- If Qui-Gon Jinn survived his fight with Darth Maul and lived to train Anakin Skywalker, as he meant to, how would the Prequel Trilogy have been different? Would Anakin have turned to the Dark side? Could Qui-Gon have stopped Palpatine from forming The Empire? Would the changes have been so significant, that they heavily altered the Original Trilogy as we know it? What I want to see next is "What if John Connor lived in Terminator Dark Fate?"
Since Doug and Rob found the Sonic movie to be lame and "written for 5-year olds", how about they do a fanscription on "What if the Sonic movie was better?" Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the Sonic movie, but I would like to see their version of it.
Plus, there's this Deviantartist named DelDiz who tried to predict what the movie would be like with his fanart, and his interpretation a lot more emotional and would've been very interesting to see.

I personally hated TPM due to the misuse of its potential, but looking back, Qui-Gon is actually a fantastic character!

I loved Qui Gon because he was the only real Jedi. He served the force, not the Republic. He was more than willing to call out the Councils BS, and actively refused to play by the councils rules. Also he is extremely underrated.

My only gripe is that while Dooku would've left the Jedi Order. He wouldn't have gone towards the path of the Dark Side if it wasn't for Qui-Gon's death.

Thanks for watching! From what I’ve read/researched, Dooku’s fall to the Dark side having to do with Qui-Gon’s death was more of a Legends thing. In the current canon it didn’t seem Jinn’s death affected his turn all that much. At least from what I’ve seen. But in any case, we can just say there was another reason entirely since we’re straying so far from the originals anyway. Haha.
I actually think it would be really cool if count dooku got his own movie - showing the history btwn him qui gon jin and his conflict with the order/empire etc

If Qui-Gon were his master, Anakin wouldn't have felt a need to go to Palpatine for acknowledgement and wouldn't get brainwashed by him, because Qui-Gon would understand how Anakin felt and would have been able to advise him a lot better than Obi-Wan did.

Qui-Gon would have propably been the one person to keep Anakin from falling if any could. While we sadly dont see much of it in the Movie, he was basicly almost a Grey Jedi, having long understood that the Councils dogmatic adherance to the code only created trouble and was deeply flawed. So he would have shown Anakin the support he needed, becoming someone he could trust even with matters strictly against the jedi code like his love fo Padme, her pregnancy and the visions of her death wich troubled him so much. Anakin migth still fall but if there is one Jedi to prevent it it would have been Qui-Gon.

I love this idea because Quigon was willing to go against the Council, especially with training Anakin, he’d certainly be more mindful of Anakin’s emotions, especially love, makes sense he’d be more willing to allow them for Anakin, but would make sure Anakin was more aware of they’re influence on him. I love Quigon.
All very true! Qui-Gon was meant to be Anakin's rightful master and any alternate outcome like THIS would've been better than what happened in canon.
Man, I really like this! Seems like this concept has been done to death, but I like the way you guys did it. And I’m glad Qui-Gon didn’t join Dooku, I was kinda worried he might do that. Plus, neat how you brought back Maul early, and Grievous too. I can’t wait to see how Revenge of the Sith goes!
Darth Vader would never happen, that's for certain. Anakin was a free spirit, because he was not raised in the order. Same can be said about Qui Gon Jin, who opposed the Order's conservative views for the most part. These two would understand each other. Qui Gon would help Anakin find a way between the light and the dark, a true understanding of the force, without going into darkness. Something Obi Wan could never do, because he was a typical jedi in his mindset, who would rather never oppose the council. Perhaps these two, Ahsoka, and a bunch of other characters who didn't really associated with jedi's purity, would end up establishing a grey jedi order, or something else to that extent? Well who really knows.

I agree on all that! Qui-Gon and Anakin would've been perfect together cause Qui-Gon wasn't really with how the old Jedi order was back then and he would've always backed Anakin up against the damn council. Also as you said he would've trained Anakin in balancing both sides of the force without him turning evil.

He would sleep with wimon and use death sticks but always stay in the light just beeing free but knowing his limmits he also learned qui gon how to swim.
I'd make Owen Lars (uncle Owen) the one who blows up the separatist ship. Then make him member of Padme's guard, who acompanies them into hiding, there he bonds with Anakin and fills the role of friend, which was filled by Obi-Wan (plus the role of master). That way we have Obi-Wan's role split in two people. After that, Owen could be best man on Anakin's wedding and he'd also be one of few people who would know about Luke and Leia and maybe after some promise to Anakin (If something happenes to me and/or Padme...), he'd take care of Luke and Leia would go with weak, injured and dying Padme to Alderan. Twins would still have to be split.
Except for one thing. There would be no proper introduction for Owen in the story, whose father fell in love with a freed Schmi, after HE freed her.

That bit with Anakin screaming at the death of a friend and using the force to knock Darth Maul off balance would have actually been really good in the proper film just with Qui-Gon dying in his arms, then we can actually see the raw power of Anakin
What if Anakin got TAKEN by Maul in the desert and qui-gon had to use his one of a kind skills to get him back?
What if Anakin and Maul created a unique relationship in that small time, anakin picked up some sith tricks and that was his dark side foundation. Qui-gon did eventually get him back, but it was too late. maul‘s major influence helped concrete Anakin to the dark side. ...you see Maul throughout the prequel trilogy and after Mauls death, we would see anakin grieve in a way nobody could foresee.

Very nice work! However about Obi-Wan dying I always imagined him surviving too and moving on to becoming a Jedi Knight and Anakin taking his place as Qui-Gon's next apprentice. Also I think he would've went with Anakin to Tatooine to help him save his mother too. Anyway can't wait to see the next part of this!

