just temporary, etc. I’ve tried those multiple times.. and they don’t really tend to heal the problem at its source or in the bud. They don’t harm any worse but don’t do it enough for me either.
Great information. Thanks for sharing this video i could resonate a lot. When you said just be yourself like you are with your closest people. What if even that is a authentic but also a little acted out. Because you wanted to practice your “dream” self with them and now you don’t really remember how to be yourself 100% without a little bit of this masking.
This is very important remark that LGT is not about getting rid our emotions but it's about acceptance and integration. Thanks Evan. Now I'm gonna change my approach in some way
I think the best way to overcome anxiety is to just don't give a FACK about anyone anything and be unapologetically YOU as you are works like magic when you keep repeating it you will be flying no anxiety anymore, fuck the world this is me deal with it. Without being mean to people of course.
Do you think this letting go technique would work for misaphonia. So slowly exposing myself to the sounds and allowing myself to fully feel all the emotions/sensations without judgement
I want to ask you something: When you let go of an ex, you eliminate the possibility of them coming back to you. Acceptance. But should the opportunity ever arise, how would you react to it? (Seeing them again in real life or contacting you)
I like your videos but, when i do the letting to phase, i cant feel nothing in my stomach, like yes, when im in social situations i feel anxiety in my stomach, but when i go home and i try to feel it, its gone.
I guess in that case you just have to try and feel the emotions in the situation and not be panicked by them. Sometimes just being aware and taking a few deep breaths can help. The trick is do not try to suppress the emotions. Just name them in your mind and say ‘I know you’re there, I feel you, I’m safe- they’re just feelings and will pass in time’. But I guess it takes practice. I’m still working on it.

“No amount of anxiety makes any difference to anything that is going to happen” - Alan Watts
It can surely make a negative difference

All your inner demons will shatter when you realize they are imaginary..imagined by you to be real.
Excellent vlog, very informative 👍
For how much time a day you think i should do this?

@@RecordingTush listen to how you feel when that situation arises