In your previous video I requested a what if Red Skull went in the ice with Steve Rogers. But that would mean that you would have to reshape the entire mcu which can be alot of work giving his part to play with the soul stone. So how about instead Red Skull is a villain in the Avengers movie woth Loki and he ends up "dying" the same way. Anyways this has been another awsome video keep up the great work. Duckboi 711 well I thought of what if Red Skull was in Captain America civil war where the plot elements in based the red zone and the death of Red skull where he brought back to Earth by Baron Helmut Zemo and he give him a new name, resources and diplomatic immunity which would make it harder for Captain America if he signs the accords.

0009 LAH I wished they used qui-gon in the original trilogy... yeah why the flying shit they don't simply reboot the timeline? why everything has to be god damm conected? comic book did this for decades hell even friggin Star Trek so why Star Wars can't? They can have more creative liberty when they don't have to be attached to other timelines and they can create interesting new stories with an already knew material. Honestly clone wars would be one hundred per cent better if its own thing like the batman animated series, or the spectacular spider man insted of a "prequel" that fix every problem of episode 3. That why I like the 2d microseries better because even if it ties a little bit with the movies it's still his own thing like the mandalorian or fallen order. Star Wars should be an expansion of ideas, not an on going universe that has a weeker lore than the Bible or the matrix, and that's before the Disney era. We all know batman is a bob Kane property, but we also love Tim burton version of batman, or Nolans versión, or even frank millers. Why Star Wars always need to be a George lucas property when the best stuff out of it it's when he isn't around and that's saying A LOT.

@@thomastakesatollforthedark2231 Yep, in the original draft. Obiwan was a Jedi Knight that recruited Anakin. and Quigon was a jedi master serving on the council. He had only a tiny role in the story.
Hell the whole Anakin/Padme thing made more sense because they were the same age and they both had teenage crushes on each other, not him being some weird 11 year old spitting game.
@@Kekkersboy that honestly sounds... Bad. At least in the way that GL wanted to show Anakin's fall. In the current version he grew up as a slave but as a person but during puberty (with all the hormones and lacking 9 years of indoctrination) he can't cope since he just doesn't get the right guidance since no Jedi had this issue. This makes his fall much more believable as all the bad shit he did just came off more like a repressed child who didn't get any help just grasping at the only straw there is for aid in his issues (aka: Palpatine). Though I agree on the Padme thing. That should've been kept the same though I don't think it would be...well logical for an 11yo to be elected queen

One thing I always wished had happened in the prequel trilogy was that palpatines reveal had been more of a surprise. The scene from the trailer where the light sabre appears in his hand always struck with me - I wish that that had been the first moment that we realise he was the sith lord

It would’ve changed the entire story. Part of what led to Anakin’s downfall was the fact that Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn’t ready to handle the task of training such a talented Jedi prodigy. He was barely a knight when he was given the rank of master. Too immature. As Qui-Gon said, he had much to learn of the living Force. He also suffered from the same dogmatic conditioning that led to the Order being deceived and destroyed which is why he didn’t want Qui-Gon to train him along with him being a little jealous of how much Qui-Gon seems to care for him. Qui-Gon was somewhat stern with Obi but was always patient with him. Obi has a tendency to be a title too stern with Anakin whereas Qui-Gon would have been more patient with him.
You're right cause Obi-Wan was more like a strict older brother on Anakin than a fatherly figure of a master as Qui-Gon could've been here and he always followed the damn rules of the cold Jedi council and that's why Anakin didn't trust him too much with his problems which is what made it so easy for Palpatine to corrupt and turn Anakin little by little in EP2, SWTCW and in EP3!
Not really sure that much changed in the story line itself with Qui Gon still being alive as of yet. Some minor changes I can see, but I wouldn't say that this is a bad thing that outcome of the story hadn't changed much. I can definitely see more changing in future if Qui Gon was Anakins master

Introducing Cyborg Darth Maul and General Grievous early. Bold choices. Funny that the greatest change hinges on 9-year-old Anakin having a different attitude. I would have liked to see smart-alec, streetwise Anakin. But how would the Trade Federation ship in Episode I blow up if he didn't do it? And how would Jar-Jar do it if he's on the ground?

I really enjoyed this, for part two you should try to cover a little of how Qui-Gon’s presence would have effected the clone wars. Personally I think Qui-Gon would have been a healthy enough father figure in Anakin’s life for him that when palpatine revealed himself as the Sith Lord, Anakin might not have joined him, though from watching part one, Qui-Gon seems to be suspicious of the senate already and might pass his suspicions on to Anakin who may suspect Palpatine come ep.3, who knows 🤔🤔

That'd be completely against the point. Qui-Gon was supposed to be Anakin's master, but because it turned out to be Obi-Wan instead is part of what led to Anakin's downfall, since Obi-Wan wasn't ready to take on the challenge and Qui-Gon's philosophy is what Anakin truly needed. It's set up that way on purpose. It's one of the many factors that led to Anakin's turn to the Dark Side.

i know you're covering the prequels, but i'm curious how Qui-Gon would influence Luke. Based on how little he knew Ben yet the way he reacted, i wonder... plus how old would Qui-Gon be anyway? ...that being said. how much of the story would have changed if force ghost Qui-Gon were to train Luke and not Yoda...

@@WalterCulture honestly at 4:04 the only thing missing is Gohan's fighting frieza theme and it would be perfect, I played it over that scene you wrote and it was just like Gohan going mad, except it's Anakin killing Maul.
